Apparatus for recording information concerning the use of an injection device
Apparatus for recording information concerning the use of an injection device, the apparatus comprising: one or more sensors for providing information indicative of how the injection device is used; a processor configured to analyse said information detected by the one or more sensors to determine use information, said use information corresponding to how the injection device is used; and a memory for storing said use information in an image format such that said use information can be retrieved from the memory and displayed in an image.
Detection System for Syringe Assembly
Detection systems for a syringe assembly that provide precision in monitoring the amount of fluid contained within the syringe barrel, detecting motion of the plunger within the syringe barrel, detecting the position of the plunger within the syringe barrel, and/or monitoring the volume received within or delivered by the syringe assembly are disclosed. A detection system of the present disclosure allows a sensor in communication with a portion of a plunger assembly to sense the motion of a plunger rod relative to a syringe barrel and thereby volume received within or delivered by the syringe by reading gradations having an identifier directly as the plunger rod with sensor moves past each respective gradation with identifier.

A cassette including: a cartridge holder including a first end, a second end having a holder opening, and a holder columnar space located between the first end and the second end and capable of accommodating a drug cartridge, drug cartridge including: a cylinder including a first end at which an injection needle is insertable/extractable, a second end at which a cylinder opening is located, and a cylinder columnar space located between the first end and the second end; a drug placed in the cylinder columnar space; and a gasket being placed in the cylinder columnar space; a cassette cap capable of opening and closing the holder opening, the cassette cap including a first end having a cap opening that is opposed to the holder opening, a second end having a piston insertion opening, and a cap columnar space located between the first end and the second end.
ELECTRONICALLY-CONTROLLED CAPTURING SYSTEM FOR DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS
An electronically-controlled capturing system for capturing data representing an amount of a drug expelled or discharged from a drug reservoir includes an electronic circuit including an electric energy unit, a processing unit operable by electric power obtained from the electric energy unit and operable to acquire data, and an electronic storage unit connected to the processing unit and configured to store the acquired data. The processing unit is operable to write the acquired data in the storage unit and is operable to read and provide the stored data from the electronic storage unit. The capturing system also includes a data reading disabling unit operably connected to the processing unit , the electronic storage unit and/or the electric energy unit. The data reading disabling unit is switchable into an activated state, in which the data reading disabling unit persistently prevents readout or providing of stored data from the electronic storage unit.
Injector Device
An injector device comprising an elongate housing having a proximal end and a distal end, and configured to receive a container of medicament, a plunger rod moveable longitudinally within the housing between a primed position and a completed position, the plunger rod being configured to engage a container of medicament when received in the housing; wherein the housing comprises an indicator located in a proximal region of the housing; the indicator comprising a spindle, the spindle comprising a shaft and a dial, and wherein the shaft of the spindle comprises a threaded arrangement configured to engage with a threaded arrangement on the plunger rod such that longitudinal movement of the plunger rod from the primed position towards the completed position is configured to cause the dial of the spindle to rotate to provide a user with information associated with the progress of the injection process dependent upon the longitudinal position of the plunger rod.
Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure relates to a method of pairing an electronic data logging device of a drug delivery device with an external electronic device and to a respective drug delivery device. The drug delivery device comprises a housing configured to accommodate the medicament and to receive and/or mechanically engage with the electronic data logging device. The drug delivery device further comprises a first device component and a second device component. The first device component is movable relative to the second device component from a first positional state to a second positional state. The first device component comprises a first outer surface, and the second device component comprises a second outer surface. At least one of the first outer surface and the second outer surface comprises a first code portion of a pairing code for establishing a communication link between the electronic data logging device and an external electronic device.
Incremental syringe and related systems and methods
An incremental syringe configured for displacement of fluid, such as medicaments is disclosed. The syringe may comprise detents on the syringe plunger configured to provide tactile feedback, audible feedback, or both, for discrete units of fluid aspirated or injected to or from the syringe. In some embodiments, a second set of detents is included, and in some embodiments a third set of detents is included.
Medication delivery device with sensing system
Medication delivery devices are provided having a dose delivery sensing capability. A sensed element is attached to a dose setting member of the device. The sensed element includes surface features radially-spaced from one another. A rotational sensor is attached to an actuator of the device. The rotational sensor includes a movable element that is contactable against the surface features. The rotational sensor is configured to generate a signal in response to the movement of the movable element over the surface features during their rotation. A controller is operatively coupled to the rotational sensor, and in response to receiving the generated signal, the controller is configured to determine a number of the surface features passing the movable element of the rotational sensor during dose delivery. The number can be associated with an amount of dose delivered. Sensing can be provided in a module or integrated in device.
AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An injection device may include a housing, a container disposed within the housing, the container enclosing a fluid and having a first end and a second end, a conduit movable relative to the container, wherein the conduit is not in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container while in a first position, and is in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container and configured to deliver the fluid from the container to a patient while in a second position, and a lock that is removable from the housing, the lock having a first portion and a second portion.
Medication tracking system
A method may include receiving, from a volume meter at a pump configured to deliver medication to a patient, data indicative of a volume of a medication present in a syringe inserted in the pump. A first counter may be updated, based on the data, in response to the medication being delivered to the patient as a first dose type. A second counter may be updated, based on the data, in response to the medication being delivered to the patient as a second dose type.
