DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES
An absorbent article comprising a first and second plurality of elastics. The first plurality of elastics may be disposed in a front and a crotch region. The second plurality of elastics may be disposed in a back region and the crotch region. The first and second plurality of elastics may be linear and parallel with a transverse axis of the article.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH LEG GASKETING SYSTEM
Disclosed is an absorbent article comprising: a core chassis and a leg gasketing system comprising a pair of wearer facing cuff regions formed by inwardly extending cuff material over a wearer facing side of the core chassis, each wearer facing cuff region comprising a longitudinally extending inner cuff sealing and a longitudinally extending inner cuff free edge positioned inward from the inner cuff sealing, wherein the inner cuff sealing bonds the cuff material and a topsheet, and an inner cuff elastic element is disposed adjacent the inner cuff free edge; a pair of garment facing cuff regions formed by inwardly extending the cuff material over a garment facing side of the core chassis, and a pair of outer cuff elastic elements disposed on wearer facing cuff regions or garment facing cuff regions, each outer cuff elastic element superposing the core side regions and disposed outward from the inner cuff sealings.
Methods and apparatuses for making elastomeric laminates
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. Aspects of the methods for assembling elastomeric laminates may utilize elastic strands supplied from beams that may be joined with first and second substrates, and may be configured to carry out various types of operations, such as bonding and splicing operations.
LAMINATE(S) COMPRISING BEAMED ELASTICS AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE(S) COMPRISING SAID LAMINATE(S)
The present disclosure relates to one or a combination of an absorbent article's chassis, inner leg cuffs, outer leg cuffs, ear panels, side panels, waistbands, and belts that may comprise one or more pluralities of tightly spaced (less than 4 mm, less than 3 mm, less than 2 mm, and less than 1 mm) and/or very fine (less than 300, less than 200, less than 100 dtex) and/or low strain (less than 300%, less than 200%, less than 100%) elastics to deliver low pressure less than 1 psi (according to the conditions defined by the Pressure-Under-Strand method below) under the elastics, while providing adequate modulus of (between about 2 gf/mm and 15 gf/mm) to make the article easy to apply and to comfortably maintain the article in place on the wearer, even with a loaded core (holding at least 50 mls of liquid), to provide for the advantages described above.
Absorbent article with leg cuffs
A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff folded edge and an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally inward to form the outer cuff folded edge and folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge. The leg gasketing system may also include a leg gasketing system pocket with an opening on an inboard longitudinal edge of the pocket.
Chassis design for absorbent article
A disposable absorbent article may include a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region disposed between the first and the second waist regions, and a chassis having a topsheet, backsheet, absorbent core, and chassis periphery. The chassis periphery has a varying width, W.sub.v.
REPLACEABLE ABSORBENT CHANNEL DIAPER FOR USE AS A MULTIPLIER WITH SINGLE-USE DISPOSABLE DIAPERS OR RE-USABLE RECYCLABLE OUTER SHELL
A multi-piece diapering system is based on a removable, disposable absorbent channel insert diaper having hydrophobic interior leg gathers and a water impermeable backer, but without waist tabs or bands or elastic to secure the channel to the user and optionally without leg cuffs. The absorbent channel insert may be used in a single-use disposable diaper to allow such disposable diaper to be re-used multiple times by replacing the channel insert diaper when soiled. The absorbent channel insert diaper may also be used with underwear as the supporting shell, or with other exterior diaper shells or base layer diapers.
Methods and Apparatuses for Making Elastomeric Laminates with Elastic Strands Unwound from Spools on Surface Unwinders
The present disclosure relates to methods for assembling elastomeric laminates, wherein elastic material may be stretched and joined with either or both first and second substrates. First spools are rotated to unwind first elastic strands from a first unwinder in a machine direction. The first elastic strands are positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate to form an elastomeric laminate. Before the first elastic strands are completely unwound from the rotating first spools, second spools are rotated to unwind second elastic strands from a second unwinder. Subsequently, the advancement of the first elastic strands from the first unwinder is discontinued. Thus, the elastomeric laminate assembly process may continue uninterrupted while switching from an initially utilized elastic material drawn from the first spools to a subsequently utilized elastic material drawn from the second spools.
Trunks-type disposable diaper
A trunks-type disposable diaper is configured to prevent shrinkage in the width direction of an inner thigh contact portion and to prevent the wearing feeling and occurrence of a gap. A crossing position of a front around-leg elastic member and a back around-leg elastic member positioned closest to an edge of a leg opening is positioned at the same position in a width direction as a side edge of the narrowest portion of a narrower portion of an absorber or on the center side in the width direction, and a crotch portion does not have elastic members other than the front around-leg elastic member and the back around-leg elastic member.
Pull-on absorbent article with pair of belt sections
In a pull-on absorbent article, pairs of joining sections that join an absorbent main body and a pair of belt sections to each other are provided, one pair being disposed on a front side and the other pair being disposed on a rear side in a front-rear direction, the absorbent main body including an absorbent body and being provided in a vertical direction, the pair of belt sections expanding and contracting in a lateral direction; a portion between the pair of joining sections on the rear side does not expand and contract in the lateral direction; an expanding-contracting section is provided closer than the absorbent body to a non-skin side of a wearer; and, in at least the rear side, the expanding-contracting section is provided at a central portion of the absorbent main body in the lateral direction.
