The prosthetic component (2) further comprises a main body (6) with a contact surface (7) configured to abut the spacing element and a fixation mechanism (9) for fixing the spacing element between the contact surface (7) and the bone.

The fixation mechanism (9) comprises a receiving portion (10) located at the contact surface (7). The fixation mechanism (9) further comprises an insert (11) for insertion into the receiving portion (10) and a fastening element adapted to engage with the insert (11). The receiving portion (10) is adapted to fix the insert (11) via a bayonet joint connection such that the fastening element, extending through the spacing element and engaging with the insert (11), fixes the spacing element to the contact surface (7).

A glenoid implant system may include a main body formed of a polymer, a base, and an anchor formed of metal. The main body may define an articulating surface and an opposite bone-contacting surface. The base may be formed in the bone-contacting surface of the main body, the base including a hole formed therein. The anchor may have a main section and a threaded post extending from the main section. The anchor may include a plurality of ribs extending in a longitudinal direction of the main section, the plurality of ribs being spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction of the main section. The anchor may further include a plurality of wedges disposed on a base of the anchor, the plurality of wedges adapted to contact the base formed in the bone-contacting surface of the main body when the threaded post is received within the threaded hole.

Orthopaedic prosthetic system for a rotating hinged-knee prosthesis

An orthopaedic prosthesis includes a femoral component configured to be attached to a distal end of a patient's femur. A tibial tray is configured to be attached to a proximal end of a patient's tibia. A tibial insert is configured to rotate relative to the tibial tray. A modular insert is received in a cavity defined in the tibial insert. The femoral component is rotatably coupled to the body of the modular insert.

MOMENT INDUCED TOTAL ARTHROPLASTY PROSTHETIC

A prosthetic total knee replacement system comprises a distal femoral implant component, a tibial tray implant component and a fixed bearing tibial tray insert. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert is fixed to the tibial tray and articulates with the distal femoral implant component. The fixed bearing tibial tray insert component has a medial-lateral centerline and a stabilizing post. The stabilizing post has a medial-lateral centerline offset laterally from the medial-lateral centerline of the fixed bearing tibial tray insert.

ORTHOPAEDIC FIXATION ASSEMBLY, SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USE
20210137563 · 2021-05-13 · ·

An orthopaedic fixation assembly for prosthetic biologic attachment. The orthopaedic fixation assembly may include a main body with a longitudinally-extending stem having a proximal end, a distal end, and a cavity body. An anchor plug may be configured to be received within the stem cavity, and securable thereto via complementary mating surfaces. A spindle structure may be fixedly attached to the proximal end of the longitudinally-extending stem and protrude outwardly therefrom such that a portion of the structure extends externally beyond the resected cavity of the bone that may prevent rotational motion of the spindle. The spindle structure may have at least one compliant biasing member configured to apply a compressive force to the surrounding bone. A porous coating may be at the juncture between stem and spindle structure, on the spindle, and the splines and anti-rotation chocks, improving the initial stability of the implant and facilitating long-term bone ingrowth.

VERTEBRAL BODY IMPLANT

The disclosure relates to a vertebral body implant including a flexible main body and at least one pedicle screw joint. The flexible main body is an integrally formed single piece having at least one joint-accommodating hole and at least one opening connected to the at least one joint-accommodating hole. The pedicle screw joint is an integrally formed single piece movably accommodated in the at least one joint-accommodating hole.

REVERSE SHOULDER PROSTHESIS

Implant assemblies for reverse shoulder arthroplasty are disclosed. In one embodiment, the implant assembly comprises a humeral component, an adaptor fixed to the neck of the humeral component, and a glenosphere bearing component coupled to the adaptor. The glenosphere bearing component comprises a first bearing surface that interfaces with an articulating surface of the adaptor to allow the adaptor to rotate relative to the adaptor and humeral component. The adaptor and the glenosphere bearing component form a locking mechanism that prevents the adaptor from decoupling from the glenosphere bearing component while allowing the adaptor to remain rotatable relative to the glenosphere bearing component after the implant assembly is implanted in the patient The second bearing surface is configured to interface with a glenosphere component to allow the glenosphere bearing component to articulate relative to the glenosphere component.

MULTI-SECTION EXPANDABLE DEVICE
20210137695 · 2021-05-13 ·

A multi-section expandable device includes an expansion module, a first push member and a second push member disposed at front and rear ends of the expansion module, and a bolt screwedly connected to the first and second push members. When the bolt is tightened, the first push member and the second push member are pushed to approach each other so as to push the expansion module to generate a first-stage expansion and a second-stage expansion. The first-stage expansion enables the expansion module to expand laterally so as to adjust its width. The second-stage expansion is performed after the expansion module is laterally expanded to have a maximum width, so that the expansion module is longitudinally expanded to adjust its height. The multi-section expandable device not only has better support effect, but also avoids the wear of the contact surfaces of the vertebrae.
