The invention relates to a frame furniture comprising a furniture element (14) being plate-shaped at least in some areas and having an at least partially nearly horizontal extension and being arranged on a carrier frame (18) which has a leg element (20A, 20B) on both sides, respectively, regarding a vertical furniture median plane, the leg element (20A, 20B) consisting of a tubular element bent in such a way that the tubular element forms a front and rear furniture leg (22A, 22B, 24A, 24B). The tubular elements each have an elliptical or oval cross section having a long major axis and a short minor axis, wherein the major axis and the minor axis intersect with the vertical furniture median plane over the length of the particular tubular element at an angle less than 90 .

Table with nesting table top

A table may be sized and configured to nest with another table to reduce a height of a plurality of stacked tables in a nested configuration. The table may include a table top with a receiving portion disposed at least proximate an intersection of an upper surface and a sidewall. The table top may also include a lip and a lower portion of the lip may include a contact surface that is sized and configured to contact an upper surface of an adjacent, nested table. The lower portion of the lip may also include an engaging portion that is sized and configured to be disposed in a receiving portion of an adjacent, nested table. The contact surface and the engaging portion may be directly adjacent to each other in the lower portion of the lip.

An article of furniture can include a latch mechanism. The latch mechanism can include an actuation mechanism having a housing that is moveable relative to a guide member from a first position to a second position, at least one detent mechanism comprising a first detent mechanism having a first detent member that is moveable from a first position to a second position, and an articulation mechanism positioned between the actuation mechanism and the first detent mechanism. The articulation mechanism can connect the first detent mechanism to the housing such that motion of the housing from the first position of the housing to the second position of the housing causes the first detent member to move from the first position of the first detent member to the second position of the first detent member.

A modular table comprising a main table body having a center portion, a mid-section which is disposed vertically underneath the main table body wherein the mid-section is adapted to provide vertical support to the main table body. An alternative embodiment of the table has a center portion of the main table body which is telescopically expandable allowing the mid-section to become vertically disposed. This telescopic expansion can be achieved using jack screws or rotatable mid-section. The table trunk is capable of housing a plurality of stools or chairs. The stools or chairs can be coupled together and, when placed end to end, provide a further base for the main table body due to a notch which is formed and which fits an extension which protrudes downwardly from the main table body. The main table body can also have a reversible table top which can be designed to be a gaming board or a bar top.

Locking member for a table leg

A table may be sized and configured to nest with an adjacent table to reduce a height of a plurality of stacked tables in a nested configuration. The table may include a table top with a round or circular configuration and the table top may have a receiving portion, a downwardly extending lip, a contact surface and an engaging portion. The contact surface may have a ring-shaped configuration and be sized and configured to contact an upper surface of a table top of an adjacent table when the table is nested with the adjacent table. The engaging portion may also have a ring-shaped configuration and may be sized and configured to be disposed in a receiving portion of a table top of the adjacent table when the table is nested with the adjacent table.

The invention discloses a pedestal apparatus for an article of furniture. The pedestal apparatus has an elongate post formation defining a first end and a second end and having a longitudinal axis. The post formation immovably supports a fixed foot arrangement and also movably supports a variable foot arrangement. The variable foot arrangement is selectively movable along and around the longitudinal axis for varying a longitudinal and angular proximity between the variable foot arrangement and the fixed foot arrangement. Biasing means are provided for controlling movement of the variable foot arrangement whereby, in use, the biasing means causes both the fixed foot arrangement and the variable foot arrangement to abut an underlying surface and thereby provide a substantial stabilization of the pedestal apparatus.
