Assembly for a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device
An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a dose member which is displaceable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug, a clutch member which is displaced in the proximal direction with respect to the housing when setting the dose, and a stop member configured to define a clutch stop position. The clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.
Port interface for drug delivery device
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a cartridge received within the housing, with the cartridge configured to receive a medicament, a drive assembly received within the housing and configured to engage the cartridge and dispense medicament from the cartridge, and a needle actuator assembly received within the housing, with the needle actuator assembly including a patient needle configured to pierce a patient's skin. A bottom surface of the housing defines a port interface configured to receive an implanted injection port.
Dose setting mechanism
An injection device comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis, an axially-depressible dose button (430), a dose indicator (418), a dose setting mechanism operatively coupled to said dose indicator and capable of setting a dose to be ejected from the injection device and spring capable of storing energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. The spring (420) is coupled to the dose setting mechanism such that a charging force can be transferred from the dose setting mechanism to the spring to increase the energy stored by the spring. The dose setting mechanism comprises an assembly of three components, including: •a ratchet ring (410) rotationally and axially locked with respect to said housing, the ratchet ring including a ratchet component; •a drive plate (405) including a first set of splines forming a ratchet arrangement with said ratchet component; and•a dose selector (416) capable of being rotated about said longitudinal axis with respect to said housing to set the dose and including splines for disengaging said ratchet arrangement. The ratchet component is capable of interacting with both the splines on the dose selector and the splines on the drive plate.
Dose setting mechanism
An injection device comprising a housing (12) and a dose selector (16) to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device. A spring (20) coupled to the dose selector stores energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. A ratchet (25) arrangement is provided to rotationally couple a ratchet component and an internal surface of the housing in a coupled state and to allow relative rotation between the ratchet component and the internal surface of the housing in an uncoupled state. An over-torque feature (27) located between the dose selector and the spring is actuatable, when the rotation of the dose selector causes the charging force to exceed a defined limit, to reduce the charging force transferred from the dose selector to the spring. Both the ratchet component and the over-torque feature are provided on a single component (28).
Drive arrangement with rotationally geared drive rod
A geared drive arrangement comprises a stationary portion and a drive rod defining a reference axis and during operation being arranged to rotate and be moved axially corresponding to the reference axis, the drive rod comprising a first thread and a second thread. The drive arrangement further comprises a drive member comprising a drive thread in engagement with the drive rod first thread, and a nut portion comprising a propulsion thread arranged rotationally locked relative to the stationary portion and in engagement with the drive rod second thread. The drive member is arranged to rotate corresponding to the reference axis during operation, with the threaded engagement between the drive member and the drive rod causing the drive rod to rotate, and the threaded engagement between the nut portion and the drive rod causing the drive rod to move in the distal direction.
Actuation mechanism
An actuation mechanism is presented for a medicament delivery device having a plunger rod arranged to act on a stopper of a medicament container, an actuator arranged slidable and connected to the plunger rod for acting on the stopper when said actuator is operated by displacing it in a longitudinal direction of the actuation mechanism, and an activator for activating the actuation mechanism and for setting a dose. The activator having a generally tubular activator sleeve provided with a spirally extending groove on an outer surface, the groove arranged with a length corresponding to the total amount of medicament to be delivered in a number of doses contained in said medicament container, where the groove is provided with an end wall, a stop ring arranged coaxial with said activator sleeve. The activator sleeve arranged with a follower positioned in the groove and the follower arranged to abut the end wall when the total amount has been delivered.
Dose limiting mechanism
An injection device comprises a dose selector, rotatable by a user to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device and a drive assembly including a drive shaft (140) and a plunger element (145), the drive assembly being capable of providing an axial force for ejecting a dose of medicament from a medicament container. A dose limit nut (141) is provided which is rotationally coupled to but not axially coupled to said drive shaft. The plunger element is threaded so that the dose limit nut is engaged with said plunger element via said thread, in order to guide relative axial movement between the dose limit nut and the plunger element. The dose limit nut is provided with dose limiting endstops which are capable of limiting axial travel of said dose limit nut with respect to said plunger element, so as to limit maximum and minimum doses of medicament which can be set by the user. In addition, the dose limit nut comprises a last dose rotary endstop feature which prevents further rotation of said dose limit nut with respect to said drive shaft so as to prevent the user setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medicament remaining in said medicament container.
Injection device
An injection device comprises a housing with a receptacle for a product, a dosing mechanism for setting a product dosage to be administered and for displaying the product dosage that has been set, and a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the product. The dosing mechanism comprises a dosing sleeve which is rotatable relative to the housing in a first direction for setting a product dosage and which is rotatable relative to the housing in a second, opposite direction for correcting or dispensing a product dosage. The dispensing mechanism comprises a piston rod, at least one sleeve, and a clutch. The device further comprises a first detector for detecting movement of the clutch relative to the dosing sleeve and/or the housing and/or the at least one sleeve and a data processing unit connected to the first detector for reading, storing, processing, transmitting, and/or displaying signals received from the first detector.
Drug delivery device with clutch feature
A drug delivery device comprising or adapted to receive a drug-filled cartridge, comprising a piston rod adapted to be rotated by a drive member to thereby move the piston rod distally during expelling, dose setting means allowing a user to simultaneously set a dose amount to be expelled, and a releasable locking mechanism adapted to rotationally lock the drive member relative to the housing during dose setting. The device further comprises release means actuatable between a dose setting mode and an expelling mode, wherein the locking mechanism is released when the release means is actuated from a dose setting mode to an expelling mode.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH USER FRIENDLY DOSE SELECTOR
An injection device incorporating a dose setting mechanism that contains a dose selector having a fail safe feature that activates during an interrupted dose delivery event where a projecting rib engages a protrusion on a snap element to prevent the dose knob from moving distally when a user removes an axial force in the proximal direction during dose delivery, intermediate stops to assist the user in dialing a dose and an injection feedback mechanism.
