Leg and flap elastic composite for an absorbent article and method of manufacturing same
A method of manufacturing a liner/composite web for use in an absorbent article includes joining a leg elastic member to a web moving in a machine direction and joining a flap elastic member to the web. The flap elastic member is spaced from the leg elastic member. The web is folded to form a leg and flap elastics composite including an outer side edge. The web is joined to a substrate to form the liner/composite web. The liner/composite web is joined to a web of material such that the outer side edge of the leg and flap elastics composite is coterminous with one of a pair of laterally opposing side edges of the web of material.
Stretchable member and disposable wearable article having stretchable member
A stretchable member has a second sheet layer with an exposed portion, first sheet layer, and elastic sheet interposed therebetween. The second and the first sheet layers are joined at multiple sheet joining portions arranged at intervals through joining holes penetrating the elastic sheet or via the elastic sheet, and vent holes each opened at least in a spread state by displacement of the edge of each joining hole away from the circumferential edge of each sheet joining portion in the stretchable direction ED. The colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of portions of the external surface of the first sheet layer observed through the vent holes are observable through the second sheet layer, and the color difference E between the colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of the external surface of the first sheet layer is 30 or more.
Disposable diaper
A disposable diaper includes: a first inflected unit formed in an absorber and extending along a product widthwise direction; a second inflected unit formed in the absorber, extending along the product widthwise direction, and positioned towards a rear waistline unit from the first inflected unit; and a crotch unit formed between the first inflected unit and the second inflected unit. The size of the crotch unit along the product longitudinal direction is 30 mm or more and 150 mm or less in the natural state of the disposable diaper.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING SPACERS
An absorbent article may comprise front and back belts, each of the belts may comprise multiple elastic strands and multiple spacers. The absorbent article may also comprise graphics overlapping the elastic strands and spacers. Graphic portions overlapping the spacers may be less distorted than the graphic portions overlapping the elastic strands, when the article is in a contracted or partially contracted state, such as on a wearer.
BELTED STRUCTURE WITH TACKIFIER-FREE ADHESIVE
Pull-on disposable absorbent articles comprising an elastomeric belt and comprising substantially tackifier-free adhesives.
Absorbent article with elasticized waist region
A disposable article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; and an elasticized waist gasketing element. The elasticized waist gasketing element has a lateral outboard edge and a longitudinal array of elastic members. The longitudinal array includes a primary waist elastic member disposed inboard of the waist edge by a minimum longitudinal distance A, a secondary waist elastic member disposed inboard of the primary waist elastic member by a minimum longitudinal distance B. The waist gasketing element comprises a Force Ratio of at least about 1.1.
Apparatus for manufacturing absorbent articles and method for manufacturing absorbent articles
An apparatus for manufacturing absorbent articles includes: a swinging mechanism that feeds an elastic member while swinging the elastic member along a cross direction crossing a conveyance direction of a sheet-shaped continuum constituting an absorbent article, and that disposes a part of the elastic member on the continuum; a guiding member that conveys the elastic member; a cutting mechanism that cuts the elastic member; a joining mechanism that conveys the elastic member and the continuum that are supplied from the guiding mechanism to be taken along an outer periphery of the joining mechanism; and a sheet supply mechanism that supplies a sheet member onto an end portion in the cross direction of the continuum. A tangential direction of a deviation point at which the continuum is spaced from the guiding mechanism and a tangential direction of an arrival point at which the continuum reaches the joining mechanism are coincident with each other.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ELASTICIZED REGION
A disposable absorbent article may include a topsheet, backsheet, absorbent core, and an elasticized region disposed in a leg gasketing system and/or a waist gasketing element. The elasticized region may include a first elastic member and a second elastic member. The first elastic member is joined to the article at both a first contraction starting point and a first contraction ending point, and the second elastic member is joined to the article at both a second contraction starting point and a second contraction ending point. The first contraction starting point is disposed on a first start axis and the second contraction starting point is disposed on a second start axis, wherein the second start axis is different than the first start axis.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ELASTICIZED REGION
A disposable absorbent article may include a topsheet, backsheet, absorbent core, and an elasticized region disposed in an elasticized component. The elasticized region includes a first elastic member, a second elastic member that is adjacent to the first elastic member, and an attachment zone. In the attachment zone, the first elastic member is joined to the elasticized component at both a first attachment interval and a second attachment interval, wherein the first and the second attachment intervals are separated by an unattached span. In the attachment zone, the second elastic member is continuously joined to the elasticized component.
