System and method for monitoring the amount of plant materials entering an agricultural harvester
In one aspect, an agricultural harvester may include a harvesting implement having a belt support assembly configured to support a conveyor belt of the harvesting implement as the conveyor belt moves relative to the belt support assembly. The system may also include a sensor provided in operative association the belt support assembly, with the sensor being configured to detect a parameter indicative of a force exerted on the belt support assembly as the conveyor belt moves relative to the belt support assembly. Furthermore, the system may include a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor, with the controller being configured to monitor the amount of the plant materials entering the harvester based on measurement signals received from the sensor.
Center knife drive for an agricultural harvester
A header for an agricultural harvester comprising a frame and an epicyclical drive operatively connected to the frame. The epicyclical drive includes a first rotatable wheel having a first central rotational axis and a first flange. The first flange includes a first eccentric axis rotatable about the first central rotational axis, and a first output shaft spaced from the first eccentric axis. The epicyclical drive further includes a second rotatable wheel having a second central rotational axis and a second flange. The second flange includes a second eccentric axis rotatable about the second central rotational axis, and a second output shaft spaced from the second eccentric axis. The header further includes a first cutter bar directly connected to the first output shaft and a second cutter bar directly connected to the second output shaft. Operation of the epicyclical drive results in substantially linear oscillating motion of the cutter bars.
Combine header with feed assist bulky crop auger on a draper platform
A harvesting assembly for harvesting a crop including a cutting knife configured to provide cut crop and a draper platform including a first side draper and a second side draper. A crop auger assembly includes a first auger disposed at the first side draper and a second auger disposed at the second side draper, wherein the first auger and the second auger each include a cylinder having a surface, a flight extending from the surface, and a plurality of fingers extending from the surface and beyond an exposed edge of the flight, wherein the crop auger rotates about an auger axis. A feed drum is disposed at a center draper wherein the feed drum includes a plurality of fingers.
Component and method for crop ramp and belt support
A crop ramp and belt support component for an agricultural harvesting head is provided. The crop ramp and belt support component includes a forward portion, a rear portion, and a belt support portion that are generally planar. The forward portion is inclined relative to the rear portion, and the rear portion extends from the forward portion. The belt support portion is substantially parallel to the rear portion and is configured to extend at least partially below an interior surface of a belt conveyor. The forward portion, the rear portion, and the belt support portion are fabricated as a unitary component.
Crop deflector for a harvesting head
Harvesting machines and agricultural harvesting heads for harvesting machines are disclosed herein. A harvesting machine includes a frame, an elongate reciprocating knife, a conveyor system, a drum conveyor, and a crop deflector. The elongate reciprocating knife is coupled to a forward edge of the frame and configured to cut crop material adjacent to the ground. The conveyor system is supported by the frame and configured to carry cut crop material toward a central portion of the frame and rearward therefrom. The drum conveyor is located directly behind at least a portion of the conveyor system, and the drum conveyor includes an elongate cylindrical drum supported for rotation on the frame about a drum axis and a plurality of elongate fingers that at least partially extend through an outer wall of the cylindrical drum.
HARVESTER ROLLER CONFIGURATION
A roller is connected to a harvesting platform for movement with a combine over a ground surface in a direction of travel. The roller includes a first portion defining a first diameter and including a first material, and a second portion defining a second diameter and including a second material. The second diameter is greater than the first diameter. The second portion substantially surrounds the first portion, the second material has different material properties than the first material. The roller extends in the direction of travel and rotates about a second axis which extends generally parallel to the direction of travel.
DRAPER
A draper is disclosed. The draper includes a frame with a center segment that has at least one endlessly circulating center belt and two side segments each having at least one laterally conveying, endlessly circulating side belt. The draper further includes a flexible cutter bar which is arranged on support arms pivotably articulated on the frame, with the side belts following movement of the flexible cutter bar. A respective side belt has, in the crop intake area adjacent to the cutter bar, a circumferential limiting rib which is overlapped by a belt seal extending substantially over the width of the side segment. The belt seal may be attached to the cutter bar using segmented retaining elements, with the retaining elements exerts a compressive force on the belt seal to press it against the limiting rib.
DRAPER SEAL FOR CROP HEADER
A draper seal for a crop harvesting header is provided. The header includes a forwardly disposed cutter bar assembly and a rearwardly disposed draper deck assembly. The draper seal includes a flexible strip that runs parallel to the cutter bar assembly and perpendicular to the direction of travel. A bracket secures the forward edge of the flexible strip to an upper surface of the cutter bar assembly, which bracket also biases a rearward edge of the flexible strip into engagement with an upper surface of the draper deck assembly, thereby creating a seal between the cutter bar assembly and the draper deck assembly.
Harvesting device
Harvesting device, having cutting members (14) for separating the crop material and/or having receiving members for collecting the crop material, having at least one transverse conveying device (19) for delivering the separated and/or collected crop material in a transverse conveying direction (20) running transversely to the harvesting direction, wherein the at least one transverse conveying device (19) is configured as a screw conveyor (21), comprising a trommel (22) and spiral conveying elements (23) sticking out from the trommel (22) in its radial direction. The respective screw conveyor (21) is conical or cone shaped, such that an envelope surface (24) of the spiral conveying elements (23) subtends a cone, which expands in conical or cone-shaped manner looking in the transverse conveying direction.
