The clip comprises a base portion mounted to a portion of the drug delivery device, and a clip gripping portion with a free end. The device further comprises drug expelling means having dose setting means (340) allowing a user to set a dose of drug to be expelled, and a piston rod adapted to move a piston of a loaded cartridge in a distal direction to thereby expel drug from the cartridge. Electronic circuitry comprises sensor means adapted to detect a set and/or an expelled dose, and a display (374) is provided to display dose-related values, wherein at least a portion of the display is arranged in the flexible clip main portion.
AUTOMATIC MEDICATION INJECTION DEVICE WITH VISIBLE INDICATION OF INJECTING PROGRESS
An automatic medication injection device (20) including injecting progress indicators (82-85) visible along a periphery of the device housing (23). The injecting progress indicators include a flag element (100) which is movable as a drive mechanism (60) of the device advances a sealing plunger (58) within a container of medication (50). The injecting progress indicators are configured to indicate sequentially during a single injection as the flag element moves to cooperatively complete different injecting progress indicators at different times during the single injection, whereby injecting progress of the injection may be monitored by a user.
Data Collection Device for Attachment to an Injection Device
Data collection devices for attachment to injection devices are disclosed. In one embodiment, the data collection device includes: a body attachable to a dial member of the injection device, a sensor arrangement comprising a sensor and a scale, and a processor. The sensor is configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to a trigger of the injection device. The processor is configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to the trigger. One of the sensor and the scale is arranged in or on the body and wherein the other one of the sensor and the scale is located on the trigger or is rotationally lockable to the trigger configured to detect a rotation of the body relative to the trigger.
Pen-Type Injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose cartridge and permit a user to set the delivery dose. The injector may include a housing, a cartridge containing medicinal product, the cartridge being retained within the housing, means for selecting a dose of medicinal product to be expelled, and means for expelling the selected dose of medicinal product. The housing may be a unitary housing within which the means for selecting a dose and the means for expelling the selected dose are moveably retained. Alternatively, the injector may include a housing, a piston rod, an insert located in the housing and through which the piston may rotate, ratchet means, a dose dial sleeve, a drive sleeve, a button located on the drive sleeve and rotatable with respect to the drive sleeve, and clutch means which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.
Injection device with dose indicator mechanism
An injection device comprises a housing, a dose indicator positioned within the housing and a dose selector operatively connectable to the dose indicator. The dose selector and the dose indicator are capable of cooperating with one another to set a dose to be ejected from the injection device. The dose indicator comprises an odometer including: i. a units (218) wheel operatively connected to the dose selector so that rotation of the dose selector also rotates the units wheel, and ii. a tens wheel (219) selectively engageable with the units wheel so that rotation of the units wheel also rotates the tens wheel. The dose indicator further comprises an axially-moveable shuttle lock (222) rotationally locked to the tens wheel and selectively engageable with the units wheel and the housing. The tens wheel is selectively engageable with the units wheel via said shuttle lock and, when the tens wheel is not engaged with the units wheel, the shuttle lock is rotationally locked to the housing.
Medication delivery device
A medication delivery device and/or dosing mechanisms suitable for use in medication delivery devices, in particular in pen-type injectors, preferably having a dose setting system and a drive device enabling the administration of a medicinal product from a single- or multi-dose medication cartridge.
Dispense interface with lockout element
The invention is related to an apparatus comprising a dispense interface comprising a lockout element for use with a drug delivery device, the lockout element comprising at least one spring component removeably maintained in a respective first position such that when the dispense interface is first attached and then removed from said drug delivery device, each spring component moves into a respective second position, which respective second position is configured to prevent said dispense interface from being reattached to a drug delivery device.
Display and Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to a non-numerical display for such a device. The display comprises a housing with at least one window, a dosing element movable relative to the housing during dose setting and/or dose dispensing, and a movable indicator element visible through the at least one window The indicator element is coupled to the dosing element and/or to the housing such that it moves not proportional to the dosing element.
Medicament Delivery Device
A medicament delivery device includes a housing; a hollow plunger rod; a dose drum concentrically arranged between the housing and plunger rod and movable when setting and delivering a dose; and a plunger rod driver. The driver includes a hollow ratchet arm drum movably arranged within the plunger rod and fixed to the dose drum, with the arm drum and rod releasably coupled; a dose activator having a longitudinal rod movably arranged within and releasably coupled to the arm drum; a dose setting knob fixed to the dose activator and releasably coupled to the arm drum; and a resilient element arranged between the arm drum and dose activator that biasses them in a direction decoupling the longitudinal rod from the arm drum and coupling the knob with the arm drum, such that during dose setting, turning the knob forces the arm drum and dose drum to rotate together.
Drive Mechanism for use in a Drug Delivery Device
The disclosure is directed to a drive mechanism for use in a drug delivery device having a cartridge, the mechanism comprising a base element, a toothed piston rod movable from a first retracted position corresponding to a full cartridge to a second extended position corresponding to an empty cartridge, wherein the piston rod is guided within and movable relative to the base portion, and a drive gear having a pinion, which is rotatably held in the base element and in meshed engagement with the toothed piston rod, wherein the toothed piston rod comprises multiple rigid rod pieces which are connected by hinges, and a drive spring, which is fixed to the base element with one end and fixed to the drive gear with another end and which exerts a force or torque to the drive gear for rotating the drive gear relative to the base element, which rotation results in a movement of the toothed piston rod. The drive spring is charged during manufacture or assembly, wherein the energy stored in the drive spring is sufficient to move the piston rod (from the first to the second position. The disclosure is also directed to a drug delivery device.
