A novel workstation which incorporates an acoustical dome for increased acoustic and visual privacy for the user. The workstation further is adjustable in height such that it can accommodate a range of users from the 5.sup.th percentile seated female to the 95.sup.th percentile standing male according to the dictates of ANSI/HFES100-2007 national ergonomic standard. The workstation is further designed to be in electrical and data communication with other workstations to optimize the workstation density in an open working environment without compromising user privacy.

A picnic table includes a table panel, one or more bench panels and a supporting frame to support the table and bench panels. The supporting frame includes first and second supporting assemblies, each including a table support and one or more bench supports. The supporting frame further includes a table frame and one or more bench frames. The table frame rotatably connects the table support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies with the table panel. Each bench frame rotatably connects a bench support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies with a bench panel. The table support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies is adjustable in length. Adjusting the length of the table support changes the height of the table panel with respect to the one or more bench panels.

The supporting frame includes first and second supporting assemblies, each including a table support and one or more bench supports. The supporting frame further includes a table frame and one or more bench frames. Each bench frame rotatably connects a bench support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies with a bench panel. The table support of each of the first and second supporting assemblies is adjustable in length. Adjusting the length of the table support changes the height of the table panel with respect to the one or more bench panels.

A workstation and furniture combination is provided. The combination is enabled with height adjustability of a top surface and via a concealed power source that also provides concealed charging of electrical devices. Moreover, a dropdown drawer coupled below the display surface of the furniture affords a worksurface for the electrical device when the present invention is in the workstation mode.

A portable standing desk configured for use in at least a storage position and a first use position includes a first and second tray portion, and an end cap. The first tray portion can have a main body including a first plurality of fingers, a first plurality of landing surfaces, first hinge posts and first guide arms. The first tray portion has a first working surface and a first inside surface. The second tray portion has a main body including a second plurality of fingers, a second plurality of landing surfaces, second hinge posts and second guide arms. An actuated, height adjustable optical table or workstation for use in microscopy, optical research laboratories and similar environments includes fixed and moving parts which combine to create a rigid, height adjustable table structure on which to mount an optical breadboard or similar platforms via optional passive or active vibration isolation mounts. The height adjustment is performed by multiple compact actuators with associated control hardware and software, and allows the user or an application system to perform activities with the table at any heights.

An automatic height adjustment system includes an adjustable desk frame, a first drive assembly operable to control a height of the adjustable desk frame, an adjustable monitor mount, a second drive assembly operable to control a viewing height of the adjustable monitor mount, a transceiver, and a first controller communicatively coupled to the first drive assembly and to the transceiver. The first controller is configured to receive, via the transceiver, a first communication based on the detection of a position of a user from a computing device and to transmit, via the transceiver, a second communication to the first drive assembly to control the height of the adjustable desk frame and movement of the adjustable desk frame and the adjustable monitor mount are synchronized such that an adjustment of the height of the adjustable desk frame causes a corresponding adjustment of the viewing height of the adjustable monitor mount.
