BONE IMPLANT
A bone implant includes a main body in the form of a hollow body open on both sides in the axial direction. The main body includes a load-bearing material. An encasing body at least partially encases the main body on the outside and includes an in vivo degradable/in vivo resorbable material. Alternatively, the encasing body includes a multiplicity of shaped bodies protruding from the main body in the radial direction that include an in vivo degradable/in vivo resorbable material. A method for producing the bone implant includes an additive manufacturing process. The main body can be at least partially encased by the encasing body in the additive manufacturing process.
BONE FUSION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bone fusion method, system and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together in order to replace degenerated discs and/or bones, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device comprises a frame and one or more extendable plates that are able to be angled, rotatable, adjustable, and have top profiles designed to correct and/or match the replaced discs/bones. The bone fusion device is able to be inserted between or replace the vertebrae by using a minimally invasive procedure wherein the dimensions and/or other characteristics of the bone fusion device are selectable based on the type of minimally invasive procedure.
VERTEBRAL BODY REPLACEMENT
The present invention involves a system and methods for assembling and implanting a vertebral body implant. The vertebral body implant includes, but is not necessarily limited to, an expandable core body and endplates that can be attached at both ends. End plates of various shapes, sizes and angles are attachable to the expandable core in a plurality of positions so that a suitable vertebral body implant can be implanted between vertebrae from an anterior, anterior-lateral, lateral, posterior or posterior-lateral approach.
VERTEBRAL IMPLANTS AND METHODS FOR INSTALLATION THEREOF
Embodiments herein are generally directed to vertebral implants and implant trials for use with vertebral implant assemblies. In some embodiments, these implants and implant trials may be used in conjunction with corpectomy procedures.
Rigid segmented flexible anchors
A prosthetic implant replaces hyaline cartilage in a synovial joint with a flexible polymer sliding surface, preferably of hydrogel, on a segmented support with an array of adjacent segments to which the hydrogel is molded. Adjacent segments are laterally and angularly displaceable permitting the implant to conform to rounded or irregular surfaces or to be rolled or folded for arthroscopic placement. Tension cables threaded through segments along a circuit can cinch segments together for stiffening the supporting layer and/or the cable can pull the implant against a bone surface. Adjacent segments can have inter-engaged structures. In some embodiments the segments are carried on a flexible foil or fibrous sheet.
HUMERAL REPAIR IMPLANT
The present disclosure envisages a humeral repair implant for repair of a fracture of the proximal humerus. The implant comprises a hollow body, a conical section, and an operative lower section. The hollow body is open at both ends. The conical section is configured at its top portion. The operative lower section is extending downwards from the conical section. A plurality of perforations is defined in the conical section. The perforations are configured to communicate between the inside and outside of the conical section.
PEDICLE-BASED INTRADISCAL FIXATION
Pedicle-based intradiscal fixation devices, systems, instruments, and methods thereof. A pedicle-based intradiscal implant for stabilizing an inferior vertebra and a superior vertebra may include a bendable rod configured to engage bone, a bone fastener defining a channel for receiving the bendable rod, and a locking cap for securing the bone fastener and the bendable rod. The implant may be positioned through a pedicle of an inferior vertebra and the bendable rod may be deployable into the vertebral body of the inferior vertebra, through the disc space, and into the vertebral body of the superior vertebra to stabilize the spine.
Devices for tissue augmentation
Devices, method to produce devices and methods to perform bone augmentation using a bag having two membranes on one side and one membrane on the other side which is preferably perforated. The bag can be filled with bone augmenting material. The bag can be used in the jaws while placing the side with the one membrane towards the jaw bone and the side with the two membranes towards the gingiva.
CLASSIFICATION OF NUCLEIC ACID TEMPLATES
Methods, compositions, and systems are provided for characterization of modified nucleic acids. In certain preferred embodiments, single molecule sequencing methods are provided for identification of modified nucleotides within nucleic acid sequences. Modifications detectable by the methods provided herein include chemically modified bases, enzymatically modified bases, abasic sites, non-natural bases, secondary structures, and agents bound to a template nucleic acid.
DEMINERALIZED BONE FIBER IMPLANT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ROTATOR CUFF AND ACL REPAIR
A composition and methods of making or use thereof include a plurality of fibers forming a shape for augmenting tendon to bone repair. The physical presence of the plurality of fibers provides initial fixation, while the use of an osteoinductive material provides long term enhancement of bone formation around the site of the tendon to bone repair.
