Pen-type injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose-cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a piston rod adapted to operate through the housing, a dose dial sleeve located between the housing and the piston rod, and a drive sleeve located between the dose dial sleeve and the piston rod. The dose dial sleeve may have a helical thread of first lead and the drive sleeve may have a helical groove of second lead. The first lead of the helical thread and the second lead of the helical groove may be the same.
Therapy assist information and/or tracking device and related methods and systems
A monitoring feature, such as, for example, a pen cap, for an insulin delivery device may include at least one circuit adapted to detect at least one of a capping or decapping of the pen cap from an insulin pen and a processor for using information to the at least one of a capping or decapping of the pen cap. A monitoring feature for an insulin delivery device includes at least one circuit adapted to detect use of the insulin delivery device.
ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
An electronic system for a drug delivery device is provided. The electronic system comprises: at least one user interface member, which is arranged to be manipulated by a user of the drug delivery device, and an electrical user proximity detection unit. The user interface member has an exterior operation surface arranged and configured to be touched by a user of the drug delivery device during operation of the drug delivery device. The electrical user proximity detection unit is configured to generate a signal when the user is close to or touches the exterior operation surface.
Drug delivery apparatus
A drug delivery apparatus including a barrel to contain a substance, a piston slidable in the barrel, a supply circuit to provide input currents, an antenna affixed along the barrel to receive the input current, generate inductance with the piston, and provide output currents commensurate with a position of the piston along the piston course, and processing circuitry configured to receive the output currents, and determine a quantity of the substance inside the barrel based on the output currents.
Refill system for medical device using jet delivery principle
A fluid injection device of the jet stream type, comprising: —a housing defining a fluid collection chamber and having a nozzle; —a coupler for coupling the fluid injection device with a fluid container; —a piston head configured to be received and movable in the housing, to increase and decrease a volume thereof; —a piston rod, coupled to the piston head and having an internal flow channel, which extends from the piston rod for penetration of the fluid container, the piston head including a valve made of an elastically deformable material and comprising a radial flow channel, the radial flow channel being open when the piston head is moved in a fluid collection chamber volume increasing direction and the radial flow channel being closed by an elastic deformation of the valve material when the piston head is moved in a fluid collection chamber volume decreasing direction.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a dose detection system for use in combination with a medication delivery device in which a dose setting member rotates relative to an actuator during dose delivery. The dose detection system includes a module which is removably attached to the medication delivery device. The module includes a dosing component attached to the actuator during dose delivery. The dosing component includes a light source and a light sensor. A sensed element is attached to the dose setting member and includes surface features detectable by the light sensor.
Therapy management systems, methods, and devices
One or more embodiments of the disclosure are related, generally, to a reusable accessory for a manual medication delivery device. Such a reusable accessory may include a wireless communication interface, a detection circuitry, and a recommendation system. In one or more embodiments, an adapter may be configured to reversibly couple such a reusable accessory to a manual medication delivery device. Dosing events may be detected that are associated with dosing at the manual medication delivery device. Dose recommendations may be provided responsive to analyte measurements and/or dosing events.
ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE, DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
An electronic system comprising: at least one user interface member configured to be manipulated by a user for performing a dose setting operation of the drug delivery device and/or for performing a dose delivery operation for delivering a set dose, an electronic control unit configured to control operation of the electronic system, an electrical signaling unit configured to provide at least one electrical signal when the user interface member is manipulated, and a manipulation evaluation unit configured to evaluate the at least one electrical signal of the signaling unit to determine whether the manipulation of the user interface member indicated by the at least one signal of the signaling unit qualifies as an activation operation. The electronic control unit is configured to switch the electronic system into a higher power consumption when the manipulation evaluation unit has confirmed that the manipulation qualifies as activation operation.
Automatic medication delivery tracking
Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for tracking delivery of medication. In one aspect, a medication delivery tracking device can interface with and be physically placed on a medication delivery pen device. The medication delivery tracking device can detect an occurrence of a delivery of a medication by the medication delivery pen device. In some implementations, the medication delivery tracking device can detect a dose amount of the medication delivered by the medication delivery pen device.
SMART SYRINGE WITH DOSE CAPTURE AND APP FOR SMART PHONE
A smart syringe system and method are provided. The system includes a smart syringe and an external device. The syringe obtains data of a dose administered to a patient and wirelessly transmit the data to the external device. Alternately, the external device obtains the data via an image of the syringe. The external device may execute an application configured to process the data and display information of the dose.
