The expandable intervertebral spacer is transitions from a first configuration to a second configuration by structural interfacing between steps defined on the first endplate, the second endplate, and the driving member. Steps include a surface that lies on a plane disposed at a non-parallel angle to the longitudinal axis of the intervertebral spacer.
Expandable interbody implant with teeth driven linkages
A spinal interbody implant includes a shaft extending along and rotatable about a central axis. The shaft includes a first threaded region. The implant further includes a first link having a first end with first gear teeth. The first end of the first link is fixed at a first point relative to the central axis such that the first gear teeth engage the first threaded region.
Intervertebral implant with keel
An intervertebral implant component of an intervertebral implant includes an outer surface for engaging an adjacent vertebra and an inner surface. A keel extends from the outer surface and is designed to be disposed in a slot provided in the adjacent vertebra. This keel extends in a plane which is non-perpendicular to the outer surface; and preferably there are two of the keels extending from the outer surface which are preferably offset laterally from one another. In another embodiment, an anterior shelf is provided at an anterior end of the outer surface, and this anterior shelf extends vertically away from the inner surface in order to help prevent bone growth from the adjacent vertebra towards the inner surface. Further in accordance with disclosed embodiments, various materials, shapes and forms of construction of the component and/or keel provide various benefits.
Expandable fusion device and method of installation thereof
The present invention provides an expandable fusion device capable of being installed inside an intervertebral disc space to maintain normal disc spacing and restore spinal stability, thereby facilitating an intervertebral fusion. In one embodiment, the fusion device includes a body portion, a first endplate, and a second endplate, the first and second endplates capable of being moved in a direction away from the body portion into an expanded configuration or capable of being moved towards the body portion into an unexpanded configuration. The fusion device is capable of being deployed and installed in both configurations.
Vertebral implants and attachment assemblies
A prosthetic implant for engagement between first and second vertebrae. The implant includes a first plate configured for attachment to the first vertebrae and defining a first interbody connection member and a second plate configured for attachment to the second vertebrae and defining a second interbody connection member. An interbody component includes a body with a first end defining a first plate connection member configured for connection to the first interbody connection member and a second end defining a second plate connection member configured for connection to the second interbody connection member. Expandable lordotic interbodies and related methods
The present disclosure relates to an expandable interbody that includes superior and inferior shells enclosing a control mechanism that includes interlocking proximal and distal cages as well as an adjustment screw that longitudinally translates the distal cage relative to the proximal cage and thereby expands interbody by pushing apart the distal ends of the superior and inferior shells.

Proposed is a vertebral cage including a body which is inserted between a vertebra and a neighboring vertebra, and is provided with a space part that can be filled with bone powder; a blade which is rotatably provided on an inner side surface of the body. The cage also includes a locking means which fixes the blade, which has or has not been rotated on the body, on the inner side surface of the body, wherein the locking means comprises fixing protrusions and groove parts which are provided on mutually facing surfaces of the body and the blade, and coupled to each other.
EXPANDABLE INTERBODY IMPLANT AND CORRESPONDING SURGICAL TOOL
An interbody system including an implant and a tool for inserting and expanding the medical implant and locking the implant in place is disclosed. The medical implant may include an expandable body defined by a superior endplate and an inferior endplate that are hingedly coupled and may be expanded and lordosed. The superior and inferior endplate may include radially disposed and opposed surfaces that mate and/or directly contact each other when a locking screw is threaded through a screw aperture. The implant may include a threaded breakoff screw disposed in the threaded screw aperture and movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, for example. In the locked position, the threaded locking screw may urge the distal engagement surface of the first core into direct contact with the proximal engagement surface of the second core. When broken, the breakoff screw may comprise a recessed fracture surface.
EXPANDABLE INTERBODY IMPLANT AND CORRESPONDING INSERTER
An expandable implant may include an expandable body defined by a superior endplate and an inferior endplate that are hingedly coupled and may be expanded and lordosed by an external surgical tool. The superior endplate may include a first core having a distal engagement surface and the inferior endplate may a second core having a proximal engagement surface and a threaded screw aperture. The implant may include a threaded locking screw disposed in the threaded screw aperture and movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, for example. In the locked position, the threaded locking screw may urge the distal engagement surface of the first core into direct contact with the proximal engagement surface of the second core. The implant may include a pair of mounting tangs that may be sheared off and/or recesses. The locking screw may be a break-off screw.
