Absorbent article
An absorbent article, such as a sanitary napkin, a pantiliner or an incontinence pad, which improves diffusion property of a body fluid and maintains a stable absorption amount. In FIG. 3, a sanitary napkin (1) includes an absorber (4) including an upper layer sheet (10) disposed at a skin side, a lower layer sheet (11) disposed at a non-skin side, and a highly water-absorbing polymer (12) disposed between the upper layer sheet (10) and the lower layer sheet (11). The upper layer sheet (10) is provided with a plurality of protruding portions (14) bulging out to the skin side and forming space portions (13) to be filled with the highly water-absorbing polymer (12), and a joined portion (15) in which the upper layer sheet (10) and the lower layer sheet (11) are joined to each other intermittently on the peripheral edges of the protruding portions (14) along the circumferential directions.
Absorbent article
A diaper (10) includes an absorbent assembly (20) including a topsheet (21), a backsheet (22), and an absorbent core (24), and has an article longitudinal direction (X) and an article lateral direction (Y). The absorbent core (24) is formed of a sheet-like article (1) including a plurality of absorbent units (4), each including a long base portion (2) and water-absorbent polymer particles (3). The sheet-like article (1) includes a plurality of unit portions arranged in the longitudinal direction (x1 direction), each unit portion including a plurality of the absorbent units (4) arranged side by side in the lateral direction (y1 direction). The sheet-like article (1) includes a pair of longitudinal joined regions (41, 41), a pair of lateral joined regions (42, 42), and intermediate lateral joined regions (43, 43). The sheet-like article (1) is joined to a constituent member adjacent thereto in the thickness direction (Z) at the pair of longitudinal joined regions (41, 41), the pair of lateral joined regions (42, 42), and the intermediate lateral joined regions (43, 43). Each unit portion includes a section in which neither the upper side nor the lower side thereof in the thickness direction (Z) is joined to the constituent member.
Absorbent article with leg cuffs
A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff folded edge and an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally inward to form the outer cuff folded edge and folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge. The leg gasketing system may also include a leg gasketing system pocket with an opening on an inboard longitudinal edge of the pocket.
Absorbent structure for absorbent articles
Absorbent structures for absorbent articles are provided, comprising an absorbent layer with absorbent material containing superabsorbent polymer particles supported by a supporting sheet, and having first and a second substantially longitudinal channel that are free of said superabsorbent polymeric particles, and that comprises one or more adhesive material to immobilize said absorbent material. The channels can provide improved fit and/or liquid acquisition/transportation, and/or improved performance.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH LEG GASKETING CUFF
A disposable pant may include a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a leg gasketing system. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff. The inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff folded edge and an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded laterally inward to form the outer cuff folded edge and folded laterally outward to form the inner cuff folded edge.
Absorbent article having improved absorption properties
An absorbent article such as disposable diaper, training pant, and adult incontinence undergarment comprising superabsorbent polymer particles able to absorb and contain body exudates having improved absorption properties and, therefore, reduce leakage, especially at the first gush, i.e. when the article starts to be wetted.
COMPSTATIN ANALOGS FOR TREATMENT OF NEUROPATHIC PAIN
In some aspects, the present invention provides methods of treating a subject in need of treatment for neuropathic pain, the method comprising administering a compstatin analog to the subject. In some embodiments, the compstatin analog is administered parenterally, e.g., intravenously.
ABSORBENT BODY AND ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention provides an absorbent body comprising: a base material and a water absorbent resin powder fixed on the base material by a fixing agent, wherein the base material is a fiber base material having a mass per unit area in a range from 10 g/m.sup.2 to 500 g/m.sup.2, and the fixing agent is a copolymer having an acid value in a range from 20 mgKOH/g to 150 mgKOH/g and including a structural unit (X) derived from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of an olefin and a vinyl aromatic compound and a structural unit (Y) derived from a monomer having an acidic group. The absorbent body has excellent water absorbent resin powder supporting property.
Method of Making an Absorbent Composite and Absorbent Articles Employing the Same
A method of making an absorbent composite that includes a first fabric, a second fabric, and particles positioned between the two fabrics and absorbent articles made from the absorbent composite. The particles are secured between the two fabric using adhesive, thermal plastic or combinations thereof. The fabrics are bonded together in a manner that limits particle movement between the fabrics. The bond pattern may define pockets or other shapes. In applications in which the bond pattern forms pockets, the particles may be positioned in the pockets. The particles may be SAP particles or other particles with advantageous properties.
Absorbent article with leg gasketing cuff
A disposable absorbent article may include a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a leg gasketing system.
