A method of assembling the drive mechanism of the invention, in which the drive sleeve (3) together with the piston rod (2) and the piston rod guide (5) into the mounting member (4) are inserted from the side of the distal end of the applicator.
DEVICE FOR THE DOSED ADMINISTRATION OF A FLUID PRODUCT, ADAPTED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A CONTAINER
A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.
SYRINGE DEVICE WITH A DOSE LIMITING MECHANISM AND AN ADDITIONAL SAFETY MECHANISM
A syringe device for ejecting a dose of a medicament, the syringe device comprising: a dose limiting mechanism arranged to interact with a dose ejecting mechanism to prevent ejection of a dose exceeding a set dose, and a safety mechanism, which is arranged such with respect to the dose ejecting mechanism that, if the dose limiting mechanism fails, the safety mechanism prevents ejection of a dose exceeding the set dose.
Drug Delivery Device and Assembly Method for a Drug Delivery Device
The present invention refers to a drug delivery device comprising a housing (5, 10) with an opening (12), a piston rod (11) having a proximal end and a distal end, at least a portion with an interface (14) adapted to engage the opening (12) for guiding the piston rod (11) during a distal or proximal movement of the piston rod (11) relative to the housing (5, 10) and at least one first attachment element (15) located at the distal end, and a bearing (16) with at least one second attachment element (17, 18) for rotatable attachment of the bearing (16) at the distal end of the piston rod (11). The at least one first attachment element (15) and/or the at least one second attachment element (17, 18) is elastically deformable in a radial direction for snap engagement of the piston rod (11) and the bearing (5, 10). Drug delivery device adapted to expel a set dose, comprising an expelling mechanism with a drive spring, a dose setting mechanism with first and second dose setting ratchet parts, a bias spring as well as control means. The control means is adapted to rotate the second ratchet part in a first direction to thereby set a dose when rotating the dose setting member in the first direction, and move the ratchet parts axially out of engagement with each other when the dose setting member is rotated in the opposite direction. When the first and second ratchet parts have been axially disengaged, the drive spring will rotate the second ratchet part in the second direction to thereby reduce the set dose, the bias spring moving the ratchet parts axially into engagement with each other again, this resulting in the set dose being reduced corresponding to one tooth of the ratchet mechanism.
