Expandable implant assembly

An expandable implant includes a top support configured to engage a first portion of vertebral bone, a bottom support configured to engage a second portion of vertebral bone, and a control assembly coupled to the top support and the bottom support and configured to control relative movement between the top support and the bottom support. The control assembly includes a control member including a head and a body portion. The head includes a recess and the body portion includes at least one access port in fluid communication with the recess to enable delivery of fluid to an interior of the implant via the recess and at least one access port.

Embodiments herein are generally directed to spinal implants, systems, apparatuses, and components thereof that can be used in spinal fusion and/or stabilization procedures, as well as methods of installation. The spinal implants may include an intervertebral spacer and a plate member.

Elbow arthroplasty apparatus, system, and method

The present disclosure generally relates to an elbow arthoplasty prosthesis that includes an ulnar component, a humeral component, one or more articulation liners, and a retention trap. The ulnar component includes a spherical bearing head that can be inserted into the humeral component in a number of orientations. The articulation liners and the retention trap are operatively engaged to the humeral component to retain the ulnar component within a humeral socket. The present disclosure also relates to methods of assembling and implanting the prosthetic device.

BONE FUSION SURGICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD

A bone fusion method, system and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together and/or in place of one or more of the bones, such as, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device comprises one or more extendable tabs having a central rib. The bone fusion device includes one or more support channels configured to receive an insertion instrument that is then secured to the bone fusion device via a coupling mechanism. As a result, the coupled device is able to be securely positioned between vertebrae using the insertion instrument with minimal risk of slippage.

A spacer for separating bones of a joint, the spacer includes a first endplate configured to engage a first bone of the joint; a second endplate configured to engage a second bone of the joint; and an actuation subassembly comprising a drive nut, a drive screw coupled to the drive nut, and a cam frame coupled to the drive screw, wherein the cam frame is disposed between the first endplate and the second endplate, wherein the cam frame comprises a proximal frame end, a distal frame end, and lateral frame sides, wherein cams disposed on the lateral frame sides selectively engage at least one of the first endplate or the second endplate.

TOOLS FOR SPINAL SURGERY

Tools adapted for spinal surgery are provided. More specifically, tools having an elongate cylindrical cannula connected to a plurality of sharp-edged blades are provided for imparting a force for displacing vertebral bodies. Apparatuses and methods for accurate, rapid, and reliable placement of surgical cages or other medical implants in a patients spine are also provided.

EXPANDABLE CAGE
20210251770 · 2021-08-19 · ·

An expandable cage for placement between adjacent vertebrae having two or more upper and lower end plates having compound-angled slots, ramps or rails, and a drive means having corresponding compound-angled slots, ramps or rails configured to slidingly engage the compound-angled slots, ramps or rails of the two or more upper and lower end plates, wherein movement of the drive means in a first direction moves the two or more upper and lower end plates away from each other both vertically and horizontally to expand both a height and a width of the expandable cage from a collapsed state to an expanded state.

EXPANDABLE INTERBODY IMPLANT
20210220147 · 2021-07-22 ·

The present invention generally relates to an expandable interbody implant. Specifically, the present invention is an expandable interbody implant having an anterior and posterior wedge and opposing endplates. In some embodiments, a slot parallel to the wedge face may be located on each endplate, with a pin holding the endplates to the respective wedges. Additionally, in some implementations, lateral rails may extend from the anterior wedge to the posterior wedge. Furthermore, the expandable implant may include a locking mechanism configured to prevent unwanted collapse.

Surgically implantable joint spacer
11129728 · 2021-09-28 ·

A surgically implantable spacer including a primary body, a normal positioning member, and a translative positioning and locking control member. The normal positioning member is slideably assembled to the primary body, wherein the normal positioning member slides in a normal direction. The locking control member is slideably assembled to the normal positioning member. Projections of the locking control member seat in one of a series of positioning notches. The series of positioning notches are arranged in a stair step arrangement. As the locking control member is driven forward, the locking control member is raised by the projection and notch arrangement, thus raising the normal positioning member. This motion increases a span between a bottom surface and a top surface of the surgically implantable spacer.

Implant with Freely Moveable Endplates
20210290405 · 2021-09-23 ·

An interbody fusion device including pivoting endplates is disclosed. The endplates define grooves between the endplates to house sliding pins. A threaded shaft extends through the implant to connect the endplates and the sliding pins. The implant is fit to be inserted into an intervertebral disc space to pivot according to the natural angles of the adjacent vertebrae. The shaft can be rotated to adjust the sliding pins into a position to provide support to the endplates at the angle they take between the vertebrae.
