Device for osteosyntheses or arthrodesis of two-bone parts, in particular of the hand and / or foot
In one embodiment, the present disclosure is a fixation device including a median zone, a first fixation zone including a base region extending from the median zone and an end region distant from the median zone, and including an expandable region in between the base region and the end region, the expandable region adapted to move between a closed position and an expanded position, wherein the first fixation zone is adapted to be positioned within a bone hole and, with the expandable region in the expanded position, the expandable region is positioned against bone surrounding the bone hole, and a second fixation zone including a base region extending from the median zone at a position different from the base region of the first fixation zone and an end region distant from the median zone.
Telescoping bone screw
A bone screw for treating a bone fracture having a detent assembly on a body portion thereof. The detent assembly includes a detent member that is movable between a first and second position. The detent assembly operative to secure the body whereby said plunger portion moves independent of said body. The bone screw may also include a plunger assembly having a plunger with a threaded portion and a plunger portion. The plunger portion is slidably disposed within a chamber of the body.
Telescoping Bone Screw
A bone screw for treating a bone fracture having a detent assembly on a body portion thereof. The detent assembly operative to secure the body from movement relative to a bone nail. The detent assembly includes a detent member, for example, an annular member, movable between a first and second position. Positioning the annular member in the second position operates to secure the body of the bone screw from movement relative to the bone nail.
Bone implant
A system and method for forming a hip implant offering minimal invasiveness is described. The system comprises means for positioning the implant under optical and X-ray control, an implant and an applicator for screwing and expanding the implant. The implant includes an insert body and an expansion tube with cut-outs and slits defining legs. The legs expand radially through windows in the insert body when the expansion tube is pushed against the sloped distal portion of the insert body. The expansion process may be ensured by using an anti-rotation device to prevent the insertion tube from rotating within the insert body. Applicator and implant are provided with means preventing cold welding during the implantation process.
STENT
A bioabsorable stent is disclosed. The stent is made of a polymer and/or non-polymer material and has an elongated body having a proximate end, a distal end, and at least one open channel formed on the exterior surface of the elongated body to provide fluid communication between the proximal end and the distal end. Also disclosed is a bioabsorable stent having an elongated center rod having a proximate end and a distal end and a plurality of leaflets extending outward from the center rod and forming channels between two neighboring leaflets to provide fluid communication between the proximal end and the distal end.
Systems and methods for intermedullary bone fixation
Systems and methods for intermedullary bone fracture fixation are described herein. The fixation device includes a main body having a flexible state and a rigid state. The fixation device further includes a proximal interface coupled to a proximal end of the main body to anchor the fixation device to an exterior surface of the bone and a distal interface coupled to a distal end of the main body to anchor the fixation device to an interior cavity of the bone. The fixation device further includes a locking interface to configured to convert the main body from the flexible state to the rigid state.
Osteosynthesis device
In one embodiment, the present invention includes an intramedullary osteosynthesis or arthrodesis implant including a central body, a first pair of legs extending from the central body to a pair of leg tips, and a second pair of legs extending from the central body, in a direction opposite the first pair of legs, to a pair of leg tips such that the central body, first pair of legs and second pair of legs are positioned alongside a longitudinal axis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ORTHOPEDIC REPAIR
According to some embodiments, an implant for correcting a deformity in or near a joint of a subject includes an implant body having an internal lumen, a suture side hole or window extending through a wall of the implant body and providing access to the internal lumen through an exterior of the implant body, a tension assembly comprising a first bone anchor and a second bone anchor, wherein the first and second bone anchors are configured to be placed on opposite sides of the implant body, and an adjustable suture loop coupling the first bone anchor to the second bone anchor, wherein at least a portion of the at least one adjustable suture loop is positioned within the internal lumen of the implant body.
STRIKE INSTRUMENT FOR INTRAMEDULLARY NAIL
In one embodiment, a strike instrument that couples to an insertion handle of an intramedullary nail has a shaft that extends along a shaft axis, and an abutment that extends outward relative to the shaft. The abutment is rotationally fixed to the shaft such that the shaft can rotate the abutment between a first orientation, where the abutment can be removed or inserted into the insertion handle, and a second orientation, where the abutment forms an interference with the insertion handle that prevents the abutment from being removed from the handle. The strike instrument includes a strike surface that can transfer an impaction force to the insertion handle, and a lock that engages the insertion handle so as to prevent the abutment from rotating from the second orientation to the first orientation after the abutment is rotated within the insertion handle from the first orientation to the second orientation.
