Stretchable member and disposable wearable article having stretchable member
A stretchable member has a second sheet layer with an exposed portion, first sheet layer, and elastic sheet interposed therebetween. The second and the first sheet layers are joined at multiple sheet joining portions arranged at intervals through joining holes penetrating the elastic sheet or via the elastic sheet, and vent holes each opened at least in a spread state by displacement of the edge of each joining hole away from the circumferential edge of each sheet joining portion in the stretchable direction ED. The colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of portions of the external surface of the first sheet layer observed through the vent holes are observable through the second sheet layer, and the color difference E between the colors of the external surface of the elastic sheet and of the external surface of the first sheet layer is 30 or more.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING A CARDED CALENDERED NONWOVEN
An absorbent article such as a diaper comprising as component a carded calendered nonwoven comprising synthetic staple fibers, wherein the synthetic staple fibers comprise a polypropylene polymer matrix, an ethylene-propylene copolymer and a fatty acid amide, and optionally natural fibers. The nonwovens may be used in application where a soft and affordable nonwoven is desired, for example in the topsheet or backsheet outer cover nonwoven.
CARDED CALENDERED NONWOVENS
A carded calendered nonwoven comprising synthetic staple fibers. The synthetic staple fibers comprise a polypropylene polymer matrix, an ethylene-propylene copolymer and a fatty acid amide. The nonwovens of the present disclosure may be used in application where a soft and affordable nonwoven is desired, for example disposable absorbent articles, such as pants or diapers.
Absorbent article comprising an adhesive composition
Described herein is an absorbent article. The absorbent article includes an assembly of components and an adhesive composition joining at least two of the assembly of components together. The adhesive composition includes from about 50 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of one or more copolymers and a blend of one or more heterophase copolymers. The one or more copolymers include from about 30 mole % to about 70 mole % of monomer units selected from ethylene. 1-butene, and mixtures thereof. The one or more copolymers also include from about 30 mole % to about 70 mole % of propene monomer units. The adhesive composition is free of polyisobutylene and has a viscosity of from about 2,000 mPa.Math.s to about 11,500 mPa.Math.s at 150 C.
DIAPER STRUCTURE WITH ENHANCED TACTILE SOFTNESS ATTRIBUTES
A diaper structure with enhanced softness attributes is disclosed. The diaper structure may include an innermost layer formed of a first nonwoven web, and an outermost layer formed of a second nonwoven web. The first and second nonwoven webs may have a combined basis weight of at least about 30 gsm. The ratio of the first web basis weight to the second web basis weight may range from 30/70 to 70/30.
Absorbent Articles Having Fully Removable Fastening Members
An absorbent article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet is presented. The absorbent article includes a first waist region having a first waist edge, a second waist region having a second waist edge, a crotch region extending between the first waist region and the second waist region, and one or more lines of perforations disposed in the first waist region and configured to form an umbilical cord notch when the one or more lines of perforations are torn. The absorbent article further includes a fully removable fastening member configured to join a portion of the first waist region to a portion of the second waist region.
Fastening system for absorbent articles
The present invention is a disposable absorbent undergarment, such as an adult brief or baby diaper, having an exterior surface designed to provide improved attachment for one or more fastener members, thereby resulting in improved closure and securement of the undergarment to a wearer.
Absorbent articles having fully removable fastening members
An absorbent article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a fully removable fastening member configured to join a portion of the first waist region to the second waist region. The fastening member includes a first end region comprising a first end, a second end region comprising a second end, a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and in the first end region, and a second fastener on the first surface and in the second end region. The fastening member includes a grasp region either partially laterally outboard of the first fastener or laterally outboard of the first fastener in the first end region. The grasp region has a different physical property than a remainder of the fastening member.
NONWOVEN SUBSTRATES HAVING NATURAL FIBERS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Nonwoven substrates having natural fibers and methods of making the same are provided. The nonwoven substrates have a first outer surface formed from a first material layer having a plurality of elevated regions and a non-elevated interconnecting region disposed between the plurality of elevated regions. The nonwoven substrates also have a second outer surface opposite the first outer surface and formed from a second material layer and a third material layer including natural fibers. The third material layer is disposed between the first outer surface and the second outer surface in regions longitudinally adjacent the non-elevated interconnecting region. A portion of the third material layer penetrates a portion of the plurality of elevated regions where a portion of the natural fibers of the third material layer are singularized and intertwined with the cellulosic fibers of the first material layer.
Nonwoven fabric, use of same, and method for producing nonwoven fabric
The present invention provides: a nonwoven fabric which gives a sufficiently soft touch when touched by a human hand, while being suppressed in slipperiness between nonwoven fabrics during the production process of a product such as a sanitary material; and a method for producing a nonwoven fabric. One embodiment of the present invention provides a nonwoven fabric which is formed of fibers containing a thermoplastic resin, wherein: the average single fiber fineness of the fibers is 0.7 dtex to 4.0 dtex; the fibers contain 0.01% by mass to 1.5% by mass of a fatty acid amide relative to the total mass of the fibers; and the coverage of the surfaces of the fibers by the fatty acid amide is from 20% to 90%.
