SYRINGE WITH PLUNGER EXTENSION
A single-hand controlled syringe with plunger extension includes a barrel, a plunger fit to the barrel, and a plunger extension integrated with the plunger. The plunger extension consists of a head, a back, and a body between the head and the back. The body of the plunger extension is oriented parallel to the plunger, with integrated connection at the back of the plunger extension and the back of the plunger. Depressing the head of the plunger extension moves the syringe from the contracted state to the retracted state. Such syringe with plunger extension is useful to draw blood or fluid with a single hand.
Autoinjector
An injector such as a needle-type autoinjector having a flexible flange disposed at an injection end of the injector for stretching or pinching the skin of the injection site. The flexible flange may be removably attached to the injector or integrated into the injector during manufacturing. Further, an injector having a palm button disposed at an activation end of the injector for activating an injection cycle of the injector. The palm button may be removably attached to the injector or integrated into the injector during manufacturing. Still further, a holding device for one-handed operation of an injector, the holding device having a sleeve and at least one hand rest coupled to the sleeve, the sleeve and hand rest providing ergonomic holding and operation of the injector. Still further, autoinjector needle shield having an enlarged, rounded lip for contacting the skin at the injection site.
Microneedle injection apparatus comprising a dual cover
A microneedle injection apparatus comprising a dual cover. The apparatus can include a housing having a base and a cavity; a microneedle array comprising a first side comprising a plurality of microneedles; and a microneedle array holder configured to hold a microneedle array and located in the housing. The microneedle array holder can be movable between a retracted position, and an extended position. The apparatus can further include a cover configured to be positioned to cover the opening in the base of the housing. The cover can include (i) a first portion configured to cover at least a portion of the base of the housing adjacent the opening, and (ii) a second portion configured to be received in the cavity of the housing and further configured to cover the plurality of microneedles on the microneedle array when the microneedle array holder is in the retracted position.
Method and Apparatus for Controlled Relative Motion of Surgical Instruments and Components
Provided herein are devices, systems, and methods for providing controlled delivery of a therapeutic substance during a surgical procedure.
Devices and methods for syringes configured to reduce or eliminate residual volume
The present disclosure relates to a syringe including a container, for containing a primary fluid, and at least one secondary fluid chamber configured to contain a secondary fluid. The container comprises a proximal end and a distal end and having a distal end opening at the distal end. The syringe further comprises a stopper, movably arranged within the container; and a plunger engageable with the stopper and configured to apply a force to the stopper to move the stopper within the container towards the distal end of the container, to expel primary fluid from the container through the distal end opening. The plunger is further configured to expel secondary fluid from the at least one secondary fluid chamber towards the distal end opening, to expel at least a portion of a residual volume of primary fluid through the distal end opening. A plunger system and assembly for a syringe and methods of expelling fluid from a syringe are also disclosed.
Fluid delivery device needle retraction mechanisms, cartridges and expandable hydraulic fluid seals
A fluid delivery device includes an automatic needle retraction mechanism configured to automatically retract a delivery end of a needle into a housing. In one embodiment, the needle assembly is configured to automatically withdraw the delivery end of the needle into the housing upon an actuator moving from the first position to the second position. In one embodiment, the needle assembly is configured to automatically withdraw the delivery end of the needle into the housing upon decoupling a bottom surface of the housing from a skin surface.
SAFETY SYRINGE STRUCTURE
A safety syringe structure includes a combined structure of a syringe barrel, a needle retreater, a needle, and a plunger. The needle retreater and the plunger are slidably received in the syringe barrel. The needle retreater is arranged adjacent to the front end of the syringe barrel. The needle is coupled to the needle retreater. The plunger has an end extended to form a sharp tip and is provided with a plug facing the needle retreater. The sharp tip extends outside the plug in a direction toward the needle retreater. The sharp tip is movable with the plunger toward the front end of the syringe barrel to pierce into and couple with the through hole of the needle retreater; and the sharp tip is movable with the plunger toward the rear end of the syringe barrel to drive, through the needle retreater, the needle into the channel.
Injector apparatus
The devices and methods described herein relate to injector devices for delivering payloads to a tissue.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, a reservoir for medicament disposed in the housing and a dispensing member. The dispensing member is moveable relative to the housing from a first position to a second position to dispense medicament from the reservoir when the reservoir contains medicament. The medicament delivery device further comprises first and second biasing members. The first biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the first position to an intermediate position. The second biasing member is configured to urge the dispensing member from the intermediate position to the second position.
Single-use pneumatic safety syringe providing gas-driven needle retraction
A pneumatic retractable syringe has a plunger having an interior retraction lumen. The plunger and syringe barrel have cooperating locking elements so that the plunger is locked after use within the syringe barrel. After injection of medicament is completed, the needle is retracted into the lumen by compressed gas that is released from a gas cell within the syringe when the gas cell is ruptured just before the plunger reaches the end of its downstream path of travel.
