A method (200) for manufacturing a brush head (10) includes: (i) positioning (210) a first end (23) of each of a plurality of bristle tufts (21) into a tuft plate (110) comprising a plurality of cavities (120) each configured to receive at least one of the plurality of bristle tufts; (ii) applying (220) a force, via a profile plate (300), to a second end (25) of the plurality of bristle tufts, wherein the profile plate comprises a predetermined shape complementary to a desired profile configuration of the bristle tufts; and (iii) applying (230) heat to each of the first ends of the plurality of bristle tufts, via a die plate (400) comprising at least one cavity (410) configured to receive at least one of the plurality of the first ends, at a temperature sufficient to at least partially melt each of the first ends into the cavity.

BRUSH HEAD MANUFACTURING METHODS WITH PROTECTIVE COATINGS

A method for manufacturing a brush head includes the steps of providing a plurality of bristle tuft retention elements, and inserting at least one bristle tuft into each of the bristle tuft retention elements. The proximal end of each bristle tuft is secured into each bristle tuft retention element. The platen portion of the brush neck is positioned in relation to the proximal ends of the bristle tufts in the retaining elements to define a space in relation to the proximal ends of the bristle tufts. A flexible material is injected into the space to create a flexible material matrix that at least partially encompasses the neck and the proximal ends of the bristle tufts. At least a portion of an exterior of the flexible material matrix is coated with a protective coating.

Toothbrush with injection-moulded bristles and method and apparatus for producing the same

A toothbrush having a brush body and a bristle carrier that is produced from a hard material using an injection molding method and having injection-molded bristles that protrude from the bristle carrier. The injection molded bristles are produced from a bristle material using the injection molding method. The bristles have a bristle stem and the bristle carrier has a small carrier plate or is formed by the small carrier plate that is produced from a hard material using the injection molding method and fastened on the brush body. The hard material of the bristle carrier or the hard material of the small carrier plate is harder than the bristle material.

Method of making soft interdental brushes, which relates to the field of daily necessities and solves the problems of unsightly fracture points and causing skin scratches at the fracture points with the current producing process. The method includes forming a receptacle frame with technical points as follows: a receptacle plate for organizing the brushes and receiving columns for fixing the brushes, the receptacle plate and the receptacle columns are fixedly attached; The method also adopts an interference fit approach to collect the brushes through the receptacle frame, meanwhile, the material after the injection will be cut off once the brushes are received by the receptacle frame. Compared with the traditional technology, the utility model makes the soft interdental brush more convenient to pick off, furthermore, there will be no residual connecting strips on the brush, so that the brush will not cut the skin while be more artistic.
