A tray attachment assembly providing a horizontal surface for placement of items thereon. The assembly includes a tray that defines the horizontal surface and a connection mechanism for fixedly clamping the tray to an attachment surface. The tray includes a first planar section extending between a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge that defines the horizontal surface.
