A short-stem femoral implant suitable for use in hip arthroplasty configured to self-stabilise against sliding across the endo-cortex when implanted in a subject's femur. The femoral implant includes a distal end configured to engage in abutment with the lateral endo-cortex of the subject's femur at two distal locations such that when implanted, the femoral implant has a reduced tendency for sliding across the endo-cortex.
Modular knee prothesis
Implant assemblies, systems, and methods for replacing a knee joint may include a method of revising a knee joint prosthesis implanted in a knee of a patient to provide increased stability to the knee joint prosthesis by replacing a first tibial insert with a second tibial insert that provides more constraint that the first tibial insert. A knee joint prosthesis system and kit are also provided that may include a tibial baseplate component, a femoral component, and a tibial insert that is selectively interchangeable with other tibial inserts to provide varying levels of constraint and stability to the knee joint prosthesis.
RESORBABLE IMPLANTS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF BONE DEFECTS
Devices to repair bone defects prevent the formation of depressions and palpable tissue at bone repair sites. The devices can be used to repair burr holes in the cranium, providing an improved cosmetic result that reduces or eliminates functional handicaps that can result from combing and hairdressing. The devices are secured in bone defects with filament elements, by expanding the device inside the bone defect, or by gluing. Tissue in-growth into the device regenerates bone at the defect site, and prevents the formation of depressions or palpable tissue. The devices preferably comprise a ceramic and poly-4-hydroxybutyrate or copolymer thereof, or a ceramic and poly(butylene succinate) or copolymer thereof.
Prosthetic spinal disc replacement and methods thereof
The present invention relates generally to a prosthetic spinal disc for replacing a damaged disc between two vertebrae of a spine and methods for inserting said discs. The intervertebral prosthetic discs are provided with connections for facilitating implantation and removal and features which enhance primary and secondary stability over time.
Spinal Implant System
A prosthesis for spinal surgery includes a spacer adapted to be secured into the bone and attached to one of a plurality of configuration plates. The configuration plates are interchangeable and each one is configured to utilize a different combination of bone screws, anchors or both. The prosthesis may further include a retaining mechanism to prevent bone screws and/or anchors from backing out.
Tapered fixation device for a knee replacement
A fixation device for a knee replacement. The fixation device includes a stem configured to be fixedly attached to one of a tibial component of the knee replacement and a femoral component of the knee replacement. The stem has a continuously tapered outer surface and has a distal end that is distal to said one of the tibial component and the femoral component. A tapered projection is positioned on the continuously tapered outer surface and is tapered in the same direction as the continuously tapered outer surface. The stem and the tapered projection are configured so that the continuously tapered outer surface and the tapered projection engage a patient's bone when the stem is inserted into a bone canal within the patient's bone. In addition, the continuously tapered outer surface of the stem at the distal end of the stem and the tapered projection are configured to mechanically fix the knee replacement to the patient's bone by being wedged within the bone canal.

Orthopedic implant with integrated core
Orthopedic implants constructs include one or two rigid monolithic plates and a core that is integrally formed within an interior space within a rigid monolithic plate. An exemplary construct that includes two plates between which is a core that is interengaged with each plate, the two plates thereby forming a generally disc-like shaped construct with opposing tissue contacting surfaces. The constructs are suitable, for example for spinal interbody fusion and artificial disc applications.
SELECTIVE TARGETED RELEASE
A spacer system replaces or substitutes for a medical implant in a patient. The system includes a housing comprising a shape similar to the medical implant; an aperture in the housing, a subcutaneous port configured to receive a medicament, the subcutaneous port being in fluid communication with the aperture; and at least one channel within the housing, wherein the at least one channel extends from the aperture to an exterior surface of the housing to equally distribute a material the medicament from the aperture through the at least one channel. The subcutaneous port is in fluid communication with the aperture through a catheter connecting the subcutaneous port to the aperture. The system may be used to replace a variety of medical implants, including a hip implant, an intramedullary nail, a pedicle screw, a knee implant, a sternum prosthesis, and a clavicle prosthesis, an ankle implant, shoulder implant, tibia implant, femur implant, humerus implant, spinal cage, external fixation pin, intercalary fusion device, talus implant, or a vertebral body implant.
Universal femoral trial system and methods
Implant assemblies, systems, kits, and methods for replacing a knee joint may include a universal femoral trial component for preparing and trialing a femoral bone of a patient to receive a plurality of different femoral implant types. The universal femoral trial component may be configured to receive any of a plurality of femoral bone preparation attachments and any of a plurality of femoral trial attachments in order to facilitate the preparation and trialing of the femoral bone to receive the plurality of different femoral implant types.
