Load compensator for height adjustable table
09826825 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A table assembly comprising at least one leg assembly including a first elongated member having a length dimension parallel to a substantially vertical extension axis and at least one second elongated member supported by the first member for sliding motion along the extension axis between extended and retracted positions, a load compensator including a spring having first and second ends supported by the second elongated member and operatively coupled to the first elongated member, respectively, a table top supported by the second member and a locking assembly including a lock housing supported by the leg assembly and forming a lock housing passageway that passes there through, a first coupler supported by the leg assembly and including at least an elongated central portion that extends through the lock housing passageway and a locking member moveable between a locked position wherein the locking member is operably linked to the first coupler to restrict movement and an unlocked position wherein the locking member is de-linked from the first coupler.

Height adjustable table

A height-adjustable table includes a frame supporting a work surface; a pair of lower legs supporting the frame; a pulley mechanism coupling the frame and the lower legs for vertically moving the frame relative to the lower legs; and a spring located within a passage extending through the frame. The spring has a fixed end secured to the frame and a movable end movable relative to the frame over a first distance for exerting a force over the first distance. The table further includes a block-and-tackle assembly located within the passage. The block-and-tackle assembly couples the movable end of the spring to the pulley mechanism for transferring the force exerted by the spring over the first distance to vertical movement of the frame relative to the lower legs over a second distance greater than the first distance.

A portable desk apparatus that allows a user to enjoy a complete office experience is provided for. In a preferred embodiment, the portable desk is comprised of a separably attached desk portion and seat portion. The desk portion is preferably constructed out of a desk member, a slip light, a foldable cup holder, a desk support member, a desk attachment mechanism, a desk extension member, and at least one ground support member. The chair portion is preferably constructed out of a seat member, two pairs of legs equipped with two support members, and a foldable seat back member. The entire apparatus may be collapsed for each transportation or storage, and may be extended to be used as an office.

Portable Adjustable Desk System

A collapsible desk system including a first and second elongate members, a seat, a diagonal support member, a column, a pivot assembly, and a desk top is provided. The first and second elongate members have a common central pivot, and are pivotal relative to one another in a scissor-like manner. Each elongate member has a support member for resting on an underlying surface and an end. The seat is attached to the end of the first elongate member. The diagonal support member is cooperable with the first and second elongate members to selectively retain the elongate members in one or more crossed orientations. The column has upper and lower ends. The lower end is pivotally attached to the end of the second elongate member.
