The thermoelectric cooling system includes a thermally-conductive cold tip, a thermally-conductive cooling power concentrator thermally coupled to the cold tip, at least one Peltier unit module thermally coupled to the cooling power concentrator, a heatsink thermally coupled to at least one Peltier unit module, a power source, at least one thermal sensor, and a controller operably outputting a control signal to the Peltier unit module to maintain a predetermined temperature.
PHARMACEUTICAL ADAPTOR SYSTEM AND PHARMACEUTICAL KIT SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical adaptor system. The pharmaceutical adaptor system comprises a syringe assembly having an axial extension and comprising a first end part and a second end part, the first end part having a male tubular projection, the syringe assembly comprising a syringe and a connecting element having a first mechanical connection part, a unit such as a needle, a vial, a catheter or an IV line, and an adaptor providing fluid communication between the syringe and the unit and having a second mechanical connection part configured to engage with the first mechanical connection part in an engagement direction, thereby in fully engaged position preventing further relative axial movement between the adaptor and the male tubular projection, wherein the adaptor comprises a sealing element configured to receive the male tubular projection and provide sealing between the male tubular projection and the adaptor. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical kit system comprising a pharmaceutical adaptor system according to the present invention.
Apparatuses and method for injecting medicaments
An injector for delivering a medicament includes an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve, and a syringe. The inner sleeve is disposed partially within the outer sleeve. A plunger rod of the syringe is engaged with the outer sleeve in a fixed spatial relationship such that the plunger rod and the outer sleeve translate as a unit. The outer sleeve is configured for axial translation relative to the inner sleeve from a first configuration wherein the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a first distance to a second configuration in which the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a second distance that is less than the first distance. Further, in a third configuration the inner sleeve extends from the outer sleeve a third distance that is greater than the second distance and the inner sleeve is restricted from axially translating with respect to the outer sleeve.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device (1) comprising: a housing (3), an actuator structure (5) arranged in the housing (3) and configured to be moved linearly from an initial position relative to the housing (3) to a final position, the actuator structure (5) having a medicament container holder (5c) configured to receive a mechanically flexible medicament container (13a), the actuator structure (5) comprising a movable button (5a) arranged in a default position protruding from the housing (3) when the actuator structure (5) is in the initial position, wherein the button (5a) is configured to be moved from the default position into the medicament container holder (5c) to a squeeze position to squeeze the medicament container (13a), wherein the actuator structure (5) has a first engagement structure (5d) and the housing (3) has a second engagement structure (3e) configured to engage with the first engagement structure (5d) when the button (5a) is in the default position, to prevent the actuator structure (5) from movement from the initial position towards the final position, wherein the first engagement structure (5d) is configured to disengage from engagement with the second engagement structure (3e) when the button (5a) is moved towards the squeeze position, enabling the actuator structure (5) to be moved from the initial position to the final position.
Medical syringe with retractable needle and modified plunger handle with concave pressure application surface
A medical syringe having a forwardly projecting needle that is selectively retractable following use and also having a specially configured plunger handle and thumb cap that cooperate to form a concave pressure application surface (CPAS). The concave pressure application surface at the rear of the plunger handle enables the subject medical syringe to achieve functional advantages, each with an associated therapeutic benefit, that are not achieved with use of the prior art devices.
SAFETY NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
Some embodiments are directed toward a safety needle assembly including a hub having a proximal end for connecting with a syringe extending in a proximal area of the hub; a needle longitudinally extending from a distal end of the hub in a distal area of the hub; and a sheath pivotally connected to the hub. The sheath can have two side walls connected by a back wall defining a receiving space therebetween for receiving the needle; wherein the sheath is adjustable between a starting position in which the sheath is substantially positioned in the distal area of the hub, between a use position in which the sheath is substantially positioned in the proximal area of the hub, and between a locked position in which the sheath is locked to secure the needle into the receiving space.
Retractable Syringe With Improved Delivery Efficiency And Locking System
A plunger, a needle assembly and a retractable syringe comprising same are provided. The plunger comprises a plunger member and a plunger outer having a lock spring that prevents or impedes movement of the plunger member after needle retraction. The plunger further comprises another locking member for engaging the barrel to prevent or impede further movement of the plunger outer after delivery of fluid contents. The plunger member has a plunger seal which engages a retractable needle of the needle assembly for retraction. The retractable needle comprises a cannula and needle body with a plurality of fluid channels that co-operate with a fluid conduit of the plunger seal to efficiently direct fluid to the cannula. A needle retainer comprises a plurality of barbed arms releasably coupled to the needle body, whereby an ejector with tabs facilitates release of the retractable needle from the needle retainer to allow compressed spring-driven retraction.
