Drug delivery system and method of use
A drug delivery system is disclosed that includes a drug delivery device having a reservoir and a delivery cannula having a proximal end in fluid communication with the reservoir and a distal end to be received within a patient. The drug delivery system may further include one or more sensors coupled to the drug delivery device, a wireless transmitter, and a controller coupled to the one or more sensors and the wireless transmitter. The controller may be configured to use the one or more sensors to determine a condition or an operational state of the drug delivery device, and control the wireless transmitter to wirelessly transmit one or more reports representative of the condition or the operational state of the drug delivery device. A method for use with a drug delivery device is also disclosed.
SAFETY HOUSING BASED IMPLANT/MEDICAMENT INJECTING SYSTEM
A safety housing based implant/medicament injecting system. System includes a needle assembly prefilled implant/medicament for injection and an injecting needle/cannula, a housing for accommodating the needle assembly under usual bias inside said housing, a plunger means having a plunger rod configured for stage wise forward motion including an initial injecting plunger forward motion with the needle assembly within the housing to first engage the needle assembly with the housing and subsequent continuing injecting plunger forward motion independent of the needle assembly for injecting of the implant/medicament, and post injecting return of the needle assembly secured inside said housing blocking any subsequent use thereof.
Syringe with locking mechanism
A syringe including an injection syringe body and a syringe handle, configured to cooperate with one another in order to ensure a locking function between the injection syringe body and the syringe handle. The injection syringe body includes a longitudinal hub including at least one female or male retaining element, and a protective sheath moveable along said longitudinal hub and able to cover in a retracted position the at least one retaining element of the longitudinal hub. The syringe handle includes at least one male or female retaining element intended to cooperate with the at least one female or male retaining element of the longitudinal hub, ensuring a retaining function, the cooperation being named locking position. The syringe further includes at least one blocker, the at least one blocker ensuring a radial holding function when the retracted and the locking positions are both engaged.
ELECTRONIC MODULES FOR A SYRINGE
An injection monitoring device includes a syringe having a barrel configured to contain a medicament and a plunger configured to be displaced linearly into the interior of the barrel to dispense the medicament, a flange positioned between a proximal end and a distal end of the injection monitoring device and configured to be gripped during performance of the injection, and one or more force sensors positioned to detect data associated with an amount of force applied to the injection monitoring device during performance of an injection.
Method of Injecting Dihydroergotamine Into The Body
A method is provided for the acute treatment of migraine headaches with or without aura by injecting dihydroergotamine mesylate into a subject. The method includes storing the dihydroergotamine mesylate in an autoinjector at room temperature in a foil pouch. The method further includes removing the autoinjector from the pouch; removing a cap of the autoinjector; pushing the autoinjector down against an injection site of the subject to depress a safety guard; pressing and releasing an activation button on the autoinjector to start injection; and holding the autoinjector against the injection site for at least 10 seconds irrespective of whether a click is generated. The method further includes confirming that the injection is complete by viewing a change of color in a viewing window of the autoinjector, and lifting the autoinjector up away from the injection site and allowing the guard to drop down and lock over a needle.
Cap assembly for medicament delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a cap assembly for a medicament delivery device. The cap assembly comprises: a cap body arranged to be mounted to a proximal end of a medicament delivery device for protecting and for removing a medicament delivery member shield. The cap body has an inner cap structure defining a channel extending along the central axis of the cap body, and a gripping member configured to be received in the channel. The gripping member is radially flexible and has a first leg, a second leg, and a connecting portion extending between the first leg and the second leg. The first leg and the second leg each has a proximal portion that is radially flexible and extends distally from the connecting portion. Each proximal portion has an inclined section extending radially inwards in an axial direction away from the connecting portion. Each of the first leg and the second leg has a distal portion extending from the inclined section, the distal portions being radially flexible and extending radially outwards in an axial direction away from the proximal portions to allow the gripping member to receive a medicament delivery member shield between the distal portions.
