PATIENT SPECIFIC STEMLESS PROSTHESIS ANCHOR COMPONENTS

A prosthesis assembly including a base member that has a helical structure and one or more pathways. The helical structure extends between a first end and a second end. The pathway is accessible from the second end and is directed toward the first end through the helical structure. The pathway is located inward of an outer periphery of the helical structure. The pathway extends in a space between successive portions of the helical structure. The prosthesis assembly includes a locking device that has a support member and an arm that projects away from the support member. The arm is configured to be disposed in the pathway when the support member is disposed adjacent to the second end of the base member. The arm is disposed through bone in the space between successive portions of the helical structure when the prosthesis assembly is implanted.

Femoral implant

A method comprising cutting a channel through a femoral neck and into a femoral head of a femur, and inserting a femoral implant within the channel such that a porous portion of the femoral implant is positioned within the femoral head and a resorbable portion of the femoral implant is positioned within the femoral neck, the porous portion being coupled to the resorbable portion and extending therefrom along a longitudinal axis of the femoral implant, the resorbable portion having a cross-sectional area defined in a plane extending transverse to a longitudinal axis of the femoral implant, the cross-sectional area of the resorbable portion consisting essentially of a resorbable material.

An expandable medical implant is provided with an implantable cage body. Methods for stabilizing and correcting the alignment of a spine with an expandable medical implant are provided. The proximal and distal ends of the cage body may each be provided with a plug for causing expansion of the ends of the implant and therefore the bone engaging surfaces of the implant. The proximal plug member may be configured to move longitudinally such that the proximal end of the cage body resiliently expands. The distal plug member may be configured to move longitudinally such that the distal end of the cage body resiliently expands. The proximal and distal plug members are moved longitudinally independently from one another to allow for independent expansion and contraction of each of the proximal and distal ends of the cage body itself.

Revision implant augments, systems, and methods

A revision implant component comprising a body having a plurality of screw holes and a tapered head configured to engage a talar dome component of a multi-component ankle prosthesis. A surgical method is disclosed which includes creating an incision in a patient, exposing a multi-component ankle prosthesis implanted in a patient, disassembling at least one component of the multi-component ankle prosthesis, affixing a revision implant component to non-damaged bone using screws, and coupling the revision implant component to a talar dome of the multi-component ankle prosthesis.

EXPANDABLE INTERBODY DEVICE

An expandable interbody device for placement between adjacent vertebrae having an upper structure, a lower structure and a screw mechanism, wherein actuation of the screw mechanism moves the upper and lower structures between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. A deployment tool couples to the expandable interbody device for positioning the device between adjacent vertebrae, actuating the screw mechanism and delivering a material to a chamber of the expandable interbody device.

HUMERAL IMPLANT ANCHOR SYSTEM

A stemless humeral shoulder assembly having a base member and an anchor advanceable into the base member. The base member can include a distal end that can be embedded in bone and a proximal end that can be disposed at a bone surface. The base member can also have a plurality of spaced apart arms projecting from the proximal end to the distal end. The anchor can project circumferentially into the arms and into a space between the arms. When the anchor is advanced into the base member, the anchor can be exposed between the arms. A recess can project distally from a proximal end of the anchor to within the base member. The recess can receive a mounting member of an anatomical or reverse joint interface.

Stemless prosthesis anchor component

A shoulder assembly is provided which includes a base member including a collar; a helical structure extending from the collar in a distal direction; and a first pathway projecting distally of the collar and through the helical structure adjacent to an inner periphery thereof, the first pathway being generally transverse to the helical structure and extending in a space between successive portions of the helical structure; and a locking device comprising a proximal support and a first arm projecting distally of the proximal support, the first arm configured to be disposed in the first pathway projecting distally of the collar when the proximal support is disposed adjacent to the collar; where the first arm is disposed through bone in the space between successive portions of the helical structure when the shoulder assembly is implanted.
