BRUSH HEAD MANUFACTURING METHOD AND DEVICE
A method (500) for manufacturing a brush head (10). The method includes the steps of providing a plurality of bristle tuft retention elements (52), and inserting a bristle tuft (21) into each of the bristle tuft retention elements; using a heat reflection device (200) to evenly apply heat to at least partially melt the bristle tuft proximal end and, optionally, the retention element, create proximal end head portion (26) to retain the bristle tuft in the retention element.
BRUSH COMPRISING A MECHANICAL FIXING SYSTEM OF TUFTS OF FIBERS WITHOUT THE USE OF METAL ELEMENTS AND RELATED METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BRUSHES, BROOMS OR THE LIKE
The present invention relates to a brush comprising a system for mechanically fixing tufts of fibers that does not requires metal elements.
The present invention also refers to a method for the production of brushes by means of the fixing system.
According to the inventions, the brush (10) comprises a support body (1) comprising a plurality of holes (2) or cavities, and a plurality of tufts of fibers (3), each tuft being constituted by a plurality of fibers substantially U-folded in their central portion, in which said tufts of fibers (3) are fixed to said support body (1) through a mechanical fixing system of tufts of fibers (3) according to which, in each of said holes (2) is inserted the U-folded end of one of said tufts of fibers (3) and an insert (4), presenting a shape partially complementary to that of the hole (2), said insert (4) being coupled to the support body (1) by means of a forced coupling; wherein said fixing system is implemented by a punching machine (15) to which said insert (4) is fed in the form of a continuous chain (6) or a continuous profile (7) which separates said inserts (4) from each other when they are inserted into said holes (2); said insert (4), said support body (1) and said tufts of fibers (3) being made of equal or different materials but compatible with each other for being recycled together.
BRUSH HEAD MANUFACTURING METHOD
A brush head (10) and a method for manufacturing a welded tuft assembly (20) for a brush head (10). The method includes inserting a bristle tuft (21) into an opening (51) in a retention element (52). A proximal end of the bristle tuft (23) and a proximal side (53) of the retention element are laser welded to at least partially melt the bristle tuft and at least a portion of the proximal side of the retention element together to create a merged proximal end head portion (26) that holds the welded tuft assembly together.

A proximal end of the bristle tuft (23) and a proximal side (53) of the retention element are laser welded to at least partially melt the bristle tuft and at least a portion of the proximal side of the retention element together to create a merged proximal end head portion (26) that holds the welded tuft assembly together.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DENTAL BRUSHING PART, AND DENTAL BRUSHING PART
A method for manufacturing a brushing part, the brushing part being configured in a U-shape in order to be placed on the dentition of a jaw of a user, the brushing part forming a channel inside which is designed to receive all or a portion of said dentition, the brushing part comprising at least one tuft of brushing bristles projecting into the interior of said channel by a free end of the bristles of the at least one tuft, the method comprising the following steps: —forming the at least one tuft of bristles by assembling a plurality of bristles by an end opposite the free end, so as to form a base of the at least one tuft; —fusing the ends forming the base of the at least one tuft so as to form a fused area in one piece, such that an extension of the fused area in a direction that is transverse to an extension direction of the at least one tuft is greater at one extension of the base in the transverse direction prior to the fusing step; —placing the at least one tuft on a mold for overmolding the channel of the brushing part; —overmolding the channel and the at least one tuft.
Cleaning element carrier and toothbrush head comprising it
A cleaning element carrier for a toothbrush in a form of a disk has a back surface including a central depression covering at least 70% of the back surface and forming an edge at the border. The carrier's front surface includes at least one protrusion so that the front surface comprises two levels, wherein the area covered by the depression is larger than the area covered by the protrusion.
BRUSH HEAD ARRANGEMENTS
A brush head (100) and a method of making a tuft spike (20) and a brush head with a plurality of tuft spikes. The brush head includes a matrix (30) having a plurality of receptacles (32) formed therein. A plurality of tuft spikes are each formed of a plurality of bristle strands (22) arranged in a tuft (21) having a free end (25) and a proximal end (23) inserted in a spike body (24). Each tuft spike is disposed in one of the receptacles of the matrix. A brush head neck (40) has a distal platen (42) that is connected to and at least partially encompassed in the matrix.
STAMPED BRUSH HEADS AND BRUSH HEAD STAMPING MANUFACTURING METHODS
A brush head (10) and a method (200) for manufacturing a brush head. The method (200) includes stamping (220) a plurality of openings (62) into a strip or roll of backing material (60). A bristle tuft (21) is inserted into each of the openings in the backing material. A proximal end (23) of each bristle tuft is bonded to a proximal side (63) of the backing material to create a merged proximal end head portion (26). Excess portions of the backing material are removed to form a plurality of carrier elements (24) about the openings from the backing material. The carrier elements form a plurality of merged tuft assemblies (20). A platen (42) of a neck (40) is positioned in relation to the merged tuft assemblies. A matrix material (30) is injected around the platen and the merged tuft assemblies to at least partially encompass the platen and the carrier elements of the merged tuft assemblies.
