An absorbent article includes: an absorbent main, an abdominal-side band member having a central portion fixed to one end part in a vertical direction of the absorbent main body while covering the one end part from a non-skin side of the absorbent main body, and a back-side band member different from the abdominal-side band member. The back-side band member has a central portion fixed to an other end part in the vertical direction of the absorbent main body, while covering the other end part from the non-skin side of the absorbent main body. The back-side band member has a length in the vertical direction longer than the abdominal-side band member. Each of the abdominal-side and back-side band members has an elastic member. The abdominal-side band member and the absorbent main body overlap at an overlap portion, the overlap portion including at least a part where the elastic member is disconnected.

Absorbent article having elastic belt

Disclosed is a wearable article continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprising an elastic belt region, a crotch region, a waist opening and two leg openings; wherein the elastic belt region is a laminate comprising an inner sheet made of nonwoven fiber, and an outer sheet made of nonwoven fiber, and a plurality of elastic bodies configured to stretch the elastic belt region in the transverse direction, wherein the article has a Compression Work index of at least about 70 gfcm and a Stretch Circumference Force of less than about 6.5N according to the measurements herein.

Pant-type wearable article

A wearable article includes a front and back elastic belts, a crotch region, a waist opening, and leg openings. Each elastic belt is a laminate having an inner sheet, an outer sheet, and an elastic member. Elastic adhesive bonding continuously bonds the elastic member for at least about 10 mm in the direction of stretch adjacent the side edges of the belts. A discrete patterned adhesive bonding is applied to at least one of the inner and outer sheets to intermittently bond the inner and outer sheets. The discrete patterned adhesive bonding extends substantially along the transverse direction between the elastic adhesive bonding, and substantially along the longitudinal direction between the distal and proximal edges of the elastic belts. The same adhesive agent provides the elastic adhesive and discrete patterned adhesive bonding. Heat bonds form side seams, and the remainder of the laminate is free of heat bonds.

Wearable article having elastic belt

The present disclosure relates to wearable articles having an elastic belt having arrays of elastic bodies.

Absorbent article and method for manufacturing pull-on absorbent article including leg-circumference extension sections

An absorbent article including an absorbent main body including an absorbent body. The absorbent main body having a longitudinal direction conforming to a vertical direction; and waist-circumference sections in a pair respectively located on one end side and another end side in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent main body. The waist-circumference sections each including an elastic memberstretchable in a lateral direction. The absorbent main body including a pair of extension sections respectively extending outward on two sides of the absorbent body. The extension sections each having an elastic member stretchable in the vertical direction. The extension sections are formed extending laterally outward from a position on a non-skin side of the absorbent body using a continuous sheet that is continuous in the lateral direction. A welded region having a predetermined length in the lateral direction is in a portion where each of the extension sections forms a leg opening.

Wearable article having elastic belt

A wearable article wherein least some of the elastic bodies may be arranged in at least 2 sets of a concentrated array defined as meeting: a) one concentrated array is formed by 2-4 elastic bodies; b) each elastic body within one concentrated array is disposed in an inner-interval between each elastic body of 2-4 mm; and c) one specific concentrated array disposed in an extra-interval between at least one neighboring elastic body outside the specific concentrated array of less than 8 mm. The entirety of the length of the belt side edge of the front belt may be seamed with a certain length of the belt side edge of the back belt to define a seam length LS. The front and back belts may each divided into 4 zones wherein at least 2 concentrated arrays are disposed on the front proximal tummy zone or the back distal tummy zone.

Methods and apparatuses for making elastomeric laminates with elastic strands provided with a spin finish

The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. The methods and apparatuses may be configured with a plurality of elastic strands wound onto a beam, wherein one or more elastic strands comprises a spin finish. During assembly of an elastomeric laminate, the beam is rotated to unwind the elastic strands from the beam. A portion of the spin finish may be removed from the advancing elastic strand with a spin finish removal apparatus. The spin finish removal apparatus may be configured to apply detergent to an advancing elastic strand and may also wipe and/or dry the advancing elastic strand. The treated stretched elastic strand may then be connected between a first substrate and a second substrate. In some configurations, adhesive may be applied to the treated the elastic strand, the first substrate, and/or the second substrate.
