Injection device
A handheld injection device includes a housing, a rotatable dose setting member and a power reservoir coupled to the dose setting member. Energy is stored in the power reservoir during rotation of the dose setting member. The injection device also includes a release member for receiving a force from a user and a rotatably arranged drive member engaging with a drive track of a piston rod. The device further includes a release clutch rotationally constrained to the housing and releasably engaging the drive member. The release clutch is positionable in a first axial position when the release member is in a dose setting position and in a second axial position when the release member is in a dose injection position. The axial position of the drive member within the housing remains constant when the release member is in its dose setting position and in its dose injection position.
Device for delivering a medicament
A device for delivery of medicament, which device comprises an elongated housing; a container mounted within said housing and adapted to contain liquid medicament; a stopper slidably arranged within said container; and actuating means comprising a resilient member, a driving means having one end connected to the stopper and a second end being operably connected to the resilient member, retaining means for releasably retaining said driving means in a first position where said resilient member has an accumulated energy, and activating means operably connected to said retaining means for releasing said driving means to a second position, upon actively operation by an user, such that said accumulated energy is transferred to the driving means for driving the stopper a predetermined distance within the container whereby the medicament within said container is delivered characterized in that the resilient member is a variable force spring adapted for generating a predetermined sequence of at least two different force profiles during the medicament delivery.
DOSE GUIDES FOR INJECTION SYRINGE
The present embodiments provide for simple devices that guide the loading and dispensing of accurate small doses of fluid from standard injection syringes.
Torsion spring driven injection device
The invention relates to a torsion spring driven injection device for ejecting set doses of a liquid drug. In a first aspect the torsion spring driven injection device is provided with a blocking structure which is operated by the rotatable display element such that the set dose can only be expelled when a certain minimum dose size has been set. In a second aspect the torsion spring driven injection device is provided with a release mechanism which secures that the set dose can only be expelled as one single full dose in one stroke. The two aspects can easily be combined such that the predetermined minimum dose size most be expelled as one single dose.
Safety Clip for Medical Injection Device
Disclosed herein is a subassembly for a medical injection device and a medical injection device including the subassembly. The subassembly includes a first housing shell, a drive assembly configured to move a stopper of a syringe assembly, the drive assembly including a drive member, a plunger body, and a lever actuation member moveable between a locked position where actuation of the drive assembly is prevented and a released position where actuation of the drive assembly is allowed, the drive assembly configured to be received at least partially within the housing shell. The subassembly also includes a motor body, the motor body receiving at least a portion of the drive assembly therein and configured to be received at least partially within the housing shell, and a safety clip configured to couple to the motor body and to secure the lever actuation member in the locked position.
Autoinjector
The autoinjector has a proximal end and, a longitudinal axis A, and a housing configured to receive a medical container having a barrel defining a reservoir for containing a medical product, and said barrel having a distal end provided with a needle and an opened proximal end configured to receive a plunger rod for pushing a stopper arranged inside the barrel. A needle cover is coupled to and movable with respect to said housing between a first extended position, a retracted position, and a second extended position wherein the needle cover moves back in the distal direction to shield the needle. An injection mechanism is configured to move the plunger rod distally inside the barrel in order to expel the medical product contained inside the barrel. A holder is movable with respect to the housing between a passive position wherein the holder does not trigger the injection mechanism and an active position wherein the holder triggers the injection mechanism. The autoinjector includes blocking means configured to prevent the medical container from moving proximally inside the housing, such that the medical container cannot displace the holder towards the active position if the autoinjector falls down onto a floor, proximal end first.
Injector
An injector having a two stage injection comprising: an outer housing having a first end and a second end; and a plunger assembly for being received within the outer housing and comprising a barrel having a needle disposed at an end thereof and a plunger for dispensing a fluid through the needle; in use the plunger assembly being moveable within the outer housing between a retracted position wherein the needle is at least partially housed within the outer housing and an engaged position wherein the needle projects outwardly of a needle opening located at the first end of the outer housing and whereby a rotary inhibiting mechanism interacts with the plunger assembly to inhibit movement of the plunger within the barrel until the plunger assembly has reached the engaged position.
SYRINGE DEVICES
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug and a stopper. The syringe is housed and/or placed in an encasement. The plunger assembly can include a plunger, an actuator, and a spacer, wherein the plunger assembly is configured to move the stopper a predetermined distance without a user touching the plunger. Methods of assembling and using the syringe devices are also described.
SELECTABLE SINGLE DOSE AUTO-INJECTOR AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
An auto-injector device for administering a liquid pharmaceutical composition, in which an end-user can select between doses that the device is capable of delivering. The end-user choices that translate into the selected doses can be based on end-user perceived severity of symptoms, end-user weight and other such factors. In some embodiments the auto-injector is configured to administer the one chosen dose only. In other embodiments, the auto-injector can deliver second and subsequent doses up to full dose of the pharmaceutical composition disposed in the injector. The auto-injector can provide visual, audio, and tactile feedback, alone or in combination, to the user to indicate the dose selected, instructions for use, and when the dose has been administered.
MEDICAL FLUID INJECTION DEVICE WITH FILL INDICATOR
An injection device has a generally disc-shaped housing including an arcuate clear section and graduated markings in an arcuate arrangement on or adjacent to the clear section. An arcuately expandable member is contained within the housing and is configured to hold a volume of liquid. An indicator is connected to the expandable member and positioned within the housing. The indicator is configured to move along an arcuate path adjacent to the clear section such that alignment of the indicator with the graduated markings indicates a volume of liquid within the expandable member.
