Disclosed is a disposable wearing article which can effectively prevent lateral leakage of body exudates by planarly fitting an outer flap positioned laterally outside of an absorbent core included in an absorbent panel on the body of a wearer with the outer flap pulled laterally outside of the article. In the article, the absorbent panel includes the absorbent core extending to front and rear waist regions centering on a crotch region and a pair of outer flaps extending laterally outside of the absorbent core. At least the front waist region of the front and rear waist regions includes a waist elastic area which is elastically contractible in the lateral direction and a pair of elastic strips which is elastically contractible, and the elastic strips each have an outer fixing end fixed on the body facing surface of the chassis.

An array of packages may comprise three or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette of an array of three or more absorbent articles may be from about 0.9 to about 1.1 or from about 0.5 to about 0.7.

Disclosed is an absorbent article including a water permeable topsheet, a water impermeable backsheet, an absorbent core, an outer cover layer, and a pair of outer cuffs for providing leg gasketing function, wherein the pair of outer cuffs includes a cuff sealing disposed in a longitudinally extending manner, the cuff sealing located transversely between the absorbent core and the longitudinal side edge of the backsheet.

An absorbent article having a longitudinal centerline, a front region, a crotch region, and a back region. The absorbent article has a main portion, a side portion, and a waist portion. The waist portion has a belt portion that has a front belt portion having elastomeric material and a back belt portion having elastomeric material. The front belt portion has a first elastic section and a second elastic section, each section having force zones. The back belt portion has a third elastic section and a fourth elastic section, each section having force zones. The force zones in the portions alternate between a high force zone and a low force zone in at least one belt portion.

In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. In another embodiment, a disposable absorbent article may have a Product Length-to-Waist Silhouette from 1.0 to about 0.3.

A disposable pant type undergarment includes a ventral member, a dorsal member and a crotch member that bridges the ventral member and the dorsal member. A crotch edge of the ventral member and the dorsal member each includes right and left edge lines, right and left tilted lines and a central line. The edge lines are approximately parallel in a waist-around direction. Nearer the central line, a distance between a waist opening of the undergarment and the tilted lines of the ventral member is shorter, and a distance between the waist opening and the tilted lines of the dorsal member is longer. Tilted portions of a leg-surrounding elastic body extend in a leaving direction from the crotch edge of the ventral member and extend into an area overlapped with the ventral member and the crotch member.

A disposable diaper for pets includes: a back-side waist area; a stomach-side waist area; a crotch area; both end sections in the diaper longitudinal direction; both end sections in a diaper longitude-intersecting direction; a tail insertion opening; an absorbent core; an area not having the absorbent core arranged therein; an attachment section provided in the stomach-side waist area; an attachment area that accepts the attachment section; an expandable/contractible elastic member for legs, arranged, in the extended state, in a prescribed area in the diaper longitudinal direction, between the absorbent core and an end section in the diaper longitude-intersecting direction; a leg gather formed by the contraction of the expandable/contractible elastic member for legs; and a standing-up section in which the end sections in the diaper longitudinal direction stand up as a result of the contraction of the expandable/contractible elastic member for legs.

Further, an Array Average Product-Hip-to-Side Silhouette may be from about 1.0 to about 1.7

A fastening member has inboard and outboard ends, a panel region, an end region, and a stiffening element. The panel region is disposed adjacent to the inboard end and has first and second layers. The first and second layers are joined in a face-to-face orientation. The end region is disposed adjacent to the outboard end and has a fastening element zone and an intermediate zone. The intermediate zone is disposed between the fastening element zone and the panel region adjacent an interface between the panel and end regions. The stiffening element is disposed in the end region and has a stiffness of greater than about 200 N/m. A portion of the stiffening element is disposed between the first layer and the second layer and is joined to the first layer and the second layer. The portion is disposed adjacent to the interface between the panel region and the end region.
