RESUSCITATION DOSING KIT
A kit for resuscitating a subject, particularly a neonatal patient, is described. In an embodiment, the kit includes a syringe having a tip defining a male Luer taper fitting, and an adaptor defining a first end portion shaped to couple with the male Luer taper fitting and a second end portion shaped to cooperatively couple with an opening of an endotracheal tube.
Pen needle assembly
A pen needle, comprising a reusable adapter configured for attachment to a distal end of a medication pen, the adapter having a proximal needle for accessing the interior of the pen injector and a fitting on the distal side for mating with a patient end needle assembly, and a disposable patient-end needle assembly having a base configured for mating with the fitting on the distal side of the adapter and a patient-end needle extending from a distal end of the base.
DOSING CONTROL COUPLING FOR ENTERAL FLUID TRANSFER AND ENTERAL COUPLINGS AND SYRINGES
An enteral dosing control coupling comprising a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber, the lumen extension tip defining an internal lumen extending therethrough. In example forms, the lumen extension tip is integrally formed with the cylindrical collar. In other example forms, the lumen extension tip is a separate piece and is removably engageable within the cylindrical collar. In some example forms, the present invention relates to syringes, connectors, couplings, etc. having ISO 80369-3 formatted couplings. In other example forms, the present invention relates to connectors, couplings, etc. for adapting coupling formats other than the ISO 80369-3 coupling format to the ISO 80369-3 coupling format.
Attachment for a syringe or carpule
An attachment for a syringe, carpule, or the like, includes a distal end and a terminal extension with an outer surface, a free end, and a depression introduced at a spacing into the outer surface. The attachment includes an annular base body and is placeable onto the extension. The base body encloses a free space into which the extension is introducible. The base body contains two materials a first material which is dimensionally stable and a second material which is softer than the first material and deformable. The base body has an engagement region, which engages into the depression. The extension is thus characterized in that the base body has, along an imaginary circumferential line, a first region with the first material and a second region containing the second material. The second material deforms into the depression in a placed-onto-the-extension state. The second material is embedded into the first material.
ANGLED INJECTION NOZZLE
An adapter for use with an injection device includes a first end, a second end and a first longitudinal axis extending from the first end and the second end. The adapter also includes a chamber defined by a sidewall between the first end and second end and a nozzle having a passageway extending through the sidewall, the passageway having an input at the chamber, an output at an outer surface of the body and a passageway axis extending from the input to the output, the passageway axis being angularly offset from the longitudinal axis of the channel. A cartridge can include such an adapter.
STABILIZATION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SOLUTION IN FILLED SYRINGES
Syringes and methods of preparing a stabilized hydrogen peroxide solution are described. A method includes filling a portion of a syringe with a hydrogen peroxide solution. The portion of the syringe may contact the hydrogen peroxide solution. The portion may be or include cycloolefin polymer (COP) or cycloolefin copolymer (COC). The method also includes storing the hydrogen peroxide solution in the syringe for a period of time. The hydrogen peroxide solution may be characterized by improved stability after the period of time relative to storing the hydrogen peroxide solution in a glass syringe for the period of time.
Syringe
A syringe is provided, including a syringe barrel, a needle set and a push rod. A front end part is provided in the syringe barrel. An end of the needle set has an open area, the open area is transversely provided with a first snap part. The push rod is slidably disposed within the syringe barrel, and an end of the push rod facing the front end part has a second snap part. When the push rod is slidingly moved to the front end part, the second snap part is engaged with the first snap part.
SYRINGE ADAPTER FOR MEDICATION
Improved apparatus for use with medication in fluid form, which is particularly beneficial for medications having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed syringe adapter has an opening that is relatively large, as compared to a conventional needle, and thus affixing the disclosed syringe adapter to a syringe improves syringeability of higher-viscosity medications. Some embodiments feature a lateral extension that prevents inserting the syringe adapter too far into a medicine bottle, and some embodiments feature a component that assists in firmly grasping. When the disclosed syringe adapter is affixed to a pistol-grip or tab-handled syringe, the medication withdrawn into the pistol-grip syringe can be more easily administered from the syringe barrel. In some embodiments, the syringe adapter will be replaced with a needle prior to injecting the medication, while in some other embodiments, the needle is affixed to the in-place syringe adapter for the injection.
Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device for administering a drug is presented having a body, at least one electrical unit and a port for electrically contacting the electrical unit, an adapter for attaching an injection needle to the drug delivery device, a safety mechanism arranged to prevent contacting the electrical unit whilst an injection needle is in fluid communication with the drug delivery device and arranged to prevent establishing a fluid communication whilst the electrical unit is contactable.
Needle storage magazine assembly
A magazine assembly (1) that stores a plurality of needles (56) configured to engage a medication pen (2) via an adapter (4) for medication delivery, the magazine assembly (1) comprising a magazine housing (20) enclosing a plurality of hub chambers (22) each enclosing one of a plurality of needle hubs (50), a connector (28) in each of the plurality of hub chambers (22), each connector (28) engages one of the plurality of needle hubs (50), and a plurality of enclosures (30) each sealing the plurality of hub chambers (22), wherein a selected enclosure of the plurality of enclosures (30) is removed to expose a selected needle hub (52) of the plurality of needle hubs (50), the adapter (4) attaches to the medication pen (2) to engage the selected needle hub (52) while disengaging the selected needle hub (52) from the hub chamber (22), and the selected needle hub (52) is removed from the magazine housing (20) to prepare the medication pen (2) for medication delivery.
