ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article having a main body having a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core sandwiched between the topsheet and the backsheet is disclosed. The main body has longitudinal and transversal axes. The article has two wings extending asymmetrically outwardly from a crotch portion of the main body in opposite directions with respect to the longitudinal axis. The wings are provided with means for fastening them to a garment when folded over the main body and towards the longitudinal axis. Each wing has an outer edge which defines at least one arc of a circle having a radius coinciding with a section of the outer edge. The section extends between a first point and a second point along the outer edge where the arc no longer coincides with the outer edge. The radius is between 40-500 mm. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the absorbent article.
The article has two wings extending asymmetrically outward from a crotch portion of the main body with respect to the longitudinal axis. The wings each have a means for fastening them to a garment when folded over the main body towards the longitudinal axis. The fastening means for each wing are offset from each other in the longitudinal direction. A method for manufacturing the absorbent article is also disclosed.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article (1) includes a body (8) including a liquid-permeable top sheet (3), a liquid-impermeable bottom sheet (2), and an absorber (4) provided between the top sheet and the bottom sheet, and a hip holding portion (H). The body has a shape having a predetermined length in a front-rear direction and a predetermined width in a direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction. The hip holding portion includes a side region protruding from a rear side portion of the body and a rear region protruding from the rear end of the body, and includes a first protruding portion (41) including a portion where the width of the body from a centerline in the front-rear direction is largest, a first depressed portion (51) forward of and adjacent to the first protruding portion, and a second protruding portion (42) forward of and adjacent to the first depressed portion in the side region. The width (c) of the second protruding portion from the centerline is smaller than or equal to the smallest width (d) of the first depressed portion from the centerline.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article (1) includes a hip hold portion (H) and a main body (8) including a liquid-pervious topsheet (3), a liquid-impervious backsheet (2), and an absorbent member (4) arranged between the topsheet and the backsheet. The main body has a shape with a prescribed length in the front-back direction and a prescribed width in the direction orthogonal to the front-back direction. The hip hold portion includes a side region (10) protruding from a backward side portion of the main body, and the side region includes a first protrusion (41) including a portion having a greatest width from a front-back direction centerline of the main body, a first recess (51) that is in front of and adjacent to the first protrusion, and a second protrusion (42) that is in front of and adjacent to the first recess. The outline of the first recess includes a curved line, and a rigid area (70) including one or more rigid portions (60) with enhanced rigidity is provided on a first imaginary line passing through a bottom point of the first recess and a center of a circle of curvature of a curve at the bottom point of the first recess.
ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
An absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis is provided. The article has a topsheet and backsheet, together forming a chassis that is symmetrical about the transverse axis. An absorbent core is disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, with a perimeter of the chassis extending beyond the surface area of the core. The absorbent core is asymmetrical about the transverse axis. In one embodiment, less than 50% of the surface area of the absorbent article is mechanically compressed. In another embodiment, the absorbent article has an in-use flexibility of less than 170 mN, preferably less than 130 mN. In a further embodiment, the absorbent article has a stiffness measured in the core free area of less than 0.4 g*cm.
ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
An absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and a front region and rear region disposed either side of the transverse axis is provided. The article has a topsheet with a shape that is symmetrical about the transverse axis and a backsheet with the same shape and size as the topsheet. An absorbent core is disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, the absorbent core being asymmetrical about the transverse axis of the article, wherein more than 50% of the absorbent core is disposed in the front region of the absorbent article. The absorbent article further has an absorbency indicator, wherein more than 50% of the absorbency indicator is provided in the front of the absorbent article.
METHOD FOR MAKING ADAPTABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
A method of making an absorbent article having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis is provided. The method involves delivering a supply of absorbent web in a machine direction and cutting the absorbent web material in a cross-direction to form a repeating nested pattern of generally identically shaped and oppositely oriented absorbent cores that are asymmetrical about the transverse axis. The cut absorbent cores are then positioned between a continuous web of topsheet and backsheet material, wherein the absorbent cores remain in the cross-direction and are spaced apart in the machine direction. Absorbent articles are then stamped out in the cross-direction, wherein adjacent absorbent articles have alternately oriented absorbent cores.
Absorbent article with dual core
An absorbent article. The absorbent article includes a topsheet having a body contacting surface, a backsheet joined to said topsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein the absorbent core has an upper layer and a lower layer.
FEMININE HYGIENE ARTICLE
Feminine hygiene articles are disclosed herein. The feminine hygiene articles described herein can provide easily discernable placement and orientation guides which reduce the likelihood of misapplication by the user, facilitated attachment guides which can reduce the likelihood of misapplication of the feminine pad and can also reduce the likelihood of improper attachment of the feminine pad to a panty. The feminine hygiene articles disclosed include wings which can provide cues on proper attachment of the article to the panty, and wing adhesive distributed in a way which can provide sustained coverage of the feminine hygiene article to the panty which reduces the likelihood that the pad will become detached during use.
