Windrow Merger Attachment
A windrower includes a header having a crop cutting and a crop conditioning mechanism for conditioning crop material severed from the field and for discharging the conditioned material in a rearwardly directed stream as the windrower moves across the field. The windrower has a crop merger attachment with a conveyor configured to receive crop material from the crop conditioning mechanism and direct the crop material to a side of the windrower to form a windrow on the ground to the side of the windrower when in an operation position or to direct the crop material to the ground beneath the windrower when in a nonoperational position.
Contoured auger pan
A harvester includes a cross conveying auger with a helical blade. An auger pan extends under and behind the auger and forms a trough portion below the auger. A lower rear quadrant of the auger pan is contoured includes one or more projections to provide resistance to radial movement of the ears of corn so that the ears and are moved longitudinally inward along the auger.
Airbag system for a harvester header
A header of a harvester includes a cutter bar assembly, a side deck, and an airbag. The side deck includes a conveyor and an arm assembly. The cutter bar assembly is configured to cut crops, and the conveyor is configured to transport the crops cut by the cutter bar assembly toward a center of the header. The arm assembly is coupled to the cutter bar assembly and to the at least one airbag. The arm assembly is configured to pivot to enable the cutter bar assembly to flex along a lateral axis of the header. The airbag is configured to apply a substantially constant force to the at least one arm assembly.
ADJUSTABLE AUGER HOOD FOR A HEADER OF AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER
A header for a combine harvester is provided. The header includes an auger for directing the movement of harvested grain toward a feederhouse of the combine harvester and an adjustable hood positioned above the auger and moveable between a lowered position, a raised position and an intermediate position between the lowered and raised positions. The adjustable hood includes a pivot mechanism and an actuator for moving the adjustable hood between the lowered, raised and intermediate positions.
CUTTING UNIT
A cutting unit includes a center section arranged on a base frame and at least two side portions adjoining the center section, a knife bar extending basically over the entire width of the cutting unit, and at least one conveyor arranged behind the knife bar, which conveyor transports crops cut by the knife bar laterally in the direction of the center section, which has at least one conveying system conveying transverse to the transport direction of the conveyor, wherein the conveying system includes at least two rotating conveyor belts, which are arranged at an inclination at an angle () to the longitudinal axis (LA) of the center section.
BELT CUTTING UNIT
A combine harvester includes a belt cutting unit comprising a center belt for conveying harvest to an intake roller and/or to an intake channel of a grain conveyor, and a transverse conveyor belt disposed each on the left-hand side and the right-hand side of the center belt, to convey harvest to the center belt. The center belt, left-hand and right-hand transverse conveyor belts are behind a cutter bar, seen in the direction of travel, with each being operated with an individual belt speed. The combine harvester and/or belt cutting unit has a control unit configured to automatically control the belt speeds of the left-hand and right-hand transverse conveyor belts as a function of a forward travel speed, and the belt speeds of the center belt as a function of the forward travel speed or as a function of the belt speeds of the left-hand and right-hand transverse conveyor belts.
Auger for transverse crop material movement
An agricultural harvester includes: a chassis; a cleaning system carried by the chassis; a crop material elevator supplied with crop material that has passed through the cleaning system; and an auger supplying the crop material from the cleaning system to the crop material elevator. The auger includes: an auger axle configured to rotate and defining an auger axis of rotation; a first flighting having a first helical direction and configured to be rotated by the auger axle; a second flighting having a second helical direction opposite to the first helical direction, the second flighting configured to be rotated so as to direct crop material conveyed by the first flighting back toward the first flighting; and a thrower connected to the first flighting and the second flighting and configured to convey crop material transversely relative to the auger axis of rotation.
Angled stripper for a cross auger on a crop harvesting header
The stripper is a flange member supported on the upright backboard of a crop harvesting header to span a gap between the backboard and a cross auger. The cross auger is supported above a draper on the header to assist in guiding the cut crop being conveyed by the draper to a central rear discharge of the header. The stripper flange member extends forwardly towards the cross auger at an upward inclination so as to be oriented at an angle of greater than 90 relative to a portion of the backboard of the header immediately below the stripper flange member. The stripper flange member is thus better oriented to guide cut crop which rises up the backboard to be deflected forwardly into the cross auger, instead of acting as a stop to accumulate cut crop thereon when the flange member is oriented perpendicularly to the backboard.
Belt sealing crop deflector for a flexible draper platform
The present invention relates to a belt guard assembly suitable for the harvesting platforms of the type that are carried on the front end of an agricultural combine. More specifically, belt guard assembly covers the void region at the front margin of the draper conveyor system and seals it against the entry of crop residue and foreign objects. The belt guard assembly is provided with a resilient seal strip that overlaps with the upper belt run, and with a rotary joint to permit flexibility between the cutterbar assembly and the draper conveyor.
Harvesting head upper belt conveyor compressing crop against a center belt conveyor
An agricultural harvesting head (100) has a frame (102) that extends laterally and is elongate; a left side conveyor (106); a right side conveyor (110); a center conveyor (108, 144); and an upper conveyor (118) of an endless belt type that is disposed to receive, engage and downwardly compress an upper surface of the cut crop material conveyed rearwardly by the center conveyor (108, 144).
