Housing for a medical injection device
The invention relates to a medical injection device having polymeric housing. The housing comprises a moulded outer housing element and a moulded ring-shaped unitary element. The ring-shaped unitary element carries a pointer and a thread segment in predetermined and correlated positions. The pointer points to indicia on a scale drum and the thread segments guides the scale drum. The outer housing element is moulded over the unitary element to form one single component.
Resettable Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure is generally directed to a resettable drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a housing, a cartridge holder, releasably attached to the distal end of the housing, a piston rod, engaging a housing insert and a drive member, a dose setting member, guided within the housing to allow rotation of the dose setting member during dose setting and dose dispensing, and a clutch for rotationally coupling the drive member and the dose setting member. The housing insert is rotationally constrained to the housing and is axially movable together with the drive member relative to the housing between a dose setting and dispensing position, and a resetting position. In the dose resetting position. the drive member is rotationally de-coupled from the housing.
PEN-TYPE DRUG INJECTOR AND ADD-ON MODULE WITH MAGNETIC DOSAGE SENSOR SYSTEM AND ERROR DETECTION
Add-on module (100) for logging the value of an expelled dose from a pen-type drug injector (200), comprising a magnetic sensor system comprising first and second sensor means (745/746) as well as a mechanical dose setting and expelling mechanism comprising a magnetic clutch element (240/740) which rotates during drug expelling. The system further comprises processor means configured to determine (i) on the basis of measured values from the first sensor means, a rotational position of the clutch element, (ii) on the basis of measured values from the second sensor means, a high-speed condition in which the rotational speed of the clutch element exceeds a given threshold level, and (iii) indicate an error state if the high-speed condition is detected.
Dispense mechanism for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
A dispense mechanism for a drug delivery device for the delivery of a primary medicament in a primary cartridge and a secondary medicament in a secondary cartridge includes a primary drive member and a secondary drive member serve for driving a primary and a secondary lead screw. The primary drive member and the secondary drive member are configured to rotate during dose dispense. A coupling member serves for rotationally coupling the primary drive member to the secondary drive member and moves from a first position in which the primary drive member is rotationally decoupled from the secondary drive member into a second position in which the primary drive member is rotationally coupled to the secondary drive member during dose dispense. Rotation of the primary drive member moves the coupling member from the first position into the second position.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING INFORMATION FROM A MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A communication device arranged for transmitting information from a medicament delivery device is presented. The communication device includes at least one rotation detection arrangement, the at least one rotation detection arrangement being configured to detect a rotation of at least one physical part of the medicament delivery device. The communication device also includes at least one determination unit configured to determine information related to a medicament delivery performed by the medicament delivery device. The communication device further includes at least one activation unit configured to activate the at least one determination unit based on the detected rotation. Also, the communication device includes at least one transmission unit configured to provide a wireless transmission of the information to an external receiving device.
Pen-Type Injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a cartridge containing medicinal product, the cartridge being retained within the housing, means for selecting a dose of medicinal product to be expelled, and means for expelling the selected dose of medicinal product. The housing may be a unitary housing within which the means for selecting a dose and the means for expelling the selected dose are moveably retained. Alternatively, the injector may include a housing, a piston rod, an insert located in the housing and through which the piston may rotate, ratchet means, a dose dial sleeve, a drive sleeve, a button located on the drive sleeve and rotatable with respect to the drive sleeve, and clutch means which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.
INJECTING DEVICE WITH DOSE RESETTING MECHANISM
Injecting device with dose resetting mechanism enables release energy accumulated in spring means (17) and causes automatically the back movement of an indicating element (16) to its initial position without causing any axial movement of a threaded piston rod (10), said actions being initiated by one movement of a dose setting element (4) in the direction opposite to that when setting a dose. Reset clutch (13) is made as an axially sliding, shaped coupling element moved by means of the dose setting element (4), and moreover this reset clutch (13) is functionally connected with a drive unit destined to co-operate with the spring means (17) in such a way that when this reset clutch (13) is released, said drive unit is disconnected from the spring means (17) retaining the connection of this spring means (17) with the indicating element (16).
Injection device with dose indicator mechanism
An injection device comprises a housing, a dose indicator positioned within the housing and a dose selector operatively connectable to the dose indicator. The dose selector and the dose indicator are capable of cooperating with one another to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. The dose indicator comprises an odometer including: i. a units (218) wheel operatively connected to the dose selector so that rotation of the dose selector also rotates the units wheel, and ii. a tens wheel (219) selectively engageable with the units wheel so that rotation of the units wheel also rotates the tens wheel. The dose indicator further comprises an axially-moveable shuttle lock (222) rotationally locked to the tens wheel and selectively engageable with the units wheel and the housing. The tens wheel is selectively engageable with the units wheel via said shuttle lock and, when the tens wheel is not engaged with the units wheel, the shuttle lock is rotationally locked to the housing.
SYRINGE CONTAINER
According to the present invention, a packing member (20) is disposed between a mouth portion (2b) of a container body (2) and a lid base portion (5). A crushing protrusion (20b) which protrudes downward and is crushed to an upper end opening edge of the container body (2) is formed on a lower surface of the packing member (20). An overhang recess (20c) which is at least partially located just above the crushing protrusion (20b) is formed on an upper surface of the packing member (20). After the lid base portion (5), the movable lid portion (6) and the syringe tube (8) are detached from the container body (2), when mounting again, until a crushing protrusion (20b) is crushed, the packing member (20) forms a communication gap (30) between the mouth portion (2b) of the container body (2) and the packing member (20).
Injection apparatus
An injection apparatus includes a counter wheel that is incremented by the dose delivery mechanism each time the device is fired. The apparatus includes a final dose disabling mechanism that prevents further usage once the final dose has been delivered. An anti-tamper feature is provided to prevent inadvertent or premature initialisation of the apparatus.
