SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
A system for serially injecting liquids includes a syringe body defining a syringe proximal opening and a distal needle interface, proximal and distal stopper members, forming proximal and distal chambers. The system also includes a first liquid in the distal chamber and a second liquid in the proximal chamber, and a plunger configured to be manually manipulated to insert the proximal stopper member distally. Moreover, the system includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the syringe body, the needle assembly including a needle. The needle defines a needle interior, and distal, middle and proximal openings. The distal, middle and proximal openings are fluidly coupled through the needle interior. Manipulating the plunger member to insert the proximal stopper member initially expels the first liquid from the distal chamber, then serially expels the second liquid from the proximal chamber.
Syringe
A syringe is provided, including a syringe barrel, a needle set and a push rod. A front end part is provided in the syringe barrel. An end of the needle set has an open area, the open area is transversely provided with a first snap part. The push rod is slidably disposed within the syringe barrel, and an end of the push rod facing the front end part has a second snap part. When the push rod is slidingly moved to the front end part, the second snap part is engaged with the first snap part.
INTRAVENOUS CATHETER DEVICE WITH SLIDING SAFETY MECHANISM
An intravenous catheter device can include a safety mechanism having a slider that couples to a catheter adapter and slides relative to a barrel. A needle hub can be contained within the barrel and can be retracted once a catheter has been inserted into the patient's vasculature. The retraction of the needle hub can be triggered by the sliding of the slider. The slider may also function to guard the distal tip of the needle once the needle hub is retracted within the barrel.
Air pump with retractable needle and/or method of making the same
Certain example embodiments relate to an air pump for balls, tires, toys, and/or the like and include a retractable base, which facilitates the storage of the needle(s) and/or other adapter(s) inside of the pump itself. This arrangement reduces the chances that it/they will break because it/they is/are protected inside of the pump and need not be repeatedly attached/detached. The pump in certain example embodiments includes a tube body into which the retractable base retracts, a plunger disk, a guide system including one or more guides for guiding the plunger disk and/or base within the tube body, a locking mechanism to help lock the base in extended and/or retracted positions, and a handle. The pump safely stores at least one needle/adapter in the tube body. In the event that a needle breaks, it may be replaced as if it were a conventional pump.
Injection syringe
A syringe provided with a body, a piston capable of sliding in the body, and an injection device comprising a needle oriented along a longitudinal axis and a casing removably secured to the body and carrying said needle. The casing comprising a plurality of flexible tabs, each provided with a stop. The piston comprising a docking system having a housing comprising a flange configured to hold the stops of the flexible tabs in the housing in an insertion position in which the tabs are inserted into the housing, the plurality of tabs in opposing areas around the longitudinal axis. The flange comprising bearing areas configured to be in contact with corresponding tabs in the insertion position. The tabs are configured to exert an elastic pressure on corresponding bearing areas in the insertion position, and the bearing areas are dissymmetrical relative to the longitudinal axis.
Implant injection device having a rack and pinion transmission
An implant injection device, including an injection needle, a receiver housing for receiving at least one implant, an injection mechanism, the injection mechanism including a pushing rod, arranged upstream from the at least one implant housed in the receiver housing, extending longitudinally and configured to push the at least one implant through the injection needle between an initial position and a final position in which the at least one implant is injected, a mechanism for actuation by a user, configured to actuate a displacement of the pushing rod from the initial position to the final position, the mechanism for actuation including a rack transmission mechanism.
Time Delay Mechanism for a Hydraulic Drug Delivery Device
A medicament delivery device may comprise a medicament chamber configured to hold a medicament, a plunger configured to move relative to the medicament chamber to expel the medicament from the medicament chamber, a pin configured to move from a first pin position wherein the pin prevents movement of the plunger to a second pin position wherein the pin allows movement of the plunger, an actuation assembly configured to move the pin from the first pin position to the second pin position, and a needle coupled to the medicament chamber. The medicament may flow through the needle from the medicament chamber to a user. The actuation assembly may be configured to automatically move the pin after a predetermined time delay.
NEEDLE SENSOR ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE OF SAME
The present invention is directed to a needle sensor assembly and a method of using same. The needle sensor assembly includes a needle sensor housed within the needle sensor assembly. The needle sensor assembly is configured to be attached to an injection device. When the needle sensor assembly is attached to the injection device, the needle sensor is configured to detect if a needle positioned for use in the injection device is misaligned, absent, or broken.
Protector Housing Plastic Spike with Flash Intended for DVO Last Drop Extraction
A device for transferring fluids in a closed system transfer device using flash for last drop extraction and to reduce coring. The device including a piercing member having a distal end and a proximal end and defining a longitudinal fluid channel. A first opening positioned at the distal end of the piercing member wherein the first opening is in fluid communication with the longitudinal fluid channel. A cover or flash positioned over the first opening. The cover including a pre-cut pattern wherein the cover opens along the pre-cut pattern upon application of a distally directed force from the longitudinal fluid channel. The distal end including the first opening having a steep taper to facilitate last drop extraction.
Injection device
An injection device, comprising an interface for mounting on a syringe body, the interface comprising an internal passage delimited by an inner wall, a needle and a sheath for receiving said needle, said sheath comprising an outer wall provided with a contact portion of said sheath in contact with an attachment portion of the inner wall of the interface, wherein the contact portion comprises a first bead and in that the attachment portion comprises a second bead, the first and second beads each forming a ring protruding respectively on the contact portion and the attachment portion, the first bead being in contact with the second bead.
