SYSTEMS, KITS AND METHODS FOR LOADING AND DELIVERING A SMALL VOLUME DOSE FROM A SYRINGE
A kit is disclosed for accurately loading a small volume dose of a medication within a syringe and for delivering the small volume dose of the medication at a treatment site. The kit generally includes a loading and delivery system in accordance herewith, a syringe, and a medication. The loading and delivery system includes a syringe delivery ring and a syringe loading guide, which may be used for example, to administer a small volume dose of a medication at the end of an ocular surgery.
ZERO-POINT ADJUSTMENT OF PREFILLED DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present invention provides a solution for zero-point adjustment of drug delivery devices, including twin chamber drug delivery devices with a single dose engine.
Syringe with optimised centre of gravity
A syringe has a syringe body configured to receive a product for injection. Gripping wings are arranged at one end of the syringe body. A piston rod is mounted so as to be able to slide inside the syringe body. A stop is arranged at a first end of the piston rod and has an end-of-travel position inside the syringe body. A pusher is arranged at a second end of the piston rod. The pusher has a mass greater than or equal to a threshold value beyond which the syringe has a center of gravity situated outside the syringe body when the stop is in the end-of-travel position.
Precision low-dose, low-waste syringes and ergonomic attachments therefor
Syringe attachments and syringes have particular suitability to the precision dispensing of small amounts of high viscosity materials, such as dermal fillers. Syringes and attachments may include precision position indicators viewed from multiple positions to enable a user to determine plunger position and the amount of dispensed contents with precision. A configuration of the attachment may be slidably secured to a syringe to permit a user to operate the syringe from a lateral position using sliding movement of the thumb and fingers of one hand, for example. This configuration may be particularly suitable for self-administered insulin injections.
Auto injector with temperature control
Disclosed is an auto injector and a method for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod configured to move a first stopper; a temperature sensor configured to provide a temperature signal indicative of the temperature of the medicament in the cartridge; a processing unit configured to: receive the temperature signal; control the drive module to move the plunger rod from a first plunger rod position to a mix plunger rod position wherein the movement from the first plunger rod position to the mix plunger rod position is based on the temperature signal.
MEDIUM INJECTION DIVERSION AND MEASUREMENT
A system for measurement automation of a fluid injected into a patient includes a reservoir, a fluid injection apparatus, and a measurement automation apparatus. The fluid injection apparatus includes a delivery conduit, an injector for injecting the fluid into the patient, a diverter assembly disposed between the delivery conduit and the injector, and a connector between the diverter assembly and delivery conduit. The diverter assembly is configured to divert at least a portion of the fluid away from an injection fluid path between the injector and the delivery conduit to the reservoir. The measurement automation apparatus includes an injector sensor module, a reservoir sensor module, a processer configured to receive the data from the sensor modules, and a display.
FRONT LOADED AUTO INJECTOR FOR ADMINISTERING A MEDICAMENT
Disclosed is a method for controlling an auto injector and an auto injector for administering a medicament from a cartridge having a first cartridge end and a second cartridge end and having a cartridge outlet at the first cartridge end, the cartridge comprising a cartridge compartment with a first cartridge subcompartment containing a first medicament component of the medicament and a second cartridge subcompartment containing a second medicament component of the medicament. The auto injector comprises: a housing; a cartridge receiver; a cartridge sensor; a drive module; an orientation sensor; and a processing unit.
Transmission of data associated with an injection device usage using passive RF modulation
Implementations of the present disclosure are directed to an injection device including: a reservoir including a wall defining a proximal end, a distal end and a tubular side, a plunger rod configured to be movable within the reservoir in a direction from the distal end to the proximal end, a radio frequency (RF) antenna attached to the tubular side and configured to receive an interrogation signal from an external device, and a resonating assembly configured to receive the interrogation signal from the RF antenna and to generate a modulated RF signal having a frequency associated with a position of the plunger rod.
Injection apparatus comprising a laterally attached actuation member for triggering the product release
A drive and metering apparatus for an injection apparatus for releasing a liquid product, the drive and metering apparatus comprising: a) a housing, b) a dose adjustment member, which is rotatable relative to the housing for adjusting the product dose to be released, c) an actuation member which is displaceable from a non-actuated position, which it assumes while adjusting the product dose to be released, into an actuated position, which it assumes while it releases the product, wherein the displacement of the actuation member into the actuated position triggers a product release and the actuation member comprises an actuation section, which is accessible to a user of the drive and metering apparatus and by means of which the user can displace the actuation member from the non-actuated position into the actuated position, d) wherein the actuation section is arranged distally in relation to the dose adjustment member.
Volume monitoring systems
An apparatus has a syringe housing and a plunger having a shaft, wherein the plunger is slidably received within the syringe housing between a first and second position. A plurality of Hall sensors are disposed on the shaft. A circuit board is also disposed on the shaft. A battery is disposed on the shaft. A wireless transmitter is disposed on the shaft and provides wireless communication between a Hall sensor and a signal processing device. At least one magnet is fixed proximate the syringe housing.
