Modular interbody fusion device
A modular anterior lumbar interbody fusion device comprises a monolithic interbody fusion cage and a modular plate resiliently attached thereto. The cage includes an open architecture with top and bottom cross members and a pair of opposing arms projecting from respective side structures of the cage to define a pocket at the cage anterior end. The modular plate is received in the pocket and attached to the cage by resilient latches. The plate lies fully within the profile of the cage with the resilient latches lying fully within the thickness of the plate. The plate provides a structure to close the anterior portion of the modular cage after introduction of bone graft material while allowing for use with integrated fixation. Attachment features between the monolithic cage and modular plate are universal allowing for selection of various modular device configurations with minimal components.
INTERVERTEBRAL SPINAL IMPLANT
An intervertebral implant for implantation in an intervertebral space between vertebrae. The implant includes a body extending from an upper surface to a lower surface. The body has a front end, a rear end and a pair of spaced apart first and second side walls extending between the front and rear walls such that an internal chamber is defined within the front and rear ends and the first and second walls. The body defines an outer perimeter and an inner perimeter extending about the internal chamber. At least one of the side walls is defined by an integral porous structure which extends from the outer perimeter to the inner perimeter. The at least one of the side walls is free of vertical solid support structure between the upper and lower surface.

LATERALLY INSERTABLE INTERVERTEBRAL SPINAL IMPLANT
An intervertebral implant for implantation in an intervertebral space between vertebrae. The implant includes a body having a front end, a rear end and a pair of spaced apart first and second side walls extending between the front and rear ends. The front and rear ends extend in a transverse direction and a central axis of the body extends from the rear end to the front end. The rear end defines a first fastener hole having a first central axis and a second fastener hole having a second central axis. The first and second central axes extend parallel to one another at an acute angle relative to the body central axis in the transverse direction.
COMPOUND-ARC, SPLINED ANCHOR
An intervertebral implant includes a body and a plate. The body has an upper surface defining an upper plane and a lower surface defining a lower plane. First and second fastener holes of the plate are configured to retain the heads of first and second fasteners. A portion of each of the shanks of the first and second fasteners extends from the first and second fastener holes beyond the upper plane. The shank portions of the first and second fasteners are curved in a direction away from the upper surface. The third fastener hole is configured to retain the head of the third fastener between the upper and lower planes. A portion of the shank of the third fastener extends from the third fastener hole beyond the lower plane. The shank portion of the third fastener is curved in a direction away from the lower surface.
INTERVERTEBRAL FUSION CAGE
An intervertebral fusion cage for the fusion of two vertebral bodies of the vertebral column comprises a first portion and a second portion opposite the first, both having a planar conformation axially elongated along a central axis. The first and the second portion have respective contact surfaces for receiving, in abutment, a respective vertebral body. The cage can also comprise a gripping area for connection with a positioning device. The first and the second portion are hinged to each other along a hinge axis so as to be able to rotate relatively in relation to each other with a continuous movement.
Carbon fiber composite artificial bone and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses a carbon fiber composite artificial bone and a preparation method thereof. The artificial bone includes a carbon fiber composite spring-like frame or includes a carbon fiber composite spring-like frame and a carbon fiber composite plate dowel, and the carbon fiber composite plate dowel is inserted into one end or both ends of a cavity of the spring-like frame or penetrates through the cavity of the carbon fiber composite spring-like frame. The preparation method includes: preparing a spring-like carbon fiber preform through a weaving technology by using carbon fibers as a raw material, performing densification and high-temperature purification treatment and preparing a wear-resistant coating to obtain the carbon fiber composite spring-like frame; and combining the carbon fiber composite spring-like frame with the carbon fiber composite plate bowel to obtain the artificial bone.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY STIMULATING BONE GROWTH
A system and method for electrical stimulation in an orthopedic implant that includes at least one implantable component with an implant body, a plurality of electrodes, and implant circuitry is effective to convert an external wireless power transmission to an electrical current and effective to control the plurality of electrodes; and at least one non-implant with a power source, and transmitter circuitry to generate the electromagnetic field that couples with the implant circuitry.
