Diaper structure with enhanced tactile softness attributes
A diaper structure with enhanced softness attributes is disclosed. The diaper structure may include an innermost layer formed of a first nonwoven web, and an outermost layer formed of a second nonwoven web. The first and second nonwoven webs may have a combined basis weight of at least about 30 gsm. The ratio of the first web basis weight to the second web basis weight may range from 30/70 to 70/30.
Soft and Durable Nonwoven Web
A nonwoven web that contains a plurality of fibers formed from a polyolefm composition is provided. The polyolefin composition contains a rigid propylene polymer that has a relatively high melting temperature and modulus of elasticity, which can provide good strength and durability to the nonwoven web. The polyolefm composition also contains a ductile propylene polymer that has a relatively high melt flow index, which can help achieve relatively fine fibers that minimize the stiffness of the web. In addition to a rigid and ductile polymer, the polyolefin composition also contains a slip additive (e.g., fatty acid derivative). Among other things, such an additive can even further enhance the overall softness of the composition.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING WAIST GASKETING ELEMENT
An absorbent article for wearing about the lower torso of a wearer includes a first waist region having a first waist edge, a second waist region having a second waist edge, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The article further includes a first longitudinal edge, a second longitudinal edge, and a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. A waist gasketing element is joined to the chassis and disposed in one of the first waist region or the second waist region. The waist gasketing element has a top layer and a bottom layer, an inboard lateral edge and an outboard lateral edge, and first area, A1. The top layer is bonded to the bottom layer in a closure bond region by a closure bonding technique. The closure bond region has an aggregate closure bond area, BA, which is at least about 10% of the first area, A1.
Apertured outer cover for absorbent articles
An outer cover for an absorbent article includes a nonwoven component having a plurality of apertures formed therein and a film bonded to the apertured nonwoven component. The apertures in the nonwoven component are formed by needling prior to the film being bonded to the nonwoven component. A method of making the outer cover includes feeding a web of nonwoven material to a needling station, needling the web of nonwoven material to form a plurality of apertures therein to define an apertured web of nonwoven material, and bonding the apertured web of nonwoven material to a film.
LIQUID-ABSORBING BREATHABLE BLOOD-RESISTANT NO-LEAKAGE SANITARY PAD
The invention relates to a liquid-absorbing breathable blood-resistant no-leakage sanitary pad, which consists of a skin-friendly dry layer, a breathable liquid-storage core layer, an SMS blood-resistant water-repellent non-woven fabric layer, and a bottom layer in an overlapped manner; the skin-friendly dry layer is located in the absorption surface of the breathable liquid-storage core layer, the SMS blood-resistant water-repellent non-woven fabric layer is located in the back of the breathable liquid-storage core layer, and the bottom layer is located in the breathable surface of the SMS blood-resistant water-repellent non-woven fabric layer. The SMS blood-resistant water-repellent non-woven fabric is designed in the back of the breathable liquid-storage core layer, which achieves the object of preventing water, effectively prevents the leakage of menstrual blood, so as to greatly reduce the thickness of a sanitary pad product under the premise of achieving the object of coexistence of water resistance, blood resistance, and breathability.
SHEET MEMBER EXHIBITING UNEVENNESS, ABSORBENT ARTICLE EQUIPPED WITH SAME AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREFOR
An absorbent article that improves an outward appearance of an absorbent article by a simple method. A sheet member includes a liquid impervious resin film, and a nonwoven fabric attached to one surface thereof, in which a bonded portion in which the liquid impervious resin film and the nonwoven fabric are bonded through a micro-fibrous cellulose assembly and a non-bonded portion continuously or intermittently provided between bonded portions are alternately repeatedly provided, and unevenness is formed on the nonwoven fabric by the nonwoven fabric expanding in the non-bonded portion and the nonwoven fabric not expanding in the bonded portion.
Absorbent articles having fully removable fastening members
An absorbent article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a fully removable fastening member configured to join a portion of the first waist region to the second waist region. The fastening member includes a first end region comprising a first end, a second end region comprising a second end, a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and in the first end region, and a second fastener on the first surface and in the second end region. The fastening member includes a grasp region either partially laterally outboard of the first fastener or laterally outboard of the first fastener in the first end region. The grasp region has a different physical property than a remainder of the fastening member.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH HYBRID NONWOVEN WEB
An absorbent article comprises a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a nonwoven web. The nonwoven web having a first side and a second side. The nonwoven web comprises thermoplastic fibers and cellulosic fibers. At least a portion of the thermoplastic fibers are present on the first side and at least a portion of the cellulosic fibers are present on the second side. The nonwoven web has a pattern of discrete bond points, wherein the pattern of discrete bond points has a fiber free-length parameter, as defined by the Fiber Free-Length Test, with a value of less than 2.90 mm The second side of the nonwoven web forms part of an exterior surface of the absorbent article.
Patterned Apertured Nonwoven
The present disclosure relates to a nonwoven substrate comprising a plurality of apertures that form a pattern and define a plurality of discrete non-aperture zones. Each of the plurality of discrete non-aperture zones has a periphery formed by a continuous line of apertures, with adjacent apertures being spaced apart by an edge-to-edge distance of no more than 3 mm, while each of the plurality of discrete non-aperture zones is substantially free of apertures within the periphery. Particularly, the area ratio of such plurality of discrete non-aperture zones over the nonwoven substrate ranges from 60% to 90%, and at least some of said plurality of discrete non-aperture zones have an area of 100 mm.sup.2 or more.
