Amino acid compositions and uses thereof
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for promoting stem cell and/or progenitor cell proliferation and/or differentiation. The provided compositions may be useful in treating a disease or condition that is related to mucosal barrier function, e.g., wound healing, treating skin conditions (e.g., atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, bed sores, or condition related to the aging of skin), treating a lung disorders (e.g., asthma), a condition related to improving mucosal barrier function, and/or treating injury to GI mucosa in a subject in need thereof. The present disclosure also provides methods for promoting the proliferation and/or differentiation of stem cells and/or the progenitor cells in a subject in need of such treatment by administering a composition. The ability to stimulate the proliferation and/or differentiation of stem cells and/or the progenitor cells in vivo, ex vivo and/or in vitro provides tremendous benefit. The present disclosure can be used to increase stem cell populations in in vivo, ex vivo and/or in vitro. Stem cell transplantation provides treatments and/or cures of many disease states, degeneration and/or injury.
MIC therapy for specific immunosuppression in transplantation
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions with isolated and treated whole blood cells or Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) as well as such pharmaceutical compositions for use in the prevention and/or treatment of organ or cell graft rejection in a human graft recipient.

Methods for treating disorders or diseases associated with hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia while minimizing side-effects
The present invention provides methods and compositions for treating hyperlipidemia and/or hypercholesterolemia comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an MTP inhibitor to inhibit hyperlipidemia and/or hypercholesterolemia in said subject, wherein said administration comprises an escalating series of doses of the MTP inhibitor. In some embodiments the method comprises administering at least three step-wise, increasing dosages of the MTP inhibitor to the subject. In some embodiments, the method further comprises the administration of one or more other lipid modifying compounds.

TRIMEGESTONE (TMG) FOR TREATMENT OF PRETERM BIRTH
As disclosed herein, novel compositions including steroid hormones, such as trimegestone (TMG) and progesterone (P4), provide treatments for term and preterm labor with significant effects on the delay of delivery. Delay and block of delivery occurs when both P4 and TMG are administered late in gestation in pregnant rat and guinea pig animal models. TMG exhibits remarkable drug efficacy, achieving the same inhibition as P4, but at much lower doses. These hereto unknown effects of TMG on the processes of cervical ripening and uterine contraction provide a novel approach for extending pregnancy term, including reducing a likelihood of preterm and/or term labor, along with improved methods of administration. Other diseases and/or conditions may be treated with TMG, such as dysmenorrhea or luteal insufficiency for sustaining pregnancy.

DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM COMPRISING A NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY (NSAID) AND A PROGESTOGENIC COMPOUND AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING
The invention is describing an intrauterine delivery system comprising non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) and a progestogenic compound, containing anti-inflammatory active compound in the frame material and that the progestogenic compound is contained in a silicon based reservoir attached to the frame, wherein the frame consist of a thermoplastic material. A further object of the invention is to fabricate drug-containing T-intrauterine systems (I US) with the drug incorporated within the entire backbone of the medical device by using 3D printing technique, based on fused deposition modelling (FDM™). Indomethacin was used to prepare drug-loaded poly-caprolactone (PCL)-based filaments with different drug contents 5-40 wt %, namely 5%, 15% and 30% wt %: of Indomethacin.
