EXPANDABLE SPINAL CAGE ASSEMBLIES FOR SUPPORTING BONE STRUCTURES
20180318107 · 2018-11-08 ·

A spinal implant for placement between first and second vertebrae includes a housing having first and second axial end surfaces and a bore extending along an axis through the housing and between the end surfaces. A first projection extends at least partially about the axis and including a channel. A lift is slidably received in the bore and includes threads along its length. A collar is threadably engaged with the lift and extends into the channel on the housing such that the projection prevents axial movement of the collar relative to the housing. Rotation of the collar about the axis causes the lift to move axially relative to the collar and the housing for adjusting the height of the implant.

The bionic dislocation-proof artificial lumbar vertebrae and disc complex comprises vertebral body components, intervertebral disc components and screws; the vertebral body components comprise an oval column; the intervertebral disc components comprise L-shaped arc plates and composite pads, the L-shaped arc plates comprise bottom plates, lateral plate and the raised column; end of the raised column is the ball shell with two raised arc; the composite pad is connected to the groove on the oval column; the ball shell and the composite ball form the ball and socket joint. The present invention replaces the removed vertebrae and adjacent discs and maintains the rotation, flexion and extension and buffer function, which ensures the stability and mobility of the lumbar spine after surgery. The present invention better resembles the normal physiology.

Spinal intervertebral implant

An implant to be surgically positioned between two adjacent vertebrae made of a biocompatible material having two distinct areas of geometrya front/anterior distracting portion and a second stabilizing back end/posterior portion. The device is inserted into the disc space on its sidein a first positionup until a point and then the device is rotated 90 degrees along a z-axisinto a second positionand then pushed the remainder of the way into the disc space. As viewed from the bottom of the device (in the second positionthe position of the implant after rotation, the device is L-shaped, about L-shaped, or an angled dual leg configuration. A base member forms an angle anywhere between 30 to 150 degrees with a connected extended member.

VERTEBRAL JOINT IMPLANTS AND DELIVERY TOOLS

A spinal joint distraction system for treating a facet joint including articular surfaces having a contour is disclosed and may include a delivery device including a generally tubular structure adapted to engage a facet joint, an implant adapted to be delivered through the delivery device and into the facet joint, the implant comprising two members arranged in opposed position, and an implant distractor comprising a generally elongate member adapted to advance between the two members of the implant causing separation of the members and distraction of the facet joint, wherein the implant is adapted to conform to the shape of the implant distractor and/or the articular surfaces of the facet upon being delivered to the facet joint. Several embodiments of a system, several embodiments of an implant, and several methods are disclosed including a method for interbody fusion.

FACET JOINT REPLACEMENT DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
20180161074 · 2018-06-14 ·

A facet joint replacement device includes an enclosing element including an enclosing body and an inferior attachment member. The enclosing body includes an inner cavity defined by an interior surface of the enclosing body, wherein a portion of the interior surface of the enclosing body forms a superior articulating surface. The facet joint replacement device also includes an inferior articulating element including an articulating body and a superior attachment member. The inferior articulating body is positioned within the inner cavity of the enclosing body of the enclosing element and is configured to move within the inner cavity of the enclosing body of the enclosing element. The inferior articulating body includes an inferior articulating surface. The movement of the articulating body of the inferior articulating element is constrained in at least one direction within the inner cavity of the enclosing body of the enclosing element.

IMPLANT AND METHOD FOR POSTERIOR SACROILIAC FUSION

An implant and method for posterior sacroiliac fusion having a plate for placement across the posterior surface of the sacroiliac joint, a transverse pin to slide through the plate and transverse the joint as well as provide an aperture to receive bone graft, and a sacral screw to be inserted through the plate.

EXPANDABLE SPINAL IMPLANT SYSTEM WITH A BIASED TIP AND METHOD OF USING SAME

An expandable spinal implant includes a distal projection extending from only one side of the implant, ending in an anterior tip, the anterior portion and anterior tip defining an elongated distal end hook, which is wider than the proximal end. The distal end hook rotates around the spinal cord, aligning the implant with a desired pathway, then inserts into place in the disc space between the vertebrae. The elongated widened distal end hook provides a TLIF approach, distributes loads, provides anterior rim engagement, and creates lordosis.

Facet joint replacement device and methods of use

A facet joint replacement system includes a facet joint replacement device including an enclosing body and an articulating body. The enclosing body includes an interior surface defining an inner cavity of the enclosing body. The interior surface includes a first articulating surface and a projection extending inwardly relative to a surrounding area of the interior surface. The articulating body is positioned within the inner cavity of the enclosing body and is configured to move within the enclosing body. The articulating body includes a second articulating surface and a recess extending inwardly relative to a surrounding area of the articulating body and aligned with the projection of the interior surface of the enclosing body so as to allow movement of the projection along the recess of the enclosing body while constraining rotational motion of the articulating body within the enclosing body.

Expandable inter vertebral cage

A method and system for performing bone fusion and/or securing one or more bones, such as adjacent vertebra, are disclosed.

INTERVERTEBRAL IMPLANT WITH INTEGRATED FIXATION

A system for spinal surgery includes a prosthesis comprising a plurality of bone anchors which engage an intervertebral construct for fusion or motion preservation. The fusion construct comprises a spacer optionally encircled by a jacket. The motion preservation construct may comprise an articulating disc assembly or an elastomeric disc assembly. Any of the constructs may occupy the intervertebral disc space between adjacent vertebrae after removal of an intervertebral disc. The anchors slidingly engage the construct to securely fix the prosthesis to the vertebrae. The anchors and jacket of the fusion construct provide a continuous load path across opposite sides of the prosthesis so as to resist antagonistic motions of the spine.
