DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID

A device for administering a fluid can include a cylinder, a piston connected to a piston rod, and a tensioning device connected to the piston rod. In a dispensing procedure a ramp track is rotated until the roller runs over a transfer region and is accelerated toward the first plateau and, as a result, the piston is moved toward an open dispensing end. A motor is connected to the ramp via a coupling. To rotate the ramp, the coupling transmits torque provided by the motor in the first rotation direction and, in the process, provides a freewheel counter to the first rotation direction. The freewheel is configured such that it covers at least a rotation angle range which corresponds to the transfer region.

INJECTION DEVICES

The invention relates to an injection device which includes a handle and a guard which together enclose a movable cartridge which can contain liquid material to be injected, and further enclose a movable injector that includes a needle, the needle being attached to a housing where the housing is attached to the cartridge, the device also including a delivery mechanism whereby the needle is moved from a retracted to an extended position, and independently the volume of the chamber may be adjusted to expel the contents thereof through the needle and into a subject in need thereof. The injection device may be communicatively connected to a control unit so as to provide a dermal injection system.

PHARMACEUTICAL CARTRIDGE HOLDING UNIT, AND PHARMACEUTICAL INJECTION DEVICE PROVIDED THEREWITH

A pharmaceutical cartridge holding unit holds a pharmaceutical cartridge and is mounted to a pharmaceutical injection device main body in order to mount the pharmaceutical cartridge to a pharmaceutical injection device. The pharmaceutical cartridge holding unit comprises an outer peripheral cap having a distal end opening and a rear end opening, and a cartridge cover that is disposed on the inside of the outer peripheral cap and is held in a state of being able to slide forward and backward with respect to the outer peripheral cap. The outer peripheral cap has a guide component that guides the sliding of the cartridge cover forward and backward, stoppers that prevent the cartridge cover from coming loose from the outer peripheral cap, and protrusions that can engage with the pharmaceutical injection device main body.

AUTO INJECTOR WITH TEMPERATURE CONTROL

Disclosed is an auto injector and a method for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod configured to move a first stopper; a temperature sensor configured to provide a temperature signal indicative of the temperature of the medicament in the cartridge; a processing unit configured to: receive the temperature signal; control the drive module to move the plunger rod from a first plunger rod position to a mix plunger rod position wherein the movement from the first plunger rod position to the mix plunger rod position is based on the temperature signal.

CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING INJECTION DEVICE

An electronic insulin delivery device receives glucose data from a glucose monitor and sets a bolus dose amount. The device may take the form of an insulin pen with automatic priming and accurate dosing provided by a motor in connection with an encoder. The device may communicate with and be controlled by a smart phone device. The smart phone device provides a user interface to receive user data including patient weight, insulin to carbohydrate ratio and exercise factor, and to send instructions to the device, including dose amount. The dose amount is determined taking into account glucose level and trend, and other factors. The delivery device may be in continuous communication with the glucose monitor and smart phone to provide for near real-time adjustments in glucose treatment. Glucose data, insulin injection data, and other relevant data may be stored and accessible to interested parties.

INJECTION DEVICE

An injection device has a plunger for displacing a stopper in a syringe or carpule, a holder for the plunger, a drive for the axial displacement of the holder of the plunger, and a control device functionally assigned to the drive. The plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, the holder is able to move over a limited distance relative to the plunger or a subcomponent thereof, opposing a pretensioning force, in that a sensor device is included which detects the relative position of the plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, which comprises at least one sensor element which works together with the control device. The control device is designed such that, upon activation of the sensor element, the speed of advancement of the holder of the plunger is at least reduced.

NOVEL DEVICE FOR OPHTHALMIC DELIVERY

Described herein is an intracameral therapeutic agent delivery device in the form of a pen-injector comprising a cartridge container for dispensing multiple doses of a medicament, coupled to an actuation assembly within a housing. A needle assembly is coupled to the distal end of the cartridge container, provided with a removable cap received within the housing will be in optional pre-sterile or no-sterile condition. Use of such device for the prevention or treatment of ocular conditions or diseases is also disclosed.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DELIVERY OF THERAPEUTIC AGENTS

Methods and apparatus for the reproducible, consistent and efficacious delivery of a therapeutic agent to a subject. The present disclosure comprises apparatus for the controlled administration of the therapeutic agent through an orifice to the subject, a plurality of penetrating electrodes arranged with a predetermined spatial relationship relative to the orifice, and an electrical signal generator operatively connected to the electrodes.
