Vitamins and Alpha Keto Acid Compositions for Use in a Treatment Program for Chronic Kidney Disease Patients

A low nitrogen protein food composition Albutrix™ for use by kidney patients in Stages 3, 4, 4a, 4b, and 5, who are not on dialysis, in a treatment program comprising administering daily a: low nitrogen diet; low nitrogen protein food comprising magnesium and/or calcium salts of alpha keto acids; and time released vitamin. The vitamin comprises the active ingredients of: Zinc; Selenium; Vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, B5, E, and K2; Niacin; superoxide dismutase; catalase; glutathione and Folate; and excludes calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, manganese, fluoride, Vitamin D and K1. The low nitrogen food contains daily up to 300 mg of nitrogen; and at least five alpha keto analogues of magnesium and/or calcium salts of: leucine, isoleucine, methionine (MEMS-II), phenylalanine (PAMS-I), and valine. The treatment results in an increase of Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR), a decrease in blood urea levels, and a decrease in creatinine levels.

Methods of normalizing amino acid metabolism

Methods of normalizing amino acid metabolism in subjects on restricted protein diets and supplemental amino acids, using specially formulated amino acids that mimic the absorption and metabolism of naturally occurring proteins, are described.

DOSAGE FORM FOR USE IN TREATING OR PREVENTING OF A DISEASE

A dosage form contains a biologically active ingredient for treating or preventing a disease in the animal or human body, where the treatment or prevention requires release of 50% or more of the biologically active ingredient in the small intestine within the pH range from 3 to 5.5. The dosage form contains: a) a core, containing the biologically active ingredient; b) an intermediate coating layer (ICL) onto or above the core, containing an alkaline agent; and c) an enteric coating layer (ECL) onto or above the intermediate coating layer, containing an enteric polymer. The relation of the alkaline agent to the enteric polymer is 5 to 95% when calculated by the formula:

[00001] quantity of alkaline agent in grams in the I C L × 100 ( quantity of alkaline agent in grams in the I C L + quantity of enteric polymer in grams in the E C L ) .

Process for encapsulating soluble biologics, therapeutics, and imaging agents

An “inverse” precipitation route to precipitate aqueous soluble species with copolymers as nanoparticles having a hydrophilic, polar core and a less polar shell is described.

THERAPEUTIC MATERIAL WITH LOW pH AND LOW TOXICITY ACTIVE AGAINST AT LEAST ONE PATHOGEN FOR ADDRESSING PATIENTS WITH RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES

Method and composition for treating or preventing a respiratory illness. The method includes administering at least one dose of a pharmaceutically acceptable fluid having a pH less than 3.0 into contact with at least one region of the respiratory tract present in a patient in need thereof. Respiratory illness that can be treated include COVID-19.

Compositions containing exosome carrying NF-κB inhibitors and methods of using thereof

The present invention is related to compositions containing extracellular vesicles (exosomes) and methods of using the same for increasing lifespan of fetus, viability of fetus, or viability of newborn, for treating inflammation in uterus and/or fetus, for delaying preterm birth, or for treating a condition related to inflammation in uterus and/or fetus, wherein the extracellular vesicles comprising a nuclear factor kappa beta (NF-κB) inhibitor and a photo-specific binding protein.
