An expandable medical implant is provided with an implantable cage body. Methods for stabilizing and correcting the alignment of a spine with an expandable medical implant are provided. The proximal and distal ends of the cage body may each be provided with a plug for causing expansion of the ends of the implant and therefore the bone engaging surfaces of the implant. The proximal plug member may be configured to move longitudinally such that the proximal end of the cage body resiliently expands. The distal plug member may be configured to move longitudinally such that the distal end of the cage body resiliently expands. The proximal and distal plug members are moved longitudinally independently from one another to allow for independent expansion and contraction of each of the proximal and distal ends of the cage body itself.

Expandable interbody device

An expandable interbody device for placement between adjacent vertebrae having an upper structure, a lower structure and a screw mechanism, wherein actuation of the screw mechanism moves the upper and lower structures between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. A deployment tool couples to the expandable interbody device for positioning the device between adjacent vertebrae, actuating the screw mechanism and delivering a material to a chamber of the expandable interbody device.

STEMLESS PROSTHESIS ANCHOR COMPONENT

A shoulder assembly is provided which includes a base member including a collar; a helical structure extending from the collar in a distal direction; and a first pathway projecting distally of the collar and through the helical structure adjacent to an inner periphery thereof, the first pathway being generally transverse to the helical structure and extending in a space between successive portions of the helical structure; and a locking device comprising a proximal support and a first arm projecting distally of the proximal support, the first arm configured to be disposed in the first pathway projecting distally of the collar when the proximal support is disposed adjacent to the collar; where the first arm is disposed through bone in the space between successive portions of the helical structure when the shoulder assembly is implanted.
