The present invention relates to a pre-filled disposable injection device and a needle cannula in combination. The prefilled disposable injection device (1) is made from a housing (2) containing a non-exchangeable cartridge (10) for storing a liquid drug sufficient for a number of injections. The proximal end of the pre-filled injection device (1) carries the dose setting button (3) and the distal end carries the needle cannula (20) having a lumen (21) through which the settable dose is expelled. The distal end (23) of the needle cannula (20) is covered by a telescopic needle covering shield (30) which shield (30) can operate between a first position covering the tip (24) of the needle cannula (20) and a second retracted position allowing an injection to be performed. The shield (30) carries a cleaner (50) which cleans at least the tip (24) of the needle cannula (20) between successive injections such that the prefilled injection device can be used without changing the needle cannula (20) during its life cycle.

INJECTION PEN WITH DIAL BACK AND LAST DOSE CONTROL

A medication injection pen comprises a dose set knob rotatable with respect to a housing to set a desired injection dose. The dose set knob comprises at least one internal thread. A leadscrew includes a thread element for advancing in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement. A driver is rotationally fixed to the leadscrew and is rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance the leadscrew in the first direction. The setback member is rotationally fixed to the driver. The dose stop member is rotationally coupled to the setback member and is axially movable relative to the dose set knob when the dose set knob is rotated relative to the setback member. Axial movement of the dose stop member limits the user from setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medication remaining in a cartridge.

Small unit dosage plunger rod stops

Plunger rod stops attach to existing syringes to limit the range of motion of the plunger, thereby to precisely control the amount of liquid that can be expelled from the syringe when the plunger rod stop is in place. In some embodiments, plunger rod stop devices generally include a body configured to attach to the plunger, and a stand-off extending from the body, configured to contact the finger flange when the plunger is depressed. In other embodiments, the plunger rod stop attaches to the finger flange or other fixed component of the syringe and the stand-off is configured to contact the plunger or plunger rod. Methods of the invention involve using the devices to interfere with the range of motion of the plunger, then reconfiguring or removing the device to allow the plunger to be moved a predetermined length, which corresponds to a precise dosage amount.
