A veterinary hip resurfacing prosthetic system includes a femoral cap and an acetabular cup. The cup shell has a thickness of less than 2 mm and a liner in the shell has a thickness of less than 2.5 mm in order to accommodate a larger femoral cap. Further included are features for preventing rotation of the liner relative to the shell, for releasably locking the liner in the shell, and for accessing the liner to remove it from the shell.

Prophylactic bactericidal medical device

A medical implant system is described for inhibiting infection associated with a joint prosthesis implant. An inventive system includes an implant body made of a biocompatible material which has a metal component disposed on an external surface of the implant body. A current is allowed to flow to the metal component, stimulating release of metal ions toxic to microbes, such as bacteria, protozoa, fungi, and viruses. One detailed system is completely surgically implantable in the patient such that no part of the system is external to the patient while the system is in use. In addition, externally controlled devices are provided which allow for modulation of implanted components.

Intervertebral implants, systems, and methods of use

An intervertebral implant frame that is configured to be attached to a spacer body can include a pair of arms that extend longitudinally from a support member such that the arms extend substantially around the spacer body. The arms may be configured to expand, crimp, or otherwise engage the spacer body to thereby hold the spacer body to the frame. The spacer body may be made from bone graft.

Low profile plate

The present application generally relates to orthopedic systems, and in particular, to systems including independent plates and spacers. A plating system can include a spacer and a plate that is independent from the spacer. A number of locking mechanisms can be provided to secure the plate to the spacer. In some cases, the spacer includes a pair of notches that extend on an outer surface of the spacer. The plate can include a pair of lateral extensions that can engage the notches to secure the plate to the spacer. In other cases, the spacer includes an opening including a pair of inlets. The plate can include an enclosed posterior extension that can be received in the pair of inlets to secure the plate to the spacer.

A tunable implant, system, and method enables a tunable implant to be adjusted within a patient. The tunable implant includes a securing mechanism to secure the implant in the patient, a actuation portion that enables the implant to move and an adjustment portion that permits adjustment of the implant after the implant has been positioned within the patient. The method of adjusting the tunable implant includes analyzing the operation of the implant, determining if any adjustments are necessary and adjusting the implant to improve implant performance. The implant system includes both the tunable implant and a telemetric system that is operable to telemetrically receive data from the tunable implant where the data is used to determine if adjustment of the tunable implant is necessary. The system also includes an instrument assembly that is used for performing spinal surgery where the instrument assembly includes a mounting platform and a jig.

An intervertebral implant for spondylolisthesis correction includes a superior side with serrations angled superiorly and toward the implant insertion direction, an inferior side with serrations angled inferiorly and opposite the implant insertion direction, and an instrument connection feature. An instrument for connection to the implant includes an implant connection feature movable between unlocked and locked states, and a friction-reducing feature movable between disengaged and engaged states. The instrument has a first state, in which the implant connection feature is in the unlocked state and the friction-reducing feature is in the disengaged state; a second state, in which the implant connection feature is in the locked state and the friction-reducing feature is in the engaged state; and a third state, in which the implant connection feature is in the locked state and the friction-reducing feature is in the disengaged state. Methods of apparatus assembly and surgery are disclosed.

REVERSE SHOULDER SYSTEMS

The present disclosure are directed toward an articular assembly configured to be coupled with a bone anchor. The articular assembly may include an articular body having a first end and a second end with an articular surface disposed on or adjacent to the first end. The articular body may include a bone anchor interface disposed between the first end and the second end of the articular body. The bone anchor interface may include a channel formed in a circumferential surface of the articular body, a locking member disposed in the channel, and/or a deflectable portion disposed between the locking member and the second end of the articular body.

VERTICALLY AND LATERALLY EXPANDABLE VERTEBRAL CAGE
20230190490 · 2023-06-22 ·

An expandable vertebral device includes a base assembly having end portions that are movable relative to one another via adjustment of an adjustment mechanism at the first end portion. A plurality of movable plates are movably disposed at the base assembly and are at least vertically movable relative to the base assembly as the end portions are moved relative to one another. Each of the end portions has a pair of vertical guide elements and may have a pair of lateral guide elements. Each of the movable plates includes a vertical guide that moves along the respective vertical guide element and may have a lateral guide that moves along a respective lateral guide element. When the adjustment mechanism is adjusted to draw the end portions toward one another, the movable plates move outward from a longitudinal axis of the base assembly as the guides move along the respective guide elements.
