Delivery of hydrophobic benefit agents from bodywashes and the like onto a keratinous substrate
This invention relates to a delivery system for hydrophobic benefit agents to keratinous substrates. The delivery system comprises amphiphilic block copolymers, and a hydrophobic benefit agent, which amphiphilic block copolymers comprise a siloxane segment and a cationic segment. The invention also relates to methods of delivering the hydrophobic benefit agents to the keratinous substrate. Furthermore, the delivery systems and methods of delivery are effective in retaining an hydrophobic benefit agents on the keratinous substrate after rinsing. More particularly, the delivery systems are especially suitable in personal cleansing, body wash or rinse off lotion compositions and comprise certain amphiphilic polymers which effectively deposit the hydrophobic benefit agents onto a keratinous substrate, such as skin or hair.

A coating, preferably a color coating, method for keratin fibers is described which includes three steps: activation, pretreatment and binding. The activation step includes one or both of a Praeparatur procedure and a Fundamenta procedure to produce modified fibers. The pretreatment step applies a pretreatment composition of at least a PTH alkoxysilane with PTH as a thiol, a protected thiol or a group complementarily reactive with thiol to the modified fibers to form pretreated fibers. The binding step applies a film forming composition to the pretreated fibers to form the color coating.

RESIN FOR HAIR COSMETICS, AND HAIR COSMETIC
To provide a resin for hair cosmetic which is free from stickiness and highly compatible in fixing properties and combing properties without impairing performances such as water resistance, colorability and washability, and to provide a hair cosmetic. The hair cosmetics resin is obtained by bonding a poly(N-acylalkyleneimine) segment (b) comprising a repeating unit represented by formula (1) to at least two silicon atoms of an organopolysiloxane segment (a) constituting a main chain via an alkylene group containing a hetero atom, wherein the alkylene group containing a hetero atom is either a group represented by formula (i) or (ii), the mass average molecular weight of the segment (a) is 10,000 to 100,000, the number average molecular weight of the segment (b) is less than 800, and the mass ratio of (a) to (b) [(a)/(b)] is 58/42 to 90/10. [In formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom, C1-22 alkyl group, aralkyl group, or aryl group, and n represents 2 or 3.]
