Nonwoven fabrics and absorbent articles having shaped, soft and textured nonwoven fabrics
Shaped, soft, and textured nonwoven fabrics are provided. Absorbent articles that comprise shaped, soft and textured nonwoven fabrics are provided. The nonwoven fabrics may be a topsheet and an outer cover nonwoven material of the absorbent article. A portion of a wearer-facing surface of the topsheet may have a TS7 in the range of about 1 dB V.sup.2 rms of about 1 to about 4.5 dB V.sup.2 rms and a TS750 in the range of about 6 dB V.sup.2 rms to about 30 dB V.sup.2 rms. A portion of a garment-facing surface of the outer cover nonwoven material may have a TS7 in the range of about 1 dB V.sup.2 rms of about 1 to about 4.5 dB V.sup.2 rms and a TS750 in the range of about 6 dB V.sup.2 rms to about 30 dB V.sup.2 rms. The nonwoven fabrics of the present disclosure provide soft materials with texture.
NONWOVEN THERMAL BONDING PATTERN WITH LOW FUZZ
A nonwoven comprising a pattern of thermal bonds with anti-fuzz properties according to at least three and preferably all four of the following conditions: a) the pattern comprises thermal bonds disposed in parallel rows having a pitch angle (P) of from 0.5 to 15 relative to the machine direction or the cross-machine direction; and/or b) the bonding area of all the thermal bonds ranges from 17% to 30% of the area of the nonwoven, and/or c) the pattern comprises larger bonds and smaller bonds having different individual area, and/or d) the pattern comprises elongated bonds having different major directions.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT CORE STRUCTURE HAVING A SHAPED INNER CORE LAYER
A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure disposed therebetween. The absorbent core structure includes an upper nonwoven layer comprising polymer fibers, a lower nonwoven layer comprising polymer fibers, and an inner core layer comprising cellulosic fibers and superabsorbent particles disposed therebetween. The inner core layer is profiled in the longitudinal and lateral directions and is defined by a central absorbent zone and an outer absorbent zone substantially surrounding the central absorbent zone. The central absorbent zone comprises a pair of inwardly concave longitudinal side edges, an outwardly convex front edge, and an outwardly convex rear edge. The basis weight of the central absorbent zone is greater than the basis weight of the outer absorbent zone. The absorbent article has an average density in the outer absorbent zone that is within about 0 to about 20% of the average density in the central absorbent zone.
Three dimensional nonwoven and absorbent articles having the same
The present disclosure relates to a three dimensional nonwoven comprising a protruded area comprising a first area having a first light reflectance and a second area having a second light reflectance. The three dimensional nonwoven comprises a recess comprising a third area having a third light reflectance, wherein the first light reflectance is different from the second light reflectance, as measured according to Light Reflectance Test. The present disclosure also related to an absorbent article comprising the three dimensional nonwoven.
Absorbent Article Having A High Content Of Bio-Based Materials
Bio-based absorbent articles are provided. Bio-based absorbent articles include a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core sandwiched there between. The topsheet and backsheet are attached to each other along opposing surfaces to define a cavity in which the absorbent core is enclosed. The components of absorbent article are selected so that at least 75% of the material comprising the absorbent article comprises a bio-based material, and preferably at least 80%, 85%, 90%, and 95% of the material comprising the absorbent article comprises a bio-based material.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES
The present invention is a disposable absorbent undergarment, such as an adult brief or baby diaper, having an exterior surface designed to provide improved attachment for one or more fastener members, thereby resulting in improved closure and securement of the undergarment to a wearer.
Shaped nonwovens that exhibit high visual resolution
A nonwoven fabric is disclosed. The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and at least a first visually discernible zone of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, and the first visually discernible zone can exhibit a high visual resolution.
LIQUID BARRIER AND AIR-PERMEABLE BACKSHEET
Backsheets having a combination of desirable liquid barrier properties and air permeability are provided. The backsheets include outermost spunbond layers and two or more fine-fiber containing nonwoven layers.
Highly extensible nonwoven webs and absorbent articles having such webs
A highly extensible nonwoven web is provided. The highly extensible nonwoven web may include continuous multi-component fibers. The continuous multi-component fibers may include polypropylene, wherein the polypropylene has a crystallinity of less than about 41%. The polypropylene may have a melting temperature of less than about 161 C. The highly extensible nonwoven web may define a plurality of apertures. The apertures may be patterned. The highly extensible nonwoven web may form a portion of an absorbent article.
