Hair cosmetic
The present invention relates to a hair cosmetic containing the following components (A) to (C): (A) a compound represented by the following general formula (1) or a salt thereof: ##STR00001## wherein a broken line represents the presence or absence of a π bond; R.sup.1 represents a hydroxy group or an acetoxy group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or —COOR (R is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, or an ethyl group); and R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group, a methyl group, or an ethyl group; (B) a dimethylsilicone; and (C) an amino-modified silicone, the hair cosmetic satisfying such conditions that a mass ratio of the component (C) to the component (B) [(C)/(B)] is 0.3 or more and 3.0 or less; and a mass ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) and component (C) {(A)/[(B)+(C)]} is 1.0 or less.
HAIR CONDITIONING COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVED DEPOSITION
A conditioning composition provides superior deposition of benefit agent to hair, said composition comprising: (i) 0.01 to 10 wt % of a linear cationic conditioning primary surfactant; selected from structure 1 and mixtures thereof: Structure 1 (ii) 0.1 to 10 wt % of a linear fatty material; (iii) a particulate benefit Structure 1 (iv) 0.01 to 5 wt %, of a linear cationic co-surfactant, selected from structure 2 and Structure 2 mixtures thereof Structure 2.

COMPOSITION FOR TOPICAL DERMATOLOGICAL DELIVERY
A composition for topical dermatological delivery of a medicinal or cosmeceutical or cosmetic active including a functional co-enhancer delivery system comprises a primary active agent in combination with an ancillary user adherence-improving skin barrier restoring system comprising nicotinamide and polyhydroxy acid. The composition generally comprises a water-miscible solvent and C.sub.12 or C.sub.14 fatty acids or C.sub.14 alcohol in combination with a hydrocarbyl methyl siloxane, other volatile silicones and a blend of silicone elastomers.
FUNCTIONAL SKIN COATING POLYMER
Film-forming polymers that contain covalently-attached or non-covalently bound light-filtering, e.g., UV-absorbing, compounds and their use as a skin-protectant coating, such as a sunscreen, are disclosed.

COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A cosmetic composition including the following components (A) to (C), (A) a silicone film-forming agent, (B) a high-molecular-weight organopolysiloxane, (C) an organopolysiloxane having a polyalkylene oxide moiety and a cationic group, other than the component (A) and the component (B). The cosmetic composition is a hair dye composition or a hair cosmetic composition.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A cosmetic composition including a solvent A, a solvent B, a polymer C and a colorant. The solvent A is at least one selected from the group consisting of ethanol, n-propanol and isopropanol. A boiling point of the solvent B is 150° C. or higher. The solvent B is compatible with the solvent A, and the polymer C is soluble in the solvent A and insoluble in the solvent B. A content of the solvent B is 5% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less, and a ratio by mass of a content of the solvent A to a content of the solvent B [solvent A/solvent B] in the cosmetic composition is 1 or more and 15 or less.
HAIR TREATMENT COMPOSITION
Hair treatment compositions and methods of using them to treat hair are described. The hair treatment compositions include: (a) citric acid, one or more salts of citric acid, or a combination thereof; or a combination of citric acid and one or more salts of citric acid, wherein the weight ratio of citric acid to salts of citric acid added to form the combination is from 1:10 to 10:1; (b) one or more surfactants; and (c) water; wherein the pH of the composition is from about 3 to about 10; and weight percentages are based on the total weight of the composition. The hair treatment compositions are particularly useful for strengthening hair fibers.
