Pen-type injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose-cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a piston rod adapted to operate through the housing, a dose dial sleeve located between the housing and the piston rod, and a drive sleeve located between the dose dial sleeve and the piston rod. The dose dial sleeve may have a helical thread of first lead and the drive sleeve may have a helical groove of second lead. The first lead of the helical thread and the second lead of the helical groove may be the same.
Intraocular gas injector
A gas mixture apparatus includes a measurement control system, an activation system, a pressurized chamber with one or more gases, and a mixing chamber. A filter can be preattached to an outlet of the mixture apparatus, allowing excess gas to be discharged therethrough and then atmospheric air to be drawn into the mixture apparatus through the filter for creating a therapeutic gas mixture.
Dose clip assembly for syringe
An apparatus includes a first member and a second member. The first member is configured to receive a portion of a syringe barrel and includes a first stop surface. The second member includes a second stop surface. Each stop surface is configured to engage the portion of a plunger to thereby arrest longitudinal movement of the plunger relative to the syringe barrel. The second member is operable to move relative to the first member from a first position to a second position. The second member remains coupled with the first member while in both the first position and the second position. The second stop surface engages the portion of the plunger when the second member is in the first position. The second stop surface does not prevent the portion of the plunger from reaching the first stop surface when the second member is in the second position.
DRIVE MECHANISM FOR AN INJECTION DEVICE
The disclosure relates to an injection device for expelling of a number of preset or user-selectable doses of a medicament. The injection device includes an elongated housing extending along an axial direction and configured to accommodate a cartridge containing the medicament and having a bung sealing a proximal end of the cartridge, a windup expelling mechanism, and a dose setting mechanism. The dose setting mechanism includes a handle , a dose tracking member, and a limiter. The dose tracking member is rotatable relative to the housing within a range of positional states and operatively connectable to the handle for tracking a rotation thereof. The limiter is operationally engageable with the dose tracking member and a trigger of the windup expelling mechanism for blocking actuation of the trigger when the dose tracking member is in one of a number of predetermined sections of the range of positional states.
LOCKABLE SYRINGE FOR SAFELY DISPENSING A DRUG
A lockable syringe, which includes a syringe body having a longitudinal axis and including a distal end and a proximal end, and a locking mechanism, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to be attached to the proximal end of the syringe body. The locking mechanism includes: a plunger having at least one distal plate, and a rod with visual elements for marking an unlock position; and a locking ring which is free in its rotation about the longitudinal axis of the syringe body, the locking ring has at least two visual indicators on its outer surface, and the locking ring has elements for blocking the plunger stroke in a locked position.
Injector apparatus having a clutch to inhibit forward movement of the plunger
An injector apparatus includes a housing (10.sup.1, 10.sup.2) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.
Injection Device Having Variable Dosing
An injection device for injecting medicament in a patient comprises a housing configured to house a fluid reservoir that has one of a plurality of volumes of medicament. An injection conduit fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir defines a fluid pathway from the fluid reservoir to the patient. A firing mechanism is coupled to the fluid reservoir and is configured to expel the medicament from the fluid reservoir through the injection conduit. A volume setting mechanism is coupled to the firing mechanism and is configured to select the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament for the firing mechanism to expel. A dose setting mechanism is configured to select all or a fraction of the one of the plurality of volumes of medicament that is injected from the injection conduit when the firing mechanism is actuated.
Medical Injection Device Having a Biasing Component Engageable with a Plunger Rod
A medical injection device including a housing having a distal end and a proximal end, a brake tower having a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and a sidewall therebetween defining a longitudinal axis, and a cartridge received within the housing distally of the brake tower and holding a composition therein. The device further a piston rod coaxially positioned within the brake tower and capable of axial travel within the brake tower and the cartridge along the longitudinal axis. A biasing component is positioned between the proximal end portion of the cartridge and the distal end portion of the brake tower, where the biasing component surrounds a portion of the piston rod.
Medical Injection Device with a Retained Biasing Component
A medical injection device including a housing having a distal end and a proximal end, a brake tower having a proximal end portion, a distal end portion, and a sidewall therebetween defining a longitudinal axis, and a cartridge received within the housing distally of the brake tower and holding a composition therein. The device further includes a retaining ring positioned between the proximal end portion of the cartridge and the distal end portion of the brake tower, wherein the retaining ring may be secured to an interior surface of the distal end portion of the brake tower. A spring washer component may also be provided, wherein the spring washer component may be retained by the retaining ring so as to bias the cartridge in a distal direction to prevent any movement of the cartridge during injection.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device with a housing configured to connect to a dispensing unit including a compartment containing a fluid, a piston rod configured to move in a proximal direction for ejecting the fluid, and a dosing mechanism including an actuation member to be actuated by a user.
