Intervertebral spacer that dynamically promotes bone growth
A dynamic intervertebral spacer includes a ring which is split on an anterior portion. A posterior portion of the ring acts as a torsion spring. After implantation, the ring is able to act as a spring between superior and inferior vertebral bodies, thus allowing dynamic bone growth in fusion procedures.
ASYMMETRICALLY EXPANDABLE CAGE
The present disclosure describes an intervertebral implant having a laterovertically-expanding shell operable for a reversible expansion from a collapsed state into an expanded state, the laterovertically-expanding shell having one or more connectors, and a pair of lateral extension elements that function to laterally expand the footprint of the implant within an intervertebal disc space.
Reconstruction prosthesis
The disclosure relates to a reconstruction prosthesis including a main section, at least one serpentine structure, and at least one mount section. The at least one serpentine structure is connected to one end of the main section. The at least one mount section is connected to the main section via the at least one serpentine structure. The at least one mount section is configured to be connected to osseous tissue. When the at least one serpentine structure is deformed by force, the relative position of the main section and the at least one mount section is changed.
Monoblock expandable interbody implant
A unibody implant movable between an expanded position and a contracted position is disclosed. The unibody implant may include a unitary expandable body defined by an inferior portion and a superior portion that are connected together. In various embodiments, a set screw may be rotatably supported by the body and configured to move a plug having a first inclined surface facing the distal side. In various embodiments, the set screw may be movable in the longitudinal direction towards the distal side upon rotation of the set screw along the rotation axis, for example. In various embodiments, movement of the set screw urges the plug against the superior portion thereby expanding a vertical distance between the superior and inferior sides of the body. In some embodiments, the plug may include a stabilizing element configured to transfer compressive forces between the superior portion and inferior portion.
Surgical implant and related methods
The present disclosure describes an intervertebral implant having a laterovertically-expanding shell operable for a reversible expansion from a collapsed state into an expanded state, the laterovertically-expanding shell having a guide element, one or more connectors, and a pair of lateral extension elements that function to laterally expand the footprint of the implant within an intervertebal disc space.
Dynamic Disc Assembly
A dynamic disc assembly has a superior end plate, an inferior end plate, and a core. The core has surfaces of an annular Fresnel shape and a linear Fresnel-like shape combined to control the dynamic range of motion (ROM) movement arranged to match anatomical ROM. The core is interposed between and held against interior surfaces of the superior end plate and the inferior end plate. The assembly further has a pair of coupling cords, one coupling cord at each lateral end of the superior and inferior end plates wherein each lateral end of each end plate has one or more cord connections attached and affixed to the coupling cord to form and retain the dynamic disc assembly.
Stemless Metaphyseal Humeral Implant
A stemless prosthetic shoulder joint may include a prosthetic humeral head and a stemless base. The stemless base may include a collar and an anchor extending from the collar intended to anchor the base into the proximal humerus. The base may include a proximal collar having a proximal surface and a bone-engaging surface opposite the proximal surface. The collar may have a superior portion and an inferior portion, the superior portion defining an arc shape and the inferior portion defining a substantially triangular shape.
Implant with bone contacting elements having helical and undulating planar geometries
An implant including a first body member and a second body member and a first bone contacting element extending from the first body member to the second body member. The first bone contacting element may have a spiral configuration forming a plurality of arched members including at least two arched members extending substantially parallel to and offset with respect to one another.
