The invention relates to a method for testing at least one function of a medical functional device which is inserted in and connected and compressed with a medical treatment apparatus, and/or a function of this treatment apparatus, wherein between a hydraulic device or a pneumatic unit of the treatment apparatus and the functional device at least one fluid communication is established. It further relates to a detection device which is programmed and/or configured for executing the method according to the invention as well as a medical treatment apparatus which comprises at least one detection device and/or is in signal transmission or is connected for signal transmission with it, a digital storage medium, a computer program product as well as a computer program.
Dialysis systems and related methods
A dialysis machine that includes a valve member having a deformable area configured to deform outwardly away when pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member. The valve member is configured so that, when a dialysis fluid cassette is disposed in a cassette compartment of the dialysis machine and pressurized fluid is introduced into the valve member, the deformable area obstructs a fluid channel of the dialysis fluid cassette to control dialysis fluid flow therethrough.
Blood treatment device comprising a functional unit for carrying out the blood treatment and method for monitoring the functionality and/or the operating state of the functional unit
The invention relates to a blood treatment device comprising an attachment unit 7 for attaching a functional unit 1 intended for single use for carrying out the blood treatment. The blood treatment device according to the invention is characterised by a monitoring unit 8 for monitoring the operability and/or the operating state of the functional unit 1, which functional unit comprises at least one light transmitter 17A, 18A and at least one light receiver 17B, 18B. The light transmitter and light receiver are arranged in the monitoring unit 8 according to the invention on one side of the functional unit 1. The arrangement of the light transmitter and light receiver on the same side has the advantage that the monitoring unit 8 can be integrated into the attachment unit 7 of the blood treatment device without any major structural modifications. The monitoring of the functional unit 1 is based on an optical measurement method in which the light reflected on a part of the functional unit 1 or a part of the attachment unit 7 is detected. A calculation- and evaluation unit 13 is configured such that conclusions can be drawn as to a defective state and/or a certain operating state of the functional unit 1 based on the intensity of the light falling on the functional unit and the light reflected on the functional unit or the attachment unit.
Medical Fluid-Conducting Cassette With Contact Protection
The present disclosure relates to a medical fluid-conducting cassette for a medical fluid treatment that includes a hard body defining channels for guiding fluids through the cassette; a first film section arranged to cover parts of the hard body against an exterior of the cassette; at least one connection point configured to connect at least one of the channels with an exterior of the cassette in a fluid communication; and at least one covering device attached to the hard body and arranged so as to cover the connection point in a releasable or removable manner. In some embodiments, the covering device is a second film section made from the same material as the first film section.
Extracorporeal circulation cassette
This extracorporeal circulation cassette is provided with: a blood circuit (10) comprising a flexible tube and having a blood tube access portion set in a predetermined position in a device; a dialysate circuit (12) comprising a flexible tube and having a dialysate tube access portion set in a predetermined position in the device; a first panel (4) and a second panel (6) that are rigid and that integrate the blood circuit (10) and the dialysate circuit (12) while sandwiching the blood circuit (10) and the dialysate circuit (12) from both sides; and a window portion formed in a part of at least one of the first panel (4) and the second panel (6), disposed in a predetermined position in the device. The blood tube access portion and the dialysate tube access portion are positioned in the window portion.
Dialysis machine
A disposable cartridge for use in a hemodialysis machine has a blood flow path for carrying a volume of blood to be treated in a dialyser and a dialysate flow path, isolated from the blood flow path, for delivering a flow of dialysate solution through the dialyser. The cartridge is received in an engine section of the machine. The engine section has first and second platens which close when the cartridge is inserted to retain the cartridge. Actuators and sensors arranged on the second platen control operation of the cartridge.
Method for controlling a blood treatment apparatus and apparatuses
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a blood treatment apparatus, with the conveying of blood using a blood pump, with the patient venous tubing clamp closed, until a predetermined volume of fluid has passed out of the blood tubing set through the membrane and into the dialysis fluid chamber. It also relates to a control and regulating apparatus and a treatment apparatus. It further relates to a computer program, a computer program product and a digital storage medium.
BIOLOGICAL COMPONENT TREATMENT CASSETTE AND BIOLOGICAL COMPONENT TREATMENT SYSTEM
A biological component treatment cassette (blood component collection cassette (28)) is configured to be attachable to a separation device (centrifugal separation device (14)), and a flow path (42) is formed in an interior portion thereof. The biological component treatment cassette includes a wall portion forming a part of the flow path (42, and is equipped with pump action members (first and second pump action members (58, 66)) formed of a soft material and which are pressed by pumps of the separation device. The pump action members include pump pressed portions (first pump pressed portions (58a), second pump pressed portions (66a)).
BIOLOGICAL COMPONENT TREATMENT CASSETTE AND BIOLOGICAL COMPONENT TREATMENT SYSTEM
A biological component treatment cassette (blood component collection cassette (28)) is configured to be attachable to a separation device (centrifugal separation device (14)) adapted to separate a biological component from a liquid containing at least one biological component, and a flow path (42) is formed in an interior portion thereof. The biological component treatment cassette includes a sheet-shaped cassette main body (40), and a first pump action tube (58), both ends of which are connected to the flow path (42) of the cassette main body (40), together with a portion thereof protruding from an outer peripheral edge portion of the cassette main body (40), and which is made from a soft material that is pressed by a pump (80) of a separation device.
